My piercer was named Robyn and she was super personable, and made sure that I was relaxed. Immediately it was apparent how professional she was at piercing and took her time with sterilizing all the parts. A week later I reentered and had to get my bar extended to account for healing. The owner squeezed me in immediately and I was also able to talk to the owner who helped me out. I highly suggest scheduling a consult for your tattoo and letting Thomas work his magic. I know for mine (arm sleeve) we sat on the couch and talked for almost an hour about the tattoo and my ideas for it while he listened, asked questions, and drew up designs in front of me. His original design on his sketch pad was amazing to see, but even more so after he refined it, re-drew it, and it became a reality on skin. The shop is obviously loved by its owner and staff. Extremely clean! I've walked into plenty of shops and it just feels like an operating room, but here it feels very comfortable while still remaining a sterile space. This past Tuesday, the top fell off while I was cleaning it with a Q-tip. I called immediately, and the receptionist told me she would message me if an opening became available. I never heard back. I went to another piercer in Montpelier to see if they could help, but they couldn't. After waiting three days with no response from Angelina's Rose, I called again and explained that another piercer had told me it would likely be too late to save the piercing if it healed over. Instead of being seen promptly, I was offered an appointment a week later--even though by then the piercing would likely have closed, leaving surgical removal as my only option. I explained that if there were no appointments available, I was willing to come in and wait for an opening. I was finally told there was time to come in today at 10:00 a.m. When I arrived, the first thing Dell said was that I must have been touching the piercing because he "screws them on really tight." I tried to explain that it happened while I was cleaning it, but he interrupted me and said he already knew what I was going to say and that I must have been playing with it because "there's no other way" and that this had never happened to anyone else. The conversation quickly became unprofessional. He called me entitled because of the way I spoke to the receptionist. While I admit I was frustrated, I was not yelling, swearing, or being disrespectful--I was simply trying to get help before my piercing closed. I then asked why I had been told to come in at 10:00 a.m. if he had already decided he wasn't going to help me. He could have told me that over the phone and saved me the trip. His response was that when he has "shit to talk about someone," he says it to their face. I found that response incredibly unprofessional. He then told me I was no longer welcome at the shop, called me disrespectful, and refused to help me. As a result, my dermal will now likely need to be surgically removed. I also brought up that I didn't feel the receptionist had treated me kindly. Dell told me they had cameras and had reviewed the conversation, insisting she had done nothing wrong. I got the impression they were backing each other up rather than listening to my concerns, so I didn't feel like I was being heard. I told him I was glad there were cameras because I know I remained calm and never yelled or acted aggressively. To make matters worse, this isn't the first issue I've had. He pierced my second nostril crooked the first time, and I had to pay to have it repierced, even though the mistake wasn't mine. I'm incredibly disappointed with how I was treated. I've been a loyal customer for years, and I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this shop.

I already had two piercings with butterfly backs but no one mentioned there is a different kind of back now where you screw a microscopic post into a tiny hole. I had to take them out for an MRI and can't get them back in because I have paralysis in my thumbs and arthritis in my hands. I called to see if they could exchange them for the type I wanted because I can't use these and he got very defensive. He kept telling me he has a client with 4 fingers and only one hand so my disability shouldn't be a problem. If he can overcome his then surely I should overcome mine, he insisted. I felt like I was talking to a child. There was no apology for the miscommunication, no offer to try to reorder them or take them back or even issue some kind of credit. He just kept blaming me, saying I should have asked when I came in wearing butterflies and having no idea these others existed. The bottom line: They don't take an ounce of responsibility for anything and are incredibly rude to someone who spent hundreds of dollars on something she can't use. Telling me I am wrong about my disability and insisting I can pay them to teach me to do it was the icing on the cake. You don't tell a disabled person that their disability isn't real and they can do something they can't if they really wanted to. I would rather pierce my own ear with a rusty nail than set foot in this scam of a place again.
