From the very beginning, their team treated us with compassion, respect, and professionalism. Rose was especially wonderful--kind, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She guided me through every step with care and understanding, making sure I felt supported and never overwhelmed. The drivers who came to my home were equally professional and respectful. They handled everything with such dignity and sensitivity that it truly lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. Because of their care, I was able to focus on grieving and healing rather than worrying about the logistics. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and support I received, and I highly recommend Diablo Valley Cremation and Funeral Services to anyone in need of these services. They made us comfortable and allowed us th share information about our loved one, through our tears. They cared, they listened, they paused paperwork at times, and we completed everything with ease. They made us so comfortable that it felt like family. Thank you Diablo Valley

However, the police department office is only open on weekdays, so I was out of luck. I was disappointed. I was still able to look over the fence and get a feel for the place and take some photos. Next time I will check with the police so I can get access ahead of time. It turns out the city has been struggling to maintain the cemetery for quite a few years.

Not only will the living good ascend to heaven but the dead will rise and ascend also. So that means that today is supposed be a zombie invasion. The gates are locked and the fences are up. I could see through the chain link. Which is good to keep the zombies in. I could see the past markers and bulletin boards with information on them. The signage looks like the ones that are at the entrances to East Bay Parks. Except I couldn't go in and look at them. I was so sad. The Cemetery looks so cool. From what my neighbor told me is that they only open it around Halloween to give tours that the City of Martinez runs. I'm so signing up for that this year. There are roughly 2,600 people buried here. Who would have thought? Only one famous person is buried here too. Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General, Gen George Washington Bowie. In 1854, he was elected to the California state assembly. Its sad to think that the graves here are so old that no one even remembers to come here to lay flowers on their relatives graves. I guess that happens to everyone in the end. I really wish the Cemetery was open to visitors at least once a month or something, anything. When staring through chain link you really don't get the full effect. So when a living person "ascends" to heaven do you just disappear or do you kind of float slowly up like a balloon? Then like 20 minutes later if you focus your eyes you can still see it. We can be like, "Oh, there they are. To the left a little over those trees. See the black dot?" I cant wait to take a tour of this place someday. I also kind of cant wait for Rapture! Ill see you in hell.

From the very beginning, their team was patient, compassionate, and never made us feel rushed or pressured. After a previous experience with another funeral home where everything felt urgent, this was completely different. The atmosphere here was serene, welcoming, and allowed us the space to breathe, ask questions, and make decisions with care. We genuinely felt supported every step of the way. Because of this experience, I now feel inspired to plan my own arrangements ahead of time so my family can focus on grieving and being together, rather than navigating logistics during such a painful time. I am deeply grateful for the care they provided. 10/10, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of compassionate and professional funeral services.

I would have highly recommend ed and given them 5 stars even then. But now, I'd give them 10 stars if I could. They were amazing as I navigated through last minute, challenging complications with my mom's remains leading up to her burial.... and they didn't even handle her or cremate her when she passed (an East Bay mortuary did). They truly went above and beyond even coming to pick up my moms remains at my home and finding a way to ensure it would arrive safely close to her burial site since I could not take her on a plane with her urn. They were kind, compassionate, professional, thorough, and go above and beyond at a time when it's really needed. Thank you Eugene, in particular!

My dad lost his battle with cancer, and saying goodbye to him was the hardest experience I have ever faced. Priscilla handled all of the cemetery arrangements, while George managed the funeral, church, and burial services with incredible compassion and professionalism. During a time filled with grief, stress, and uncertainty, George and Priscilla were a source of comfort and guidance. They made a very difficult process feel seamless and treated our family with kindness, dignity, and genuine care every step of the way. They far exceeded our expectations, and I truly don't know what we would have done without them. Queen of Heaven is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery nestled in the foothills of Lafayette. The grounds are serene and impeccably maintained, and the chapel is one of the most beautiful cemetery churches I have ever seen. Knowing my dad rests in such a special place brings our family comfort. I was also told they offer a monthly Saturday memorial service to honor and remember loved ones who have recently passed. As Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on my dad's life and the impact cancer has on so many families. This month, I completed a cycling fundraiser to help raise awareness and support the fight against cancer in memory of my dad and for all those who have passed away or continue to battle this disease. It reminded me how precious life truly is. What I've learned through this journey is simple: if there are things you've always wanted to do, places you've wanted to see, or people you've wanted to spend time with, do it now. Don't wait. Life is precious, and it passes by far too quickly. Thank you, George, Priscilla, and the entire team at Queen of Heaven. This review may be long overdue, but our gratitude remains just as strong today as it was a year ago. We will never forget your kindness, compassion, and the comfort you brought our family during our darkest days. In loving memory of my dad.
