It is a bit more expensive than some options (like amazon), but there is value in getting to try things on in person (instead of guessing at sizes) and also supporting a local business. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. They were also really patient with my son who was having issues with the texture of some of the tights and working with him to find something that would work for his needs. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I prefer to have my daughter's dance shoes fitted rather than picking up anything from Target, so I like going here for those. Also, if in doubt about gear, regular store associates at a target/ Walmart etc will not know about dance wear, but these ladies do. So yes, I recommend them. Someone suggested Dancer's Closet and I'm glad I checked them out. The store has anything and everything dance related. Dance clothes, leotards, pants, shirts, shoes, bags, tights, jewelry and trinkets. The dance shoes are on display on the side of the store. When you know which shoe you want to try on, the staff will get it for you from a back room. The little stools to sit on while trying the shoes on are fairly comfortable and the area where you try things on is spacious. She brought me several pairs in a variety of sizes and widths (because dance shoes can run strangely). I was happy to find a pair that worked perfectly. While I was there, I also wanted to look at tap shoes for my daughter. She just started tap and since we aren't sure if she is going to stick with it (and because kid's feet grow so quickly) I didn't want to pay full price. The clerk was able to find a sale pair at their other location and had it sent over to the Murrysville store for me! That was great service because a lot of stores would have tried to convince me that paying the $30 for shoes for her was worth it. If you are a dancer (or have one in your life) I recommend checking out this cute shop and supporting a local business.
