We lucked out in choosing Home Instead to take care of our 90 year old mother. (she was 87 at the…read moretime). Their services are phenomenal, starting with the first call. Mom was in rehab and about to be released. She refused to let anyone in the family take care of her because she didn't want to be a "burden". Home Instead came to the rehab facility within hours of my call and it was smooth sailing after that. Their patient coordinator, office staff, care givers, and especially the owner, John Stuck have been so attentive we'd think we are their only client. John has been to see mom several times and each time it just brightens her day (he is quite personable). We have never had a problem with their services and whenever I call with a change, etc, their response time is lightening fast and handled as though we are family to them. They also have a pay scale to match the clients needs. We are currently on the companion care plan and when mom starts to decline, we can move up a notch to the personal care plan, etc. And mom likes the variety of care givers each day. She has the same 3-4 that rotate (24/7) and she never gets bored. Since mom never wants to leave her home, now she won't have to - because of Home Instead, she can stay home as long as she wants. She is living on her terms which has kept all of us sane. When the time comes that you ever need this type of care, save yourself a lot of time and call Home Instead first - you won't be disappointed.

I hired this company for PCA services, the first person they sent to help me kept leaving the apt…read more and she stole my food. her name was Catina she was so lazy she didn't want to carry my groceries upstairs to my apt. and when i asked her to cook me some eggs and pancakes she said i ain't know chef. The second person they sent had a habit of burning food because she paid more attention to talking on the phone then staying in the kitchen watching my food being cooked, and she washed the garbage can in the kitchen sink instead of in the bath tub. When we went grocery shopping she put the food away ok but didn't close the freezer door so my food defrosted and my ice cream i just bought melted. I had to teach her to wash the bottom of the pans, yes the dish drainer had a skillet with grease on the bottom and food still on a spoon. When i called the office and complained about the level of service and the nurse hasn't come yet to do a care plan and its been three weeks they canceled my contracted effective immediately leaving me sick with no care and they wont return my $35.00 security key they just tell me the pca does not have bus fare to drop it off.

After my dad passed, they rushed us out as if we were impeding on them even though their care staff or rather the lack of care was the fault. my twin sister has been at providence for several years and this reveiw is long overdue. last week…read moreshe was taken to the hospital because her qxygen level was down to 35% too low to function. her medical directives state she was to receive oxygen twice a day for one hour each time. we found out because of some glitch she hadn't received any for over 3 weeks. then while at the emergency room the doctors found her arm /shoulder was fractured and the injury was over 2 weeks old. when asked about it providence had no idea how it happened and blamed covid for being terribly understaffed. i find this totally unacceptable and am contacting anybody i can to lookinto this for me. now i find out that all of my sisters stimulus checks were kept by providence and never even deposited into anne's account. my sister was told if you want to open a seperate account with anne's money then you will be 100% responsible for her care. there are 190 beds at providence and if only 180 beds are filled each resident would have received $3,200 which totals $576,000 that providence is stealing from the residents. this also is going to be investigated , i will make sure of it. also the residents personal property is being stolen by the staff there on a regular basis. we can't even leave anne depends, which we did and they were gone (4 pkg) by the very next day. i would never recomend this facility to anyone who loves the person they are thinking about placing there. sincerely, barbara jones
