We love Tutu School! My daughter started in the tutu toddlers 18months - 3 years old as I wasn't sure if she would do it on her own. She loved it so much! Few months after, we moved her to the Exploring Ballet 3-4 years old. She loves her teacher Ms. Faye and looks forward to ballet class every week. We have also taken classes with Ms. Catherine, who is also great. I greatly appreciate that makeup classes do not expire and they respond quickly to emails. The studio is also very clean. My 4 year old has been attending the Tutu School in Eastvale for nearly a year now, we've loved our experience here! There have been 2 formal recitals during the last year but we have only attended the Winter Bash the beginning of this year. The formal recital was run SO well when you consider how many little ballerina's were up and down from their seats, we were super impressed. It is an additional cost but we found it to be very well worth the price. They also offer in-studio performances a few times a year which are so super sweet and no additional cost! As far as the classes go, there is a lot of flexibility as far as what days work for us and scheduling make up classes when we miss, and twice a year they have "unlimited classes" for a month so we could go every day if we wanted. It took some time for us to find a teacher we really enjoy, we have experienced maybe 5 different teachers over the last year, I will be honest, not all were great, so for the price we pay we just kept switching around until we found a teacher that we felt ran her class well, keeps things on track (which is difficult with 3-5 year olds), had good standards for the dancers (listen, pay attention, etc) and was friendly and talented in their field. Some teachers run their class as a little more of fun and entertainment, this can be fun for your child but can sometimes lead to a more rambunctious class which we didn't find to be helpful. Other teachers have high standards and a lot of order which I believe is more beneficial for the class as a whole and for the students to learn at an impressionable age how to behave and follow instructions, all good attributes for ballet in general! So my advice would be to not feel like you need to stick to one class but to try and discover other teachers to find one that works for your little dancer! 10/10 recommend Miss Sarah as a ballet teacher, we were so sad when she switched to a day that didn't work with our schedule but loved every second of our time with her! She ran her class seamlessly with full control, she is knowledgeable, kind, intelligent, and very talented, she works wonderfully with the kids but makes sure that nothing slips through the cracks, her demands for the dancers are high and she doesn't tolerate kids stepping out of line, I seriously cannot recommend her enough! A few other teachers we have tried that we have enjoyed include Miss Faye, and Miss Cathrine! There are a couple teachers that I would not recommend, but I won't put them on blast on yelp. feel free to reach out if you'd really like to know and if you're seriously considering the Tutu School! Overall our experience has been great, we adore the company and have loved our time here, and we're looking forward to adding another dancer in March! read more
