When you hit a certain spend value, ypu get freebies which in this case was a gundam seed keychain and a tamashii nation mini name card stating 2nd anniversary. We got exclusive items since as collector and buyers know, not everything can be bought online. Some items are exclusive on stores only so this was a win for us.

This shop recently opened and still have their grand opening. The lady at the register was nice enough to chitchat and explained some of her wares. It was cool that she offers many Japanese trading cards (original) but we were looking for the English edition cards (they had none). There was a section not for sale but for looks with signs stating to speak to the owners regarding sales of that side. Odd. There were many cute plushies, stickers, figurines, wall posters and other merchandises. Took my time looking at each part of the shop. The wall posters were all the way in the back. The shop is a long narrow space with lots of lighting. Very cool spots for my fellow anime lovers.

Cardinal Industries makes the jumbling tower game. Which is basically Jenga with a different name. I call it "Jenga unchained." I like the game a lot. I only recently realized that when you take a piece out, you're supposed to put it on the top of the pile. Damn no wonder it was taking us so long to play. It's cheaper than the brand name Jenga and it works just as well. It's fun. It's simplistic. It doesn't have complicated rules. You can make out in between doing it. So what is not to love. Don't let your baby put any of the wooden pieces in their mouths. If you don't have a baby, then don't let anyone else's baby put any of the wooden pieces in their mouths.

Upon opening it up and assembling it I was not impressed with the size and the shape of the pieces. Size...just look at one of the images I posted. The box indicates a much larger size than what is actually cut. Shape...the pieces are not cut clean nor do they fit together securely. Just based off this box I purchased I would not recommend or purchase another.

Blah, blah blah I could reiterate what everyone else has said. Good and bad. But it's necessary that we preserve as many places that still cater to specialty interests and hobbies. It's more museum with the option to sell moreover than a hobby shop at this point. The two times I've been in there the individual running the shop was speaking with customers and was very knowledgeable. Yet a bit brusque. Be respectful. And understanding. However... I, on my latest visit was prepared to make a purchase. You see I was home because work was slow. I was perusing Amazon etc looking for a project to keep me occupied while I have some downtime. By the way it's January and just got really, really cold. I want to support as many brick and mortar businesses as possible. So I button up and make the trip downtown. So I get there and peruse the inventory. After a while I find something that will keep me busy for a few weeks. Here's the rub. I get to the counter and the owner( I assume) starts looking up the price. It's got a price on the side of the box but he claims it's the wrong price. I stand there patiently whilst he looks it up on his iPad. And wait. Now he's tagging on 20 bucks to the existing price on the box. The prices on most of these items are pretty high I noticed. All good. But don't try to squeeze me at the register and tell me someone put the wrong price on the box. If you'd have honored the price right or wrong I'd be sitting here working on the model. Instead I'm writing this review.

They don't have them posted online. Google get the hours from users who report mistakes or add missing info. I come here often on my lunch breaks because it's very close to my job and they still watch over me crazy as if they don't see me here almost every week. They price some beads individually which can get really expensive, you can def find better deals elsewhere in the fashion district, since it's so close.
