Fortunately for her it was right across the street. I got the call at work and headed over. First of all it is a very clean building. There is a plethora of signage due to Covid and it all clearly spells out what you can and can't do. I entered the building and was approached by an employee. She asked me who I was here to see. I told her and she gave me a sticker for my shirt, a colored wristband and a paper mask. They told me where to go and I found my wife talking with a nurse in her room. I think I was there for a couple hours. Everyone was friendly and polite. The tests that were ordered didn't take very long and the physician's assistant was very patient answering my wife's questions. All in all it was a pleasant experience.

But MMG will do a drug test on you damn near every time you go see them. They are rude. They don't work WITH you. They work AT you! They will judge you if you do not take a drug test because you don't feel you need a drug test because you came in there for an acute issue. At my physical exam, yes I'll take a drug test and do a urinalysis. I've never had a doctor do a drug test unless you're going there for a job. But to come in because I have a rash, I'm not giving you a drug test. If you don't take a drug test, they document that you will be removed from the group because you were non-compliant. I have never known a doctor to refuse you care because you won't take a drug test. I've been an occupational therapist since 1996 and I've never heard of this in my life. I'm in the medical field and this is absolute BS. They body shame you if you are overweight. If you have had an injury or have serious chronic pain they do not want to prescribe you anything not the least amount of pain medication even though you're on a blood thinner and cannot take ibuprofen or Tylenol. If you want a good doctor that cares about you and does not judge you, body shame, & treats everyone as if they are drug addicts like MMG, did then go to somewhere like Tryon Medical Partners.
