Probably because there aren't as many male dancers, several other local dance stores don't carry many items for boys/men, but this location has it all! Dance tights, dance pants, dance shirts and dance shoes in a variety of styles and sizes. It is a bit more expensive than some options (like amazon), but there is value in getting to try things on in person (instead of guessing at sizes) and also supporting a local business. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. They were also really patient with my son who was having issues with the texture of some of the tights and working with him to find something that would work for his needs. If you need dance supplies, definitely recommend stopping here!

Someone suggested Dancer's Closet and I'm glad I checked them out. The store has anything and everything dance related. Dance clothes, leotards, pants, shirts, shoes, bags, tights, jewelry and trinkets. The dance shoes are on display on the side of the store. When you know which shoe you want to try on, the staff will get it for you from a back room. The little stools to sit on while trying the shoes on are fairly comfortable and the area where you try things on is spacious. She brought me several pairs in a variety of sizes and widths (because dance shoes can run strangely). I was happy to find a pair that worked perfectly. While I was there, I also wanted to look at tap shoes for my daughter. She just started tap and since we aren't sure if she is going to stick with it (and because kid's feet grow so quickly) I didn't want to pay full price. The clerk was able to find a sale pair at their other location and had it sent over to the Murrysville store for me! That was great service because a lot of stores would have tried to convince me that paying the $30 for shoes for her was worth it. If you are a dancer (or have one in your life) I recommend checking out this cute shop and supporting a local business.

Their prices aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I prefer to have my daughter's dance shoes fitted rather than picking up anything from Target, so I like going here for those. Also, if in doubt about gear, regular store associates at a target/ Walmart etc will not know about dance wear, but these ladies do. So yes, I recommend them. My wife and I (we are a happily married couple - 37 years- I'm 65 and my wife is 62) looked into…read moreand began our lessons at BallroomVille Dance approx. 3 months ago; we checked out a couple other places, but when we met Kelsey and Igor, we knew that was where we would learn - after 65 and 62 years - how to dance; my wife and I both have "2 left feet" when it came to dancing; Kelsey has brought us along at a pace we are comfortable with; we take 2 lessons a week, and we are so excited about what we've learned, we practice 3 times a week at one of our university's (where we both work) courts; we signed up for 60 lessons (our daughter is getting married next August, and we promised her that we would dance appropriately (no beer) and fashionably at her wedding; we couldn't be happier with our experience with Kelsey - she is professional, yet gracious, classy, yet humble, and we never leave her place without knowing exactly what we've learned; she meets us at our level of learning and we are completely at ease with each new lesson; Kelsey takes nothing for granted and always explains everything with great detail, never making us feel inadequate; she possesses enormous positive physical and emotional energy, and my wife and I are energized by her energy!
