Anthony arrived with another gentleman, Dom, on time and they patiently listened while I explained what was going on and what I tried. Anthony told me they'd first try to snake the drain and if that didn't work, there was another procedure with a water jet. I appreciated him being upfront about the fact that the first thing they would try may not work in order to set expectations. Decided to go with the snaking and Anthony let me know the price and proceeded to do the work. They were very thorough, spending about an hour working on it and testing it. By the end of the snaking, everything was working without an issue! Throughout the work, Anthony and Dom were extremely pleasant. They took extra care to ask if it was okay to move things onto the counter or if I wanted any extra protection on the floor. The great work, attention to detail, and general pleasantness mean I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing anytime I need a plumber.

At first it looked like coffee grounds and now it's all black. Our building was insisting we pay to get it fixed because it's a problem in our apartment. I explained the issue to Jerry at CID and that we never put coffee grounds or anything like that down the drain, who was able to tell me over the phone that he was completely certain the issue was not coming from our apartment since we have fully stopped using the sink and dishwasher since this started and it continues to fill with more liquid. There's more I could explain but that's the basics. Anyway Jerry was so nice, offered to get someone there by 8pm (I had called at 4pm so that was amazing) and it would be a flat fee to snake the drain and was very up front about what it would be which was very transparent. He suggested I talk to building management as this was not an issue of something we did wrong that normally it's something they would pay for. I did and they are sending someone out to inspect all the apartments in our line tomorrow. I don't think they will let us use CID if they are going to pay for it (which we sincerely hope they will) but despite that Jerry was incredibly nice and even gave me specific tips to tell the building management to make sure their plumber did the best job possible. Thank you Jerry for probably saving us a lot of money! Please go give these guys business, if we could we would!

All these they were ultra professional reviews are just padding and completely unrealistic. Look at the people who gave them one and 2 star reviews and you'll see those are real people My 2nd service call. The 1st time I called they want $450 to make sure they get paid for showing up. The guy told me that it was a one-time thing and once I was registered with them they would drop the $450 part and it would be $165 for the simple diagnostic and then hourly parts and labor from there. That was all very well and good in the 1st call cost a little over $500 and only gave me was a replacement of my boiler suggestion. I just called them back 3 months later to work on the same boiler and they want to same 500 bucks before they do anything beyond guesstimate the problem. They know who we are, that we own our building so this $500 because we're not sure we can trust you that they collect before they do any work is just nonsense. Find somebody else who sticks to their agreements. I hired a plumber from Chinatown who just did a great job and applied the show up money to the total $700 bill for replacing my aqua stat and my low-water sensor and cleaning the boiler they were here for 3 hours. .
