We've had such a positive experience with Tutor Time of Upland. Ms. Letty was extremely thorough during our tour, and offered us such flexibility that fit our needs. She's always been a positive cheer for my child, egging him on to step out of his comfort zone at school, which is exactly what he needs-- adults that offer him a safe space. Ms. Wendy is attentive and her school flows with such ease and I cannot give her enough credit to the way that school is ran. She's always willing to lend a helping hand in whatever situation, and again my son looks for her every morning and every pick up. While we already know and love all the staff the ones who have such a positive impact and have stood out the most for our family have been Ms. Arlene, Ms. Vanessa, and Ms. Michelle. My child has grown such a bond with them in such a short amount of time and my heart cannot be more full. We love Tutor Time of Upland and they will always be our first recommendation! read more

There aren't enough good things to say about this school, along with the staff. My 3 year old started here about 5 months ago and it has been the easiest transition. The first 3 years of his life he was at home with me so I was expecting a much more rough transition, since I had been the only taking care of him. The first day was your typical crying at drop off; I'm not sure who was more scared, him or me. As a parent your first thought and priority is the safety of your child and their well being. Within the first 30 minutes Ms. Vanessa was sharing positive updates about my son along with pictures of him smiling and having fun. I cannot describe the comfort I felt. The next couple of days Ms. Vanessa made it a point to show my son that she was there to take care of him and protect him. By the third day there was no more tears. My son runs into his classroom now and sometimes even forgets to say bye to me because he's that excited. Apart from Ms. Vanessa, all the teachers there are so very warming and welcoming. My son knows every teacher and every teacher makes it a point to know him as well. Apart from Ms. Vanessa, my son also spends a lot of time with Ms. Michelle. He looks for her every morning, as does she, and he asks me every morning if it's time for him to move up to her class. Seeing their bond makes me realize how grateful I am that he is able to attend a school with such great staff. During his initial days, the assistant director Ms. Letty was there to assure him that he was safe and that they were always going to take care of him. My son is more on the timid side so he struggles with adapting to new environments at time. Ms. Wendy, the director, has offered him the same safe space as the others and she's always been extremely helpful and attentive to whatever needs we may have. They're always cheering him on for his next steps, giving him the confidence that he needs. My son looks forward to seeing each and every one of the staff and he immediately notices if someone isn't there, but most importantly he recognizes the safety that they hold, which is why I believe he's had such a positive experience. Apart from the staff, the other kids are a dream. They are all such respectful and well-educated kids that I have no doubt that they treat my son well, and vice versa. Again, I can't say enough good things about this school. From the live feed cameras, to the staff and kids. They make it a point to make sure that the kids are experiencing new activities and are always engaged, from water day to bike day, or learning how to put together a trail mix snack. I want to start off by saying that we are not direct customers of TutorTime, but we have used their services in Upland before through our backup care network provided by my employer (through Bright Horizons Backup Care). The one time that we brought our daughter to the center, the staff seemed annoyed with my wife that they brought her in for the day, but accepted her. From my observation, the facility was quite cute - had an indoor "play town" for the older kids to enjoy and the staff that were hanging with my daughter were nice and she seemed to enjoy her time. I really wanted to like this place as it has great value just a few minutes away from our house. We gave TutorTime the benefit of the doubt and said amongst the both of us while they aren't our first choice, that we'd try them again if the situation necessitated - being so close to our house. This past week, I requested time for my daughter on Wednesday for the upcoming Friday. Got a call from TutorTime saying they were full and unable to accept her that week and an email from Bright Horizons saying she was "waitlisted" - totally understand - that's the point of backup care and I understand they can't always accomodate us. I call Bright Horizons and they confirm that the request is closed out. Come the day after, I noticed a copay charge on my card as if the Bright Horizons request had gone through. After calling today, I found out from the lady that they unwaitlisted the request on Friday morning and didn't call or email me to tell me that they were able to accept my daughter for the day. This is EXTREMELY shady to me, as I'm sure TutorTime got my copay and the payment from the Bright Horizons benefit knowing full well that I wouldn't notice so late and bring her in same day. I'd stay away. We won't be back and will try other facilities in network - even if it means a drive to Pasadena. read more

Hello Parents and Caregivers, We recently transferred to Tutor Time Upland a little over six months ago. This being our fourth school, we weren't expecting much--we were just happy to get in, as this was the school we initially wanted to start with. However, due to the waitlist and our desire for our two-year-old to begin preschool, we had to look elsewhere. After trying two schools that ultimately couldn't accommodate my son's allergies, we were fortunate to find one where we stayed for some time. While it never felt like the "dream school," he seemed happy, so we assumed that was the best we could hope for. However, when my youngest was ready to start there, we realized the school wasn't a good fit for him. He has a speech delay, and while some teachers were wonderful, not everyone was on the same page regarding his needs. Then the day came when I decided to check if Tutor Time Upland finally had availability--and they did! Given our past experiences, we weren't expecting much, but let me tell you, the difference was like night and day. No wonder there was a waitlist! Everyone at this school is amazing, and I mean everyone. They are both professional and personal in every situation. You can always feel comfortable talking to the staff about anything, from concerns to finances. The curriculum is truly visible in everything they do. And the food? It's so good! Both my boys were known for not eating at school, but they eat here! My youngest, who has a speech delay, receives incredible support, and all his teachers understand and actively work with us on his developmental goals. On the other hand, my oldest, who is ahead developmentally, was recently moved up from preschool to TK, and they've worked with him wonderfully as well. The staff is always on the same page, and they genuinely remember the little things--which, as parents, means the world to us. Our kids attended TutorTime for the last 6 years and I cannot speak more highly of the staff and of our experience. For context, my older son (now 8) attended TutorTime from ages 2-5 and prior to TutorTime was at 5 other daycares. We tried everything from a Montessori to a large Christian school to other large chain daycares in the area and nothing compares to TutorTime. I felt that other daycares didn't provide as much enrichment or activities for my son, teachers were not as responsive, and my son would cry often at drop off. At other daycares, I had concerns with diaper changes, communication delays and also with biting from other kids. I've never had any of these concerns at TutorTime. My older son started at TutorTime right after he turned 2. I immediately felt my son was in the best care and can say from experience that it all really depends on the leadership. Ms Wendy, the director, is so kind, responsive and you can tell she genuinely cares about all of the kids. Lety, who handles admin and is directly below Ms. Wendy, was phenomenal as well, so detailed and always aware of what's going on in all of the classrooms. I never had any concerns with diaper changes, food or the behaviors of other kids. And I honestly never felt like any of the staff doesn't love being with kids, they all have been so great. I really appreciated all of the updates via their app and pictures throughout the day, which gave me plenty to talk about with my kids upon pickup. They have nice playgrounds and also offer soccer classes weekly, which my kids really enjoyed. The summer camp program is really great as well, with water play, STEM and lots of fun activities. Both of my kids left TutorTime ready for Kindergarten, knowing how to write their names, use scissors, count and both actually knew how to read (though I'm sure the reading part had to do with my husband and I working with them on reading at home). I wouldn't hesitate one bit to recommend TutorTime. Last week was my little one's last day there, and it had me very emotional. I am really grateful for Ms. Wendy, Ms. Lety and their staff. Also... Ms. Melissa, who was my son's last teacher, is a gem! I don't know how she managed to plan so many fun projects. My daughter was coming 2x per week to tutor time. She was enrolled in the pre k program. I noticed her confidence just declining and slowly started noticing her behavior changing, she wasn't as sweet as she was , she started playing and hitting. I would try to take her to school and she hated going. I began paying more attention to the cameras and noticed some kids hitting her , making her cry in the classroom. I approached Ms Melissa and Ms kim as well as the administrators several times but the bullying continued. My last straw was when i saw her crying as two girls waved a pencil and did not let her color. Nothing was done. I saw her through the cameras so i rushed to pick her up. Wendy the director down played the situation saying " thats normal for kids". She continued, " i watched her in the camera". If you watch someone in the camera and you notice a child crying being bullied as the administrator you help out and stop this immediately. This is far from Normal , for kids to begin their development thinking hitting and using un kind words is ok? And a 4 year old to cry and have pencils waved at her is not normal. Please watch the cameras if you notice any behavior change. This director Wendy thinking hitting and waving pencils is normal could cost you your child's safety. You pay to have your kid safe and their confidence not compromised at such a young age. Please be vigilant. Best decision to withdraw her from this environment. Now my daughter is thriving away from this type of environment and Ms Wendy the director rationalizing aggression as normal. read more

We have been a tutor time member for a year now and this year has been amazing. My Son has developed and learned so much being in the toddler class and having Miss Emily as his teacher! She is so kind and friendly with the kids. But the best thing is her communication with me as a parent. She always tells me how my son did that day. Highly recommend Tutor Time of Upland! My child started attending at 6 months in the infant class. While she had a rough time with the transition, Mrs. Melissa, Mrs. Maria, and Mrs. Julia were amazing and helped her feel comfortable. In fact, all of the teachers (even in other classrooms) were so supportive and clearly cared about my child. It feels like a big family! She now loves daycare and is doing so well there. I love that they have a curriculum for the infants-they are getting plenty of enrichment and learning opportunities even at such a young age. Additionally, being able to get updates and see live camera footage through the Sprout About app has been a huge perk! Daycares are all very pricey, but this Tutor Time location has absolutely been worth it for the quality care my child is getting. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Tutor Time, Upland. It is a bittersweet moment for us, as our child graduates from the Tutor-Time program since beginning as an infant. Under the leadership of Ms. Wendy and Mrs. Leti, we've experienced a quality education that is centered around creating a positive experience for the child and parents. The teachers and leadership have designed a curriculum that is functional for various learning styles. The teachers and leadership genuinely care about the growth and development of each child, and I've always felt our child was in a safe and supportive environment. Our child experienced some challenges transitioning back to school during the pandemic and Ms. Melissa and Mrs. Selly did a phenomenal job being patient, and most importantly, challenging our child so she can ultimately become more confident in her abilities and is now thriving and ready for kindergarten. Ms. Tracey has done well in incorporating more complex academic assignments, so the Junior K students are more prepared for Kindergarten, while also making things fun and exciting along the way. As very hands-on parents, we found that the tutor-time environment was most conducive to our needs as well as the needs of our child. I owe a lot to tutor-time for allowing our child to grow at her own pace and become comfortable in a school environment. We will always cherish our experience with tutor time, the teachers, leadership, and the bonds created with friends. Amazing daycare and preschool. I have 3 kids and I have pretty much had a child in each of their classrooms at some point. Teachers/staff and coordinator Wendy are all wonderful. Its a goid sign when the staff have been working there for years and some retired working wt Tutor Time, it indicates a good place to work. They are all very professional, charismatic and dedicated to teach and care for the children. I cannot pick a favorite teacher because they are all wonderful. Academically, they are advanced preparing the kids for elementary school...I see the difference between my son who started there at 1 years old and the other that started at 3 years old because of the lockdown... highly recommend this school and even the after school program. I have been a tutor time parent for the Last 6 years, and I LOVE everything about it. My oldest is 10 and has been in the school age room for the last few years and he absolutely hates when he skips a day at daycare. Ms. Denise and Ms. Jules treat the kids as if they were their own which melts my freakin heart. They help him complete his homework when school is in session and They take the kids on educational field trips during the summer. (I even get to be a chaperone sometimes :-) ). My little one is 4 and started when she was 9 weeks old. It has been an amazing journey with them and my little one. They potty trained her and have exposed her to so many new things and she has such a wide range of words in her vocabulary. Ms. Emily potty trained her. Ms. Arlene helped her socialize with other kids when she was going through a cat phase. We are in Ms. Leslie's class now, Ms. Leslie is amazing with her and makes sure that my little "princess" doesn't get into too much trouble and is teaching her how to write her name and identify numbers, letters, and other things that are in our world. These ladies have made us feel like we were family to them and I appreciate every single moment of it. It takes a lot of patience and strength to take care of and teach kids that don't belong to you and they do it 5 days a week. No other daycare can measure up to this place. Today is my daughters last day at Tutor Time and we are so sad to be leaving. She has been here since she was 2.5 and she is now 4 years old. She has THRIVED here. She's made great friends and has had nothing but excellent teachers. When we first enrolled her, she was about 2.5 and she was in Miss Emily's class. We LOVE Miss Emily, but I will say that her class did seem a little chaotic at the time. As a mom my biggest concern is always the transition but all the teachers are so loving towards the kids when they see them struggle at dropoff. Once she was potty trained she moved up to Miss Arlene's class. My daughter absolutely adored Miss Arlene. Arlene is SUPER sweet and so bubbly, all the kids love her. Then when my daughter turned three she moved up to Miss Leslie and Miss Daci's class. Both of them are SO nice and this is where I feel my daughter really started to learn. She learned how to draw, write, paint, days of the week, numbers, spelling, etc. She has done so so well. I love that they have an app, called BrightWheel, so you get updates throughout the day about their food, nap, potty, etc. As a parent, it doesn't get better than that AND you get pictures and videos too! The only reason we are leaving is because we are moving but otherwise there is no way we would leave. Dropping off my daughter is always a pleasant experience and I have peace of mind when she's there. We'll miss you guys! :( read more

Tutor Time is amazing!!! We enrolled my 2.5 year-old daughter in the Twaddlers group (24-36 months) 2-3 days a week so she would be able to interact with other children her age and learn new skills to prepare her for pre-school (ages 3-4). She is doing wonderfully here. She adores her teachers and really loves all the new friends she's made. During the week she wakes up and asks daily if she's going to school and gets so excited on the days we tell her yes. The teacher to student ratio is 1:10 and the teachers are incredibly attentive to each child. Activities are incredibly structured and focus of pre-school preparation. The facility is impeccably clean and and the most beautiful childcare/learning center I visited in my many tours of at least 4 other centers. I would highly recommend this Tutor Time to anyone with children of any age. They start taking children at ages 6+ weeks up to Private Kindergarden and are truly nurturing to all of these children no matter what their age. For those considering this center you won't be let down. They even offer a free trial day so that your child can try it out and you are allowed to attend as much or as little of it as you'd like to get a feel for what your child's day will entail. Make sure you ask the director/person in charge of registration "How many spots" are open and what the availability is before going in and wasting your time. I went in on Thursday evening (5:30) for a tour and to check out the faciltiy and by Monday I was called at noon and informed that they were full and had no more openings and that because I didn't leave the $180 registration fee on Thursday they couldn't hold a spot or inform me that they only had 4 spot left. Once you give $180 "YOUR SPOT" will be held. I informed the front desk and the women I spoke to over the phone that I'd be able to make the payment on Monday or Tuesday of the following week, never once was urgency placed on the matter that they had a limited amount of openings left for my children and it was a first come first serve basis. I feel at that time one of the 2 women should have mentioned that they were practically full and needed the money that day to "HOLD MY SPOT" So basically, if you tour this facility, ASK questions on how many openings are avail or be ready to drop $180 same day to hold "YOUR SPOT" -_- ANNOYED! read more

I would never recommend tutor time to any of my family or friends. It's is very clear that the director of this establishment is in this business for one thing; the money. My spouse and I thought that if we paid top dollar for child care, we would receive the very best. We were wrong. Our child had a difficult time acclimating to the newness of school. While my child's teacher was wonderful and she did everything she could to make the transition easy on our child, it was very clear that the director was unwilling to make any kind of compromise or concession that would make this change in our lives easier. I can see how tutor time can appear impressive with all of its bells and whistles. As a full time mom of a 3 1/2 year old who wouldn't tell me about his day, I enjoyed getting the email updates about what and how much he ate, how long he napped, and what activities he was engaged in for the day. However, when I enrolled my son, I asked that he be placed in the older class, pointing out thay he had been in pre-k with older children, is accustomed to being around older children due to our close friends, is very curious, verbal and ahead of his age, etc. However I was told he would be better suited in the class thay correlated with his age (without any assessment as to his abilities, etc). I was given several reasons, and later was told that they did not have the space for him in the older class. I wish they said that from yr beginning instead of providing reasons that presumed they knew my son better than i did. After weeks in the program, upon picking him up one day, he wanted to write his name down. His regular teacher, Ms. Arlene (a lovely person in general and very sweet) turned and surprisingly asked my son, you know how to write your name?! I was shocked. Despite spending all day with my child 5 days a week, creating the image that they are spending quality time with our children, she didn't even know he knew how to write his name? I reiterated that I was in part why I asked her and the director to place him in a more advanced group (most children didn't speak much in his group and he was also lacking thday social interaction). She agreed to emphasize this new discovery to the director. The next time I saw the director, she said Ms Arlene spoke with her about the name writing and they now agree it makes sense to bump him up. So while they have a safe environment with ongoing activities in the summer and kind faculty, I am disappointed in how superficial the time they spent witg my son was. Instead of posting updated and pics all day, it would be better to spend quality time with our children to cultivate their abilities. read more

We enrolled my son here when he turned 18 months old. With COVID, we were worried about enrolling him into daycare but also because of COVID, we needed to as both my husband and I work and he was starting to be too much for his grandma to have to watch him full time. We loved Tutor Time from the very first time we went. Even though we weren't able to walk around and see it(COVID rules) we felt instantly comfortable with the staff and professionalism that was exhibited. It was clear they were following all CDC guidelines and it was also evident they knew what they were doing in terms of childcare. They have a live stream where you can watch your precious child which made us feel safer and more comfortable, especially during that first week! They provide the food and diapers and wipes. They somehow get all the kids to eat and take naps together. It's amazing. My son loves going: he took no time at all to adapt to this major change in his life. They are interactive with the kids, they do crafts and circle time and outdoor/indoor play. It's perfect for my son. I also appreciate how kind and responsive the director is. She is always answering my emails in a thorough and timely manner. read more

Mine & my daughters experience with Tutor time has been nothing less than amazing. My daughter is 4 years old and has been at Tutor time since she was 1. We recently moved so I switched her from the Walnut location to the Upland location. My daughter had a hard time transitioning into her new classroom & her teacher Ms.Leslie has been very patient and understanding. The directors of the daycare Ms.Wendy and Ms.Letty have been very helpful as well. I truly believe Tutor time has played a huge roll in helping my daughter become such a smarty. I can not find the words to express how much my family and I love and appreciate the staff of this Tutortime. My son, who is now six, started attending this school when he was 7 weeks old. Since the first morning when I tearfully placed him in the arms of Miss April, they have cared for and nurtured us as part of an extended family. Leaving my son, at a day care was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but the kindness and dedication of the staff has made it one of the best decisions I have made for both of my children. My children have learned what it means to be a good friend, and gained extensive foundational skills that have put them ahead of their peers when entering kindergarten. In addition to providing my children crucial skills and socialization, they have also been a community of caring adults where I could turn with questions and guidance for those mommy moments, that leave us all feeling lost from time to time. I can not imagine or entertain the thought of entrusting my children to anyone, other than the loving and caring staff of this Tutortime. They are simply wonderful, and though one day my children will outgrow Tutortime, we will always consider them a part of our family....always. read more

Ms. Wendy is very rude, there is staff that is hired conflict of interest and they will not care about your child or parent relationship with the center. They care more about accommodating their staff versus ensuring that you as a parent feel comfortable leaving your child there. Stay away from this center because they will direct you to find another center and say they have better things to do than deal with parents concerns.They all back up each other and hide behind one another. It is not a welcoming place, I'm saddened that people you trust can turn on you so quickly. read more
