We needed to get tuxedos for my husband's groomsmen and Scott was really helpful and accommodating. He was patient with us the whole time (we were not easy to handle! Lol) and also recommending colors and style because we really didn't know what we were doing or what we wanted. This is also why we appreciate his attention to detail. Every time I started to panic, Scott was always assuring us that everything was going to be okay. So what happened next was that I also needed to get a tux for my father during the last minute because he only flew in the night before and Scott made it happen for us! PLEASE READ THE 1 STAR REVIEWS AND BELIEVE THEM ALL. My husband and I discovered Tuxton at a wedding expo we went to last March 2025. Scott had called us over the summer after having our contact information from the expo; We went to Tuxton that Sept (2025). He was nice to start but honestly the professionalism all these other reviews speak about - not sure it's in the room with us. In September, we inform Scott we have our wedding coming up in May 2026. He put together the tux ensemble for the groomsman and the groom and we took pictures so we knew what it would look like together - the jacket, pants, shoes, tie, vest. He told us to have the groomsmen send measurements in January after the holidays as half were out of state, all of our groomsmen did so. Fast forward to May 7 - one week before our wedding. My husband gives Scott a call to make sure everything is in order that needs to be rented - Scott's response is he didn't know we wanted ties with our tuxes. After having the ensemble put together in September and seeing him write everything down he tells us he didn't know we wanted ties with our tuxes...that was just the start. Scott assures us the ties will be in by Tuesday, May 12th for the groomsmen and they can start picking up their rentals that day. My husband's family flies in from Florida Tuesday morning and he & his brothers all go to pick up the rentals. Things seem great, except nothing fits. The measurements ended up being wrong for 5 out of 7 men renting their full tuxes or pieces from here. On Tuesday, they are told by Scott to go to the warehouse in Kenilworth and pick up the new tuxes. It was either pick them up or have UPS ship them, but Scott said he couldn't confirm when UPS would deliver them leaving the warehouse as the only option. The last out of state groomsmen arrived late Wednesday and no suprise his tux did not fit either - so on the DAY OF OUR WEDDING - my husband, the groom, had to drive to the warehouse to pick up the correct size tux. Scott was very argumentative about this all - which we were warned about from our groomsmen that had to call him and provide their measurements to him; they were told their bodies are weird or that the size they were giving him wasn't correct (mind you this man didn't measure them himself and he's telling them they are wrong, and even the ones Scott measured he still got wrong anyways). We go to return our rentals, Scott asks to speak with us, and puts the blame on everything else - does not apologize for having important members of the wedding run around, saying it's prom season, claims all tux businesses would have been like this - any other small business or a Men's Warehouse - and he blamed "outside measurements" for the tuxes being ill-fitting which doesn't make sense because those sending measurements in just didn't live in NJ but still in the US. The common denominator is Scott. Rather than apologize and take accountability, he calls my husband and I after we left the shop to confront us about a 1 star review someone in our wedding party left for him - we explained we don't have control over their opinions and their experience. Scott thought it was unfair and he disagreed with the review because everything worked out in the end. Let me say this - things were going to work out with or without Scott - whether that meant going to the warehouse or renting from a completely new place - Scott did not provide a solution here, he just wanted the credit for fixing a problem that should not have been a problem in the first place. The service was unprofessional, argumentative, and overall unpleasant. Believe the reviews that say Scott has anger issues - this was made very apparent when he yelled at us about a review we hadn't left and tells my husband "you're only saying these things because you're with her." "Her" being me, his wife, because I expressed that the 1 star review was not in our control but warranted given this whole experience. No apologies, no accountability - just a man telling us he "did his job" and it was piss poor. read more

Scott was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. The negative reviews on here don't add up to me because he always got back to me the same day and our suits looked fantastic! I know a common gripe was that "things went wrong" and he "didn't have enough time to fix it". Clearly these individuals waited until the day before and/or didn't actually go in for measurements. We had 6 adults and 2 kids (4 &6) all of whose suits fit perfectly. Scott was also extremely patient with the kids who absolutely did not want to be fitted. The only issue we had was he ordered the wrong ties for the dads on one of the kids shoes broke, but because we picked everything up 2 days prior to the wedding he was able to fix it and in fact had everything the very next morning! I would highly recommend Scott, especially if you use the Old Mill in as you can simply leave your tuxes at the front desk the next day. read more

My fiancé and I walked in by accident, and boy were we impressed! The owner, Scott, was welcoming and knowledgeable, and when he found we had possibly gone to his shop by mistake, he offered to give us directions to the other shop. Since the prices were comparable to similar shops, we stayed. Scott was savvy enough to ask right off the bat what color my wedding dress was so that the groom's shirt matched. Who would have thought that a white shirt would have made my off-white dress look dirty!? Apparently that would show in the pictures. He steered us in the right direction and the overall picture of the wedding party became clearer and clearer as he walked us through each piece. Scott is a class act. The worst service / experience I ever had. Picked up the tux two days prior to the wedding and the sizes were way off. He told me it's too late to get a new one. Great so I had to purchase the tux because I wasn't so sure about the turn around times for the other tux places if they can have one for me within two days. Luckily enough I did find one. Terrible experience. Ive always used a Tuxedo shop in Madison, NJ and have had no problems. Decided to go with Tuxton as Scott provided a better price for rentals for my wedding. I've since learned that you get what you pay for. Scott seemed like a genuinely nice guy with tons experience. I told him about my previous experience and loyalty with the other rental company and he assured me that he would provide excellent service, or I wouldn't pay for my tuxedo rental. I was happy. My groomsman, fathers, and I got fitted by Scott. My dad had an inkling that something was not right and got fitted a second time. I chose tuxedos for the groomsman and suits for the fathers since Scott told me the suits were regular fit and the tuxedos were a slim fit. I got married in Long Beach Island, NJ and the tuxedos came in on Thursday mid-day. My wedding party left early Friday morning to attend the rehearsal 2 hours south of Tuxton. My Dad's jacket (which coincidentally was NOT classic fit and was slim fit did not fit in the least, neither did his pants). Scott was abrupt, rude, and childish on the phone and told me that he hates to be the bearer of bad news, but no wedding day is perfect. Scott offered to get new pants by Friday evening (even though everyone would already be away) but could not get a new jacket in time. My pants did not fit either, but he was able to get new pants. Scott put the blame on everyone else except for him. Being a business owner myself, I live by the motto, "The customer is always right". Whether it is my fault, my vendor, or the manufacturer, I take blame and fix the problem. Not Scott. My dad was not able to button his jacket for the entire wedding. When I asked Scott about getting a refund, or partial refund, he laughed at me and told me it wasn't how it worked. I will NEVER used Tuxton again. Be very cautious about his reassurance about "10+ years in the business". His customer service, and over-all people skills are extremely childish. read more

I wanted an Ike Behar tux, but I wanted to own it. I called over 4 dozen establishments between three states, and none of them could help me find the tux I wanted in the size I wanted in a rational timeframe. Tuxton got me my tux for an insanely low price (figure out the average Ike Behar tux cost if you can, and then cut it in HALF) and they got it for me in a month. The event for which I needed it wound up being cancelled so I didn't need any tailoring or alterations, but when I do, I'll be heading right back there. Owner Scott is friendly, polite, and eager to help, but on the pick up day he tried to charge me for 6 people when the deal was rent 5 get 1 free, I "reminded" him then he charged me $195 per person(he and I had a deal $190 per person). I mean $25 extra is really no big deal but I purposely asked him if it was $190 per person and he just flat out lied to my face saying yes. He also got one of my groomsman's tie color wrong, I was lucky he dug around his shop and was able to find one of the same color. After returning the tux he said I'll get my $50 deposit back on my card, it's been 2 months and I still got nothing. I don't expect to get anything at this point. Not terrible service but after the addition $75 I paid I didn't need to go all the way to Morris town since I didn't really save money. read more

Fabulous! My now husband and my son rented from their tuxes here. The owner is on site and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He also has a great eye for what looks good. My husband owns his own personal training company and is a hard fit for any clothes let alone a suit. The owner made sure to carefully measure and ended up sending us two suits "just in case." Do NOT use Tuxton. The guy who runs it, Scott, is possibly the worst at running a business as is possible. First of all his, his rentals are expensive and the rentals aren't even his. He shows you a magazine and you have to order out of the magazine. I ordered grey tuxedos and brown shoes for all of my groomsmen, along with pocket squares and ties. Two weeks before the wedding date, he tells me he can't get me the pocket squares and ties I wanted, so I had to get a backup plan. Then, two days (TWO DAYS!!!) before my wedding, when my groomsmen were picking up their rentals, he hands them black shoes. When they told him I ordered brown shoes he gave them an "oh s**t" look and started to panic in front of them. Scott called me frantically and I had to drive out there that night (40 minutes from my house) in order to try to see what he could salvage. Turns out he couldn't salvage anything. His back up plan for shoes were terrible and didn't go at all with the tuxedos. How do you forget a rental order? It is your only job! And then I have to find out only two days from the wedding? I had to leave Tuxton and go to Macy's, spending over $250 for shoes to match. Scott's solution for the debacle was a paltry $20 bucks off only my tux. It was an insulting and infuriating offer. Do not use Tuxton unless you would like to be endlessly frustrated and severely disappointed. It is an amateur operation run by an incompetent owner. You've been warned.... read more

We were over a year out from our date but Scott took our information and some notes and said he would follow up with us about 8 months out. Sure enough, a man of his word. Fraud. You don't get the quality Tux that you order. Can't pick up until one day prior to event. Scott forgot a shirt and said that I didn't order it. It was on the receipt. Totally unorganized. I have been trying to get my deposit back for 2 months. Disputing the charge with my credit card because I can't talk to that idiot again. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR YOUR WEDDING!!! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!! Scott is charming on the first visit and then after that is a complete low life who doesn't care as long as he gets paid. This place is absolutely horrible and the owner, Scott is a complete piece of trash who doesn't know how to handle a business. I got my tuxedos for myself, my father, my father in law and my groomsmen and they were terrible. All of the shirts were different color whites and ivory (as if they were never cleaned). Some of the shirts had stains that looked like coffee marks. The length of my sleeves were about 2 ft past the end of my hands. One of my groomsmen's jackets, the sleeves were too short (half way up his forearm). One of my other groomsmen had to get a completely different tux because the "measurements" that Scott took prior were incorrect and my guy had to pay for an additional tux and the overnight charge. Scott's excuse was "I shouldn't have to cover that cost, its not fair to me". How about fair to your customer? You were the one that took the wrong measurements! When my wife and I went back after the wedding to talk to him about how bad our service was and to see if we could get reimbursement for my groomsmen who had to pay for 2 tux and overnight shipping, he simply told us it was not his problem anymore. Beyond horrible. My daughter had her wedding last year and rented 10 tuxedos from Scott. The grooms jacket did not fit properly so we rushed the day of the wedding to get the right size. My tuxedo was all wrong, I ended up going to the mall the day of to look for a different shirt. The flower boys shoes basically fell apart after the ceremony, the soles of both shoes came off. 2 of the other groomsmen a hems came out on the jackets. Scott is nice prior to signing an agreement but once he has your business he just puts you aside and fights every step of the way. This is not something you want to deal with especially on a wedding day. read more
