As a loving tribute, we released doves.
    Rhonda W.

Our beautiful 33 yr old Son lost his life from a car accident 8/29/22. Time stripped us that opportunity for last hugs, kisses or goodbyes before he passed at the hospital. Being devastated is an understatement!!! As his Mother, I began the painstaking task of arranging his service. I quickly scheduled appointments to three local mortuaries to visit and discuss plans/quotes. Twin Chapels (Vallejo) was first up! Dave greeted us and expressed his sincere condolences as he led us to a well lit centralized room. We sat down and he genuinely ask how we were doing? As we shared, he listened. He gave us a tour and offered ideas and options for the service we envisioned. We felt welcomed and not rushed. As my Husband and Mother interacted with Dave, I silently prayed. As I listened and watched the three of them, I knew we were in the right place! Within a couple of days, I was able to finally reunite with my baby. Dave thoughtfully extended us the gift of 2 hours to love on him. That will forever be priceless to me! It gave me the strength to get through the week until his final homegoing. I called Dave literally 48 hours before his service with a last minute request to release doves. He listened and made it happen! We submitted orders for special keepsake jewelry. Later, I requested a few changes. Again, Dave listened and made it happen! I never had to deal with making funeral arrangements, let alone losing someone so close to me. Though my heart will always ache for the loss of my first born, I can look back at his homegoing with a smile. It was beautiful. I truly believe Dave and his team made a tremendous impact on my experience. Their kindness, patience and care gave me some peace. I am eternally grateful and highly recommend Twin Chapels. R. It was my grandma's request to be laid to rest here, next to her husband of 50+ years. She was buried on April 10, 2024. When I visited her grave on December 23, 2024, her plot wasn't even marked because she's still waiting on a headstone (not the cemetery's fault). I went to the office, called the phone number on the door, and never received a call back. Fast forward to December 22, 2025, same issue, so I repeated my walk to the office to call the phone number on the door. Only when I said that I would escalate the situation to the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau in my voicemail did I receive a text back. Whoever was texting me was argumentative, even when I cited a California penal code that states that graves need to be marked. The director called me after that, said that a headstone is actually ready to be made, but that he has not received payment yet. Due to conflict within my family, I volunteered to pay for the headstone, but that the proof will need to be changed before I pay. I have since started a GoFundMe to raise money for the headstone and I'm doing what I can to save for it, too. I informed the director that I would be visiting the cemetery again on January 8, 2026 and would like to meet him in person to discuss the proof. January 8th came and went, the grave is still unmarked, the director was not on site to meet me, and he has not communicated with me since December 24, 2025. Did I mention that I drive from the Sacramento area to visit my family members' graves? This is ridiculous. Graves without headstones should be marked for health and safety reasons, not to mention out of respect, and cemetery directors are supposed to be good at communicating with clients. I'm done being patient and understanding. Something's got to give. I will take this review down when I get much-needed results.

So you can imagine the state I was in when it actually happened. I've never dealt with death on this level before, more less have it be my spouse and very best friend. My sister did a lot of googling and researching to help me find a place to make arrangements. She called Diablo Valley Cremation and told me she had a really good feeling about them. We made an appt, but were actually able to come down anytime. We sat down and spoke to Bari, who was above and beyond compassionate and professional. She explained everything so gently, and it was almost as if there was nothing I had to worry about or do outside of grieving my dear husband. I knew she was the perfect fit to care for my husbands passing. She handled everything, and I mean everything. Her communication was top notch and extremely easy to get ahold of in case I had any questions or needing to talk about something. We set up a viewing before cremation, and she was at my and my families side as support throughout the entire experience. My husband looked wonderful. Although it was heartbreaking, Bari made it less horrible. We all hugged her, she made us feel comforted and safe in what we were going through. Bari has turned out to be such an invaluable and amazing partner in this tragic journey of mine. I've had to stop at the business several times to drop off cremation necklaces, my husband's urn, and pick things up. Each time I hugged and thanked her. She even got full handprints of my husband for me, not just the complimentary fingerprints. She genuinely has put so much love, care and concern into my husband, myself and our kids. The entire experience. Bari, I know I thank you so often. But I need to reiterate that I couldn't have gotten through these horrific first steps of my husbands death without your kind and gentle soul. We hope you're able to make it to the service, we'd be honored to have you. With endless gratitude and love, The Lindborg Family

From the very beginning, their team was patient, compassionate, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. After a previous experience with another funeral home where everything felt urgent, this was completely different. The atmosphere here was serene, welcoming, and allowed us the space to breathe, ask questions, and make decisions with care. We genuinely felt supported every step of the way. Because of this experience, I now feel inspired to plan my own arrangements ahead of time so my family can focus on grieving and being together, rather than navigating logistics during such a painful time. I am deeply grateful for the care they provided. 10/10, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of compassionate and professional funeral services.

They were amazing as I navigated through last minute, challenging complications with my mom's remains leading up to her burial.... and they didn't even handle her or cremate her when she passed (an East Bay mortuary did).
