I have been to Tweety's several times in my time. This time I took my 13yr old granddaughter and 8 yr old daughter. Together their nails were over 200.00! This was not what I was quoted before they started! As I was trying to figure out the cost and speaking to an employee that was doing a customers nails sitting beside 3 other employees that were also running the electric fingernail files and using some terrible smelling nail products. Mind you now they all also had masks on. I was probably 2 ft away and all this lady could do was hack and cough and ramble on about the cigarette smoke she smelled and how she was allergic to it! So needless to say I never could get quote on either of the girls nails. Until they were completed! Y'all ruined my 8yr olds first nail experience! Girls go get nails done to sit and chat with each other, they wouldn't set them together for it and they could have. Seeing it had been almost 2 years since I had a visit with my granddaughter her and my daughter had catching up to do. Long story short the foster parents that have custody frequently visit Tweety's I was un aware until it was all said and done. For a business to have paying customers! Not only did they ruin it for my daughter they were down right rude as hell! I will never ever go back to Tweety's! That company needs to take that business back where they came from! And TWEETYS just an FYI you were only told her side of the story! . To top it off they took pictures of the girls nails and told them they would post them to be looking, so they posted my granddaughters but not my daughter's, for her to ask and see hers was not posted! It would probably be best to treat people with some damn respect when they visit your business and spend there hard earned money! I've been coming here monthly for pedi, almost a year now. I'm always a walk in, and I've rarely had to wait more than a few minutes to get a chair. And the service has always been awesome (thank you Lucky/Phong ). I will admit, being an old dude, I don't have the prettiest feet, but I try and tip half the fee due to this issue. Also the reason I come once a month. Don't want things to get too nasty. Today, sucked. Lucky wasn't working, and I was introduced to the attendant, she was described as funny/real fun. No - she kept complaining that I couldn't keep my feet flat enough to see my toes (this has never been addressed before). Then the attendant in the adjacent chair pitched in and said I need to be more cooperative. I'm like what? I'm not a mind reader, if you need something just ask. I tipped my usual and smiled. I went yesterday to have my whole face waxed. Jennifer did this. Obviously waxing can be painful. I understand that, however while she was waxing she asked if I used Retinol, I said No, why? she said, well your skins a little thin down here (by my chin) and I usually see that in clients that take Retinol. I said no, I don't. she said well it looks like I may have pulled the first layer of skin off. She then lathered my face in Vaseline and said it will be a little red but keep Vaseline on it and it will be fine. Today, not 12 hours later, I look like I had a conversation with the concrete. That entire area is raw and going to scab. I am going to meet my grandson this weekend for the first time, can't wait to scare him with my face. So in closing, Jennifer says she better at waxing than math after charging me 56$, I left without my skin or my money..... sucks. read more

I have been going to tweety's nails since 2008, which is when it opened. went in to have my nails soaked off which use to be $10.00, they are so hungry for money, it's $40.00 to have them removed, cause it's a package and you have to have a manicure. The gayest thing I have ever heard. If I'd know that, I would have just popped them off myself. I will not ever go back! oh and they didn't even paint my nails with the manicure. t had gone here for years but never made an appointment. I was called to confirm the day before and was told I had to be there 15 min early. I had a meeting until 1:05 by the PO but still hoped to make my 1:30 appt by 1:15. Russ Ave caused me to be 10 min late but still 5 min early for my scheduled appt. I'm guessing a manager, started yelling in front of all, that she told me yesterday I needed to be there 15 min early and because I was late, they filled the chair and I would have to wait. 40 min later I am still sitting there. I went to the girl that I made the appt with and asked if it would be much longer. She said yes and that she was sorry. No one through the 40 min said to me that this was going to be awhile and did I want someone else to take care of me. I walked up to another tech who was not busy and asked if he could give me a manicure and he did. I felt "punished" for being 10 min late. I won't be back. Jenny is the absolute best nail tech I've found since relocating from Orlando to WNC last ! I've been getting my nails done for nearly 20 years. I've received more compliments on my nails the last year than the previous 19! They last 3-4 weeks (minimum) and still look absolutely stunning. I just moved to Waynesville from California and I always use yelp to help me find new places. I wasn't sure about this place because of the bad reviews but I went anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised. Not only was I greeted by one of the staff (Ginny) I was taken back within 20 minutes which is great for a walk in. I met a few ladies who have been coming here for many years and they reassured me this was the place to go. I had a pedicure and full set so I was there for quite a while. I didn't notice any more fumes than I would have in any other nail salon. Everyone was very friendly, and did a great job. I was in town visiting some family and got my nails done with my cousin. We both got acrylic nails, I forgot specifically what she got other than short acrylics with blue polish that looked good. I got longer acrylics with gel polish that was sparkly. If you want longer acrylics or a different color base like pink acrylic it's going to be an extra $5 on top of the $45 charge for a gel full set. I was scared for a second that they were going to be boxy instead of coffin but she just shaped them at a different step which didn't affect the end result. The nail lady was a tiny bit rough but I could have just been a bit sensitive and I was fine in the end. It's been about two weeks now and they're still going strong. The pictures show good work! I've never been to a nail salon where there are more than 5 employees working until I went to Tweety's. This place is huge, and they can accommodate a large number of people at one time. I went in for a pedicure with my best friend. There were enough pedicure chairs that we got to sit next to each other. The lady that gave me my pedicure was super friendly. She talked to us a lot. The nail polish selection was plentiful. The salon was very nice inside. My friend and I got a design on our big toes. Tweety came to do those for us. She was also very friendly. My sisters nails was done before mine and we told them we had to pick up kids at 5 we walked in at 3 so I had to pay with half way done nails and come back. It don't take 3 hours to do nails exactly the ones I had I spent 150$ there and they poped off within a week and a half. The woman who did my nails outright rude ripped my cuticles stepping on my feet and hurting my nails. Never said a word to me and when I was telling her about the color of my nails she back talked me. My sister said something to the owner before we left and she did not listen because when we came back to finish she was still there waiting to finish my nails. This was the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. I was told I had to arrive 10 to 15 min before my appointment of 6:30. I arrived at 6:16 and was told I was late (in front of the whole salon) and she was doing me a "favor" and wouldn't treat me as a walk in because my tech was running late and they would see me at 7pm (I walked out). I should have known better, last time I used them the lady in the front (Jenny) did nothing but talk negative about her clients and bad mouth all the other salons in the area. This is the second time I have tried this establishment, the first time was horrible that's why I have not gone back but today I figured I would give it another shot, I wished I did not, I will not knit pick everything ( and there was quite a bit) but what I will say is that when I go to get a pedicure and manicure never have I not had my cuticles taking off and the polish correctly put on, well here she did not, to be honest I could have done the same if not better myself, very disappointed the massage with the pedicure was okay at best, and when she was filing my toenails she kept going off the nail so she was filing my skin which did NOT feel good ( so maybe it is better she didn't cut my cuticles) all she did is push them with that metal instrument and roughly at that! also with the manicure I'm not sure if she forgot to do to the massage but she did it after she put the polish on?! And it was the worst massage I have ever gotten with a manicure, I really do hate to write bad stuff that's why this isn't longer because believe me I could have... Maybe she is new? The absolute worst customer service. We scheduled an appointment, they made us get here 30 minutes early (for an appointment!) and had us still waiting to be served an hour and a half later. They seem to feel like it's ok to make customers wait for them. We will never be back and suggest you do the same. Also, when my mom was expressing her frustration about having a reservation and waiting an hour and a half, the owner said that she hoped she came back in a better mood. After just one week of having a full set of nails applied, they began to lift. I stopped in to show the tech and she said that was normal. I have had my nails done for several years at my salon in Charlotte, and they have always lasted a minimum of two weeks. The only solution they offered me, was to pay $25 for a fill, after paying $65 plus a $15 tip, just one week ago. If my nails had been primed properly, they would not have been lifting after 7 days. My friend had a gel polish done the same day and had to go back as well, as they were chipping after just a few days. Tweety's used to be best, but they have definitely declined. I am sad to say I did not have a very good experience. It seems like they have a lot of regulars so they must do a good job sometimes, but, to be honest, I feel like I wasn't treated as well because I'm not a regular. No one was at the counter and I had never been there so I accidentally checked the wrong box for what I wanted, which wasn't really a problem, but they acted like it was. I also had to wait for over an hour to have anyone see me (which I understand happens when a place is busy), but then people who were on the list after me got helped first. Then when I got my nails done the guy seemed to try to be really detail-oriented, but he cut the entire back of my thumb with the buffer when he slipped. I understand that accidents happen, but he tried to say that happens because people won't relax when they get their nails done. Basically, he flat out blamed me. He also didn't let me go wash my hands until he was done, which is not a good idea when you've just cut someone and could cause them infection. I was a good sport about it and told him that that happens sometimes, but then he also bumped one of my nails with the buffer and I tried to ask about it, and he acted mad at me and starting being sort of rude. I went in to get some pretty nails because I thought it would make me feel good for my engagement pictures. I left feeling worse than I did when I got there. He also did not offer to discount anything, which when you cut the entire back of someone's finger you probably should. I won't be back. I decided to take my business elsewhere when they started to pressure me to try more expensive services because "it's better for my nails" or "it looks more natural" or "the polish will last longer". I received a gift certificate for $35 as a gift. Realized it was 1 day expired when I went in for my appointment and they wouldn't honor it. I understand if I had been a week beyond the expiration date but it was 1 day beyond. I've bought many gift certificates as gifts there but won't any more. So, I am never the type to complain. I am very easy going but this kind of service is where I draw the line. I ask for a fill-in and change of color which is 20$ at my salon (KT Nails & they are fabulous) but I didn't have the time to drive to Asheville and I had heard a few good things about tweety's.. well I was sorely mistaken. I had requested Jenny but they gave me someone because she was busy and that's fine but this guy was rough!!! He cut my cuticles all the way to the quick, so bad that two of my fingers bled, it would have been okay but he didn't even apologize. The paint job was decent but you can see some of my clear nail at the top. And they charged me 40$ for C quality fill in which is extremely over priced when I get A+ quality FULLSET at my normal salon. I guess it's my fault for not sticking to what I know but I will never be back at this establishment if that is the service they are providing all the time. read more

This has been my regular nail salon for over two years, and for good reason. They consistently do a fantastic job on my nails no matter what I get done. Jenny is a sweetheart and greets me by name every time I walk in the door, as she does with all of the regulars. However the last time I visited, in January 2017, one of the nail techs who is normally very friendly was talking aloud about sex and was being extremely graphic and inappropriate. She was across the room and seemed to think her trash talk was funny and was trying to entertain the entire room. The male tech who was working on my manicure was clearly embarrassed, and another tech came by and apologized and tried to make light of it but they clearly knew how disgusting she was being. I am no prude and enjoy humor but she needed to know her audience. I almost left in the middle of the manicure but toughed it out and stayed until it was over, and just swore that I wouldn't return. I had an appointment, but people who they knew kept coming in & were taken ahead of me. "Oh, that's their regular tech, you have to wait for the next available.: Then I wad called over and asked what I needed done. A woman looked at my nails and said "They're acrylic..you can't fill those in. We have to take them off."
