I did not have a good experience with the Tuttle Insurance Group. I found Scott Tuttle to be slow to respond and difficult to work with. But worse than that, when my son came off my insurance policy because he decided to buy his own, Tuttle refused to refund any of the monies I paid for in advance. I sent three notices starting three months in advance. he will say he did not receive anything from me. But I kept copies of all my correspondences. He also said emails were not good enough and he needed proof of new insurance. My new insurance agent said that is not true. Still, I tried to send it and for some reasons he couldn't seem to open it. When the insurance finally lapsed on its own because of all the stonewalling, (this went on for several months,) he said it was too late and I needed to go directly to the insurance company to try and get it. I have been purchasing insurance for over 30 years and have never had a similar problem. I see in reading some reviews that there is someone named patrick was great. I wish I had dealt with him. Maybe things would have worked out better than dealing with the owner. read more

Got a very low rate in the mail so I called to follow up. When they did the actual quote the premium was much higher but still competitive so I told them I wanted to move forward. After at least 5 emails/calls to remind them over a three week period I finally gave up and went another direction. HUge waste of my time - don't make the same mistake. read more

I just got off the phone with Maria from Tuttle Insurance because Katie, my usual agent had taken a rare day off. Let's start with Katie who remembers more about my policies than I do. First of all, she is incredibly knowledgeable and ALWAYS has insurance options that are COST EFFECTIVE. She will spend as much time as necessary PATIENTLY answering my questions (even if she's answered the SAME questions before!) Over the years, Katie has proven herself to be much more than an insurance agent, for she's a friend whom I can count on and trust. When I called Tuttle insurance yesterday to get some information on several policies, Maria answered the phone in Katie's absence. Rather than say, "Katie will be in tomorrow; can I put you through to her voicemail?", Maria encouraged me to see if she could help....my questions were not in dire need of immediate answers, but Maria answered EVERY SINGLE QUESTION clearly and GRACIOUSLY. Yes, this should be standard protocol in any business where you are the customer, HOWEVER, I believe that the Tuttle team has set the bar to a TRUE five star for its highest of standards, very competitive rates and CONSISTENT customer service. I received an unsolicited offer on home insurance from Tuttle a few weeks ago. I am looking for a better deal on this so I called. I spoke with Shelly and gave her my contact information. A few days later, Brad called me back and I provided him details on my home which were not considered in his unsolicited offer, this being the house's proximity to Long Island Sound.
