After leaving me in the room for a while, he came back and completed the injections. When I checked out, I confirmed that I had only received treatment for one area, not two. A little over a month later, I called to schedule my next appointment to use the remaining 50 units. The receptionist pulled up my account and told me all 100 units had already been used. I explained there had to be a mistake, and she said she would check with the doctor. She later informed me that he claimed to have used the full 100 units at that first visit. I was shocked. I asked for documentation showing where and how many units were injected, and was told they do not record that information. I have never encountered a provider who doesn't keep detailed records for this type of service. It was very troubling to learn that the doctor did not follow what we agreed upon. I honestly do not believe he used all 100 units, but even if he did, it was unethical because I explicitly requested only 50 and specified the area of treatment. If he chose to make changes, he did not inform me or obtain my consent. Based on my experience, I believe this doctor is unethical. I strongly recommend choosing a reputable provider who honors both their Groupon offers and the agreements made during consultation.

I paid around $10,000 for tattoo removal and was under the impression I had a full treatment plan (10 rounds across 3 areas). I have only completed 8 rounds, so I KNOW I still have sessions left. Out of nowhere, I was told I had no remaining sessions. This isn't even the first time this has happened--previously, they told me the same thing, then later admitted it was a mistake and that I did in fact have sessions left. This time, they said they needed to "review my account" and would get back to me... and they never did. Now I'm stuck with a partially faded tattoo that isn't fully removed, after investing a significant amount of money and time. The lack of organization, accountability, and follow-through is honestly unacceptable for a company at this price point. If you're considering LaserAway, I would strongly recommend keeping detailed records of every session and communication, because clearly their internal tracking system is unreliable. My only issue was that I wasn't told until right before my surgery that I may not be able to breast feed after this- I don't know how I feel about that, I probably still would've gone through with the surgery, but I should have have been informed ahead of time, not right before I went in for surgery. Despite this, my concerns were brushed aside. I was told there was "nothing to do" to prevent keloids before or after surgery. That statement was both misleading and harmful, because there are well-known medical approaches to reduce keloid risk. Before surgery, options such as steroid (corticosteroid) injections into the scar site, pre-operative pressure dressings, radiation therapy, or even planning incisions differently could have been considered. After surgery, established treatments like silicone gel/sheets, steroid injections, cryotherapy, or pressure therapy are often used to manage or minimize keloid formation. None of these were discussed with me. As a result, I now have large, painful keloids at the surgical site. They are disfiguring, physically uncomfortable, and psychologically distressing. Even when I followed up with photos of the problem, I received no constructive guidance or suggestions for managing the complication. This has left me not only with a poor cosmetic outcome but also with ongoing pain and the need to pursue corrective treatment elsewhere. I believe that informed consent requires discussing known risks and available preventative/management strategies--especially when a patient has a clear medical history like mine. I am sharing this so that others with a history of keloids know to choose a surgeon who takes keloid risk seriously, discusses prevention openly, and provides ongoing post-op support. If you have a keloid history, please advocate for yourself and ensure your surgeon offers a plan beyond "nothing can be done."

I expressed my history with dysport, saying I really liked what was done before, I couldn't remember how many units we used the last time so we (myself and the NP) even called my old dermatologist to see, it was 21 units of dysport. After almost an hour of consultation, explicitly expressing to Michal how I wanted to do as minimal as possible and not have the "freeze" effect, she continued to tell me that she does not recommend dysport, strongly encourages people to not use dysport and to use Botox instead due to it being more "localized" so it won't spread out through your face (which sounds reasonable so I trusted her to switch to botox). Then, she tells me I need a minimum of 24 units. I said, "wait, don't they compare 3 units of dysport to 1 unit of Botox?" (Botox is stronger or something), and she assured me that, no, this will achieve the very subtle effect that I am looking for "trust me". I did not feel right about it, considering we literally heard my old dermatologist say 21 units of dysport, and now this lady is pushing me to get 24 of a stronger substance, but I said "okay, I'm trusting you, just know I do NOT want frozen facial expressions, this is very important to me". Well guess what happened..... can't move my eyebrows for 3 months. I was so upset and felt stupid because I knew she was trying to push a certain amount and despite my rebuttals, I went with her suggestion, against my gut. Never again, please anyone reading, don't let people push you into altering your face more than you are comfortable with. I really hope this lady will consider my words and treat the next customer with a little more understanding and prioritize THEIR wishes over monetary gains.
