The only reason I'm leaving this detailed review is because I CARE ABOUT THE SURVIVAL OF OUR LOCAL BUSINESSES. Chances are it's falling on deaf ears because you have not responded to a single review, whether positive or negative. That's not a good sign. With the exception of your most recent review from May, your track record speaks for itself. My experience wasn't so great, and here's why: First I tried to place an online order for a $65 flower arrangement. When I got to the checkout page there was a surprise $9.99 "website fee". Nobody likes surprise charges. When I called, the girl who answered said it was something your website service enforces and will not change. Note, she didn't offer to take my order over the phone. I was was the one who thought of that and called back to place my order. The only reason I'm giving you 2 stars instead of 1 is because you acknowledged the situation and gave me a somewhat reasonable credit. However, whoever I spoke with was defensive and ready with excuses. So the clincher was that the arrangement I received looked nothing like the arrangement I ordered. Your arrangements must (at least) come close to the visual description on your website. And if you don't have those flowers pictured available, the customer must be notified. Your florists need to pay close attention to this, or you're going to go down and out of business. Guaranteed. Engage with your reviewers. The flowers are clearly dying and not fresh. The vase is way too large in proportion to the flowers. The flowers look far better in these photos than they do in person. I assume that goes for all the arrangements on their site. After paying $60 for an arrangement, another $10 to support local florists, and a $5 delivery tip, my money would have been far better spent on a grocery store bouquet and some candies. But the hostility and belligerence over the phone was something else. The florist responsible angrily hung up on us (after shouting and ranting at us for several minutes, lying about easily verifiable details for reasons that are beyond me). When I called to complain I was told that it was too late to do anything about it. It was two weeks later, but I had to drag it out of my sister that it was really substandard. If I could rate a negative star I would. Waste of money! I received a sympathy floral arrangement from my friend as my cousin passed away. The flowers arrived on Tuesday and Thursday they were dead. I called the florist and the person who answered said he would talk the owner. Never received a call. Call back on Monday and spoke to another person who said she would talk to the owner. No one called me back, instead they credited 1/2 of the floral arrangement to my friend. This is such bad customer service. I will never purchase anything from them. My son in Virginia had a small bouquet sent for my birthday. Initially I thought it was so nice to have a photo of the bouquet sent by the driver to let me know it was on the doorstep. The problem was the flowers were NOT fresh. There was brown along the edges of some of the yellow roses, dead leaves and several dead buds. There were also too many stems squished into a very small vase which will cause flowers to die prematurely. I called to talk to someone about it and was told the driver would return to pick up the bouquet and a partial refund would be given to my son because the driver would have to be paid. I asked why a partial refund and was told the driver had to be paid. I told the gentleman that a partial refund was not acceptable, and a business which sent old flowers should eat the cost of the driver or replace the flowers. He left me on the line to speak with the owner and came back to say the driver would be back to pick up the flowers and my son would get a full refund. The driver indeed returned and at this point the refund has not been made. Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Who goes and picks up flowers sent for someone's birthday without offering to replace them with a fresh bouquet? Not to mention have the common courtesy to apologize. I like to do things a little unconventionally sometimes. When I got married, I said to hell with a reception. I wasn't really interested in shaking a thousand people's hands - 99% of whom I'd never met before. Instead, I got married in the morning, had an exquisite luncheon, and then jumped on a plane to start the honeymoon. So, in going with that, I also did a few other things in reverse, or differently. I had my "bridals" taken after I returned from my honeymoon. And I had my husband in most of the shots. For the shoot, I needed a new bouquet and Twigs just happens to be a few blocks from my house. Not only is Twigs convenient, they have been voted Best in Utah for their roses consistently over the years. And if you happen to order a bouquet from them, you will see why. Raymond King is meticulous and incredibly knowledgeable with his flowers. My bouquet turned out gorgeous, full, and the roses themselves were the highest quality I have ever purchased. The bouquet was so beautiful that I ended up preserving this one instead of the one I had on my wedding day. Check it out! I ordered some flowers from here for my wife's birthday and mothers day, set to deliver on Friday, May 9th. First off, I got a 'delivery confirmation' email on Thursday afternoon, however when my wife checked friday morning, they weren't there. A call to Twigs had busy signals. When they finally did arrive, the arrangement that was delivered WAS NOTHING EVEN CLOSE to the one I ordered!!!! My Wife has a SEVERE allergy to Lillies, and I specifically ordered an arrangement that did NOT have them in it, and THEY DELIVERED AN ARRANGEMENT WITH LILLIES IN IT!!! (note: my wife is severely allergic to lillies, and I specifically ordered an arrangement that did not have any lillies in it). I will not ever be ordering from this business again!!! I am severely disapointed with their service and product provided. Update: My wife took the wrong order back, and asked them to fix it. They made a very poor attempt to try to give her 'something', and gave her an excuse of 'oh, we were out of what you ordered, we didn't think it would be that big a deal'. I have since demanded a refund, and will be issuing a chargeback from my bank if that is not completed in 3 days. Update: When my wife took this order back to the store, the owner absolutely refused to come to the front to address the issue. instead he yelled from the back 'just refund her!'. the lady at the front desk gave her a dozen roses as an attempt to make amends for the issue. They said they would refund me within a couple of days. I waited 3 days, and did not get a refund. An attempt to contact the store to resolve the issue was met with a gruff decline for refund and I got hung up on. I then went through a charge back with my bank. I provided photographic proof of what I had ordered, and what had been delivered, clearly showing a massive difference between them. The owner of the store tried to fight the chargeback, stating that he substituted the original order with another because he was 'out of the original order flowers', and that since he gave her a dozen roses, I had agreed that the matter was settled. I never, and my wife never, said anything of the sort. We continued to go through Visa Card services, until the owner finally dropped his objections and took the chargeback. I purchased flowers for my mom last Monday through 1-800-Flowers. Twigs Flower Company was the local florist who fulfilled my order. What was delivered, in no way, resembled what I ordered with the exception of the vase. My mom sent me a pic of the arrangement, thanking me for the surprise. Not only was it a surprise for her, but for me as well...and not in a good way. I immediately called 1-800-Flowers to complain. I had ordered a large arrangement of yellow tulips in a white pitcher. The description of the large read 20 tulips measures approximately 15"H x 14"L for $55.95. I can maybe count 10 random tulips in the received arrangement, along with some "filler" stuff. They also added a cheesy green bow that my 2 year old could have tied better blindfolded. 1-800-Flowers apologized for this and said they'd have the order redelivered the next day. I had to let my mom know to expect another shipment and why, which kind of ruined the whole "receiving flowers experience" for both of us. So I check with my mom Tuesday at 5:30 pm and she still hadn't received them. I called 1-800-Flowers again who attempted to contact the florist with no avail, as they had closed for the day. I called 1-800-Flowers again on Wednesday (today) and after contacting the florist, said they will be delivered today. As of 3 pm, she still hasn't received them, so I have no idea whether or not they ever got it right. I can say that I won't be using 1-800-Flowers again because I don't ever want to do business with this shop again! I feel like they tried to cheat me and save themselves a buck. Buyer beware. There are plenty of other reputable florist in the valley that I will stick with next time. Update: 3/5/13, I see that my review has been filtered by Yelp, along with all other negative reviews and has removed my rating from the overall rating of this business. How this company operates is humorous to me. So I order a basic flower arrangement to be delivered to my wife at her office on the Friday before Valentines day... I ordered at around 10-11 am and since Twigs is located near downtown and my wife works downtown, I figured there would be no problem in getting the flowers to her in time before she leaves the office at around 5:30pm. Well turns out that they didn't deliver the flowers until after 6pm and the flowers were left in the office all weekend. After my complaint to them via email on the 12th, they finally reply on the 15th and said "we are so SORRY to hear about this problem please give us a call when you have a moment , we want to make this right with you and again we are SINCERELY SORRY". Nice enough email back, but they did not reply with a number to call them at and no one could help me on this issue when I called their store. Since the 15th... no additional response back from them, nothing that seems like they want to resolve the issue. So consequently, they lost my business. read more
