We had him tested and he really was struggling. He never mention it to him but shared about his overall character and that with a little help he will thrive. My son has been coming here since October, and already I have seen an immense improvement in his reading + his confidence. He came in with knowing how to "read" only about 20ish high frequency words and now he is able to read many new words he's seeing for the first time just by using the phonics lessons he's been receiving. The staff here is very friendly and my son loves all the tutors and enjoys going to his lessons. They have a good incentive program as well where the kids are able to get points to get prizes and my son loves seeing his points grow more and more. He went from not wanting to go to school because everything was too hard to now feeling confident and loving school again. My daughter is 7 years old and struggled with reading and the fundamentals of reading. I was passing by one day and saw this location in Downey and called and made an appointment. The picture of the location is literally the day I took a picture of the location, I took it as a sign. I was so desperate for helping my daughter since covid really affected her, not being able to attend school and me not being able to help her because I was working and then welcomed a second baby it got to be too much and I needed to help my daughter not fall further behind in her education. Her teacher told me she was really struggling her 1st semester of First grade so I had to do something. So once I called and met with David he evaluated my daughter and gave me a plan for her and then after I saw it was within my budget I took a leap of faith and enrolled her. My daughter really needed help so her plan requires her to come everyday Monday through Friday for an hour. And can I tell you my daughter hated reading like really hated reading. She would avoid it and it was because it was so hard for her to do. She struggled and would cry at home because reading was so hard for her to do but once she attended tutoring and soon after a few days of attending tutoring I was seeing her so interested in reading. They started her program with phonics and I would hear her sound out words out loud when I would be driving and doing my errands. And then she would want books at the grocery market, target, Walmart, etc. anywhere I did my shopping. I was so happy to know she was not only enjoying getting new books but reading out loud to me. She always looks forward to tutoring. She loves her instructors and the staff. The instructors would give her homework she could do and it was a page or two and she would be able to finish it on our car ride back home and I can see the confidence in her when she would say "mom, I'm done" or say "mom, this was easy"I would check to see if she did do it correctly and she would. I would give her high fives and she would do her happy dance. That made me so happy for her. But the day she came home with her certificate that said she completed phonics and will start reading she was beyond excited. She saw that after the reading step is math she got even more excited and that made me so excited and happy for her. The tutoring club has made it safe for me to know I can see my daughter with her instructor. There are no classrooms it's a big open space so I can always see her and the instructor she has and that made me feel comfortable. They're amazing. I'm glad I took that leap of faith. I've never been happier with this program. They really do care about my daughter's progress in excelling. They are a very understanding company that works well with families because they know how crazy life can get. They always keep me updated on changes and always motivating my daughter. So I would really encourage you if you're looking for an honest staff and instructors where you can feel safe and your kids feel safe and it's fun and able to learn and really excel This is it!!! My daughter goes to the Downey, Ca location. My daughter is an lausd student and she was able to attend this tutoring location. I hope this helps a future parent or guardian. read more

My son has been attending tutoring for 3 months and I can definitely see improvement in his reading which was the subject he struggled the most, he hated reading he would always avoid it and now he likes to challenge himself, my husband and I saw improvement almost immediately, he now reads and tries his best on the challenging words, I currently have him going to tutoring for 2 hours 3 days out of the week. He loves going to tutoring more, I had him going for 1hr and he requested for 2hrs. It's extremely easy to communicate with the staff to schedule him or re schedule him, everyone is extremely friendly and the process to get him in was smooth.
