Wasn't sure if the power supply or main board was the problem for my TV. So bought the power supply board first cause it made sense since the TV wasn't turning on. After talking to one of the techs there it turned out to be the main board even after no standby voltage. So bought the board, installed it and it works like a charm now. Plus they were gracious enough to give me a refund after RMA'ing the power board! Will use them again! My old 52" Samsung LCD's got lines on the screen. read more

These guys are incredible. They were the only store that I could find that had parts for a television set I am trying to repair. They stayed on the phone with me for an hour. They helped me with TV diagnostics, and helped find out that I needed to find a rare part for the television that unfortunately they did not have in stock. Have a still dysfunctional 50" flat screen. Not sure it is TV Parts Guy's fault. Ordered a hard to find power supply because TV Parts Guy was the only source I could find that claimed to have one on hand for a very reasonable price. Shipped very quickly and arrived in a few days, US mail. The shipping box (USPS) was punctured and torn through three sides, taped, and had a sticker applied stating, "received in damaged condition". I photographed the box before opening it, hoping the board inside avoided the damage. The board was wrapped in three US Post Office padded mailer bags. When I actually saw the board, I could not see any specific damage except for the slight curvature the circuit board appeared to have acquired. Ever the optimist, I tried it anyway. I had a rude female that mocked and laughed at me, trying to minimize the fact that I was upset for not recieving the product i ordered over THREE WEEKS AGO. which i paid for OVER THREE WEEKS AGO and it was never shipped out. This person made me feel as though, even when saying she was finally mailing out my product that she would be the type to not mail it out just because of the childish nature she conducted herself on the phone. I completed an online purchase and I would recommend the site tvpartsguy.com A google search initially drove me to the site. I was looking to replace a faulty main board in my Samsung TV. The board was hard to find, because the TV was manufactured in 2008. Thankfully, tvpartsguy.com had 1 item in stock. Three high quality pictures of the item helped me visually verify the in stock part was exactly like the faulty main board I was replacing. The item's description also had details that verified the part was for my TV's model #. I was pleased that the site had a secure checkout feature. And I liked that the site clearly stated the return policy below the item. I paused when I read returns (for the general public) get store credit only. What finally made me purchase from tvpartsguy.com was one of the item's pictures had a sticker indicating the part had been tested. Additionally, the site was offering a 10% off discount, which took care of the shipping. I chose the slower of the two shipping options, which shipped on the following business day via USPS Priority and arrived in 3 business days. My shipping confirmation emailed from tvpartsguy included a tracking number, but did not specify what shipping company was used. This was frustrating, but customer service quickly replied to my e-mail stating it was shipped USPS. When tracking the package, I found it odd that the package showed up as insured for only half its value. Regardless, the item was packed well, in bubble wrap, surrounded by shipping peanuts. I wasn't sure whether the pink bubble wrap was anti-static material, which is preferable for electrostatic-sensitive devices, but the white packing peanuts did not appear to be. In the end, I received the part I needed quickly and it worked perfectly once installed. read more

I bought a TV main board from them. The board is bad. They refuse to refund. The business is a scam.

I ordered a part in April. It did not work, and they told me to send it back. They did not mention that there was a 30% restocking fee. Are you kidding me for a used part that that they probably got for free. Well in July they said they sent me a check they did not. finally I said I should not have to pay a restocking fee since I have waited 3 months for my refund. They said let me talk to my boss, and no response but I did get the check in the mail. Yes it was with the restocking fee attached. With shipping, and the part, and return shipping the $55 dollar part I got back $9.00 refund. I would not do business with them. I should have went with my first plan and dispute it with paypal and got my 100% refund. read more

Not only was the board DOA, but examination of it right out of the packaging, and prior to trying it in circuit, revealed corrosion. Upon closer examination under magnification, not only are the mounting pad contact areas and the contacts from main ZIF socket to board badly corroded, some are actually broken through. Electrically testing the board, the 12v 1A fuse is blown. i have included pictures with both the board sent to me (on the left) alongside the original (on the right) This is the second bad component board received from TVPartsGuy for different sets. No calls or Emails returned, and even a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in Walnut, CA went unanswered. I have since repaired the original TCon board, myself. read more

My tv remote got water in it and I thought it had died. I ordered the new remote and it took over a week to receive. The day I received the new one, my old one worked well again. Unfortunately, I can only return it for store credit and I do not need anything from this store. Now I have a new remote I spent $35 on to throw in a drawer. Buyer beware - bought a TV stand from this outfit and it showed up in terrible condition. It was so badly scracted up and worn, that we could not use it (it looked horrible). Upon asking about a return was pretty much told that "It say's it on our site that the stands are used and may have wear and tear", then offered a ridiculous re-stocking fee. Very disappointed with the customer service. Will definitely not purchase from TV PARTS GUY again. Before ordering a motherboard from this vendor I made sure to read the "Terms and Conditions" which clearly stated refunds will be issued but a 20% restocking fee will be applied, which is totally ok and reasonable. Well after receiving a wrong part in the mail I attempted to contact the seller via email multiple times and did not receive a response for over a week, only until I had American Express involved the seller emailed back. Coincidence? Maybe. Eventually the seller emailed back the second time and stated that "We do not issue refunds anymore, only exchanges", I thought since I bought my items before the "Terms and Conditions" changed, the seller would work with me, but again they refused to respond to emails. Took newer 50" TV in for repair, but did not come prepared to pay their $100 required deposit which I was unaware of. I said OK, but let me run home and come right back with the money, he said if I left then I would have to take my TV with me. I said I would be back in 20mins and he said it didn't matter. So I said if you make me put the TV back in my car I will take it somewhere else, and he said fine. Not a good way to treat people, very unsatisfied and bordering on rude. read more

Ordered a power supply board for tv. Arrived not working, fuse was already blown. Was issued an RMA and returned the item. Didn't hear from them for 2 weeks after tracking showed they received it and only because I called them. Sent emails inquiring about refund, no replies. Called after 2 weeks of no call or response to email and they said part arrived completely smashed and they would send pics so I can get refunded via postal service. Nothing was sent. Called again next day and was told they are at lunch and will call back. No one called. They had also said they called to tell me about package condition initially but that was not true. My phone service records all numbers and no call was received from them, nor were any messages left. Called back 2 days after pics supposed to be sent and was told they are sending now. Call was disconnected, they called back...number showed up on call log right away. Pictures were finally sent, but did not include the side with address for proof it's the box I sent so I can make a claim with post office. Had to email them back to get that one, but they did send it then. It's also now more than half a month after they received package damaged. Don't know about the positive reviews here because my experience and others I read here were very different. When a package is received so damaged and board was broken the customer should be notified right away to submit insurance claim with post office in a timely manner, not more than half a month later! Plus board was supposed to arrive in working condition. I'm not getting refunded for rush postage spent to receive a defective board. Placed an order on 6/12/17, expecting 48-72 hour fulfillment/shipping as advertised on their website. Received paid in full order confirmation. Didn't hear anything, so after a full week, I followed the website instructions and sent an email request for tracking information. No response again. Today on 6/22/17, a total of ten days from the order, I called. After a LONG wait, I was told they did not have the part ordered ( it showed IN STOCK) and they claimed to have left a phone message earlier. No message was ever received. I ordered and received a Vizio LED driver from TVPartsGuy.com. The LED driver board was dead on arrival. The part was listed as used, and physically labelled as tested by TVPartsGuy. This leads me to believe it stopped working between the time it was tested and when I received it, or the original test was faulty. Regardless since I am not a certified TV repair technician, I am stuck with a dead board or a useless store credit. Fortunately I was able to get a working board from another supplier. Next time I will order new parts only. read more

They delivered the wrong tv stand For my Westinghouse SK-32H570D and when I requested a refund I was told to return the Stand for Testing and if they found it was customer fault I would be charged 30% restocking fee plus the $20 shipping that I would have to pay for to return it, Even after I showed them proof beforehand that the tv stand they gave me cannot fit on the tv because the holes and pins don't line up, it seems to me that this company only cares about making a profit and scamming their customers. In the end there is no wining with this company even if i returned it and was found to be the wrong part the cost of the shipping alone would be more then half the cost of stand. it costs $37..... the shipping is $20 to return, Ridiculous. read more
