I went through him to get my medical card and yes, you do have to pay before your appointment and it's $205. I don't know where people are getting these crazy numbers of it costing way more than that, but it doesn't. Everything is done remotely. Everything was super smooth and there weren't any issues at all. I got my medical card the following day, even though it can take up to 30 days. Everything was super short, simple, and to the point. I never had an issue with Rachel, she has always been pleasant to deal with. I actually got my fiancé set up with an appointment, and he had the same great experience as I did. We even called him back and had a chemical eval done for court and they were just as thorough and pleasant as the first time. I've recommended them to several people. This practice has left a bitter taste in my mouth…read more To begin with, the wait time is insane. I always arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment times. Each time I would wait at least a half hour after my appointment time before being seen. Had 2 appointments here (per a referral from my doctor) for extreme muscle fatigue, dizziness, nausea. My doctor was Peter Boardman. I expressed my concerns about serious things like MS and muscular dystrophy (which runs in my family) and he looked at me like I was crazy for thinking those things. Made me feel pretty annoyed. He ordered an MRI and an EMG. The EMG was done at their office while the MRI was at St. John's hospital across Beam. The woman who did my EMG did the shocking part fine, but when it came to putting needles in, she put them in and dug around around so hard to the point where I was wincing so hard in pain, and I have a decent pain tolerance. To this day (nearly 3 weeks after) I still have moderate-extreme pain where the woman dug her needle around in my upper arm. I can't bear any weight on it. Got my EMG results back 15 mins after the test was done and he told me the results before I left the office. Thankfully the MRI was not done there. I had the MRI done a few days after the EMG at St. John's. A few days after that, I received the results of the MRI on healtheast my chart. It said my brain was fine, but I had some lesions near my salivary glands that I could've used some explaining from the neuro doctor. Peter Boardman did not call me until over 3 weeks after the MRI results. Luckily I had hit my deductible for the year and insurance paid a large amount of my $1,000+ bill from there (which the cost of it is insanity). Needless to say I would not go back here even if someone paid me. Long wait times before your appointment, place is pretty run down especially the waiting room and chairs, staff seems to not know what they're doing. The front desk woman couldn't even decipher my which insurance company was on my insurance card which was a bit laughable but pretty worrying. If I ever have to go to a neuro again I will steer clear of this place.

I have been fairly happy with Summit Orthopedics for the Vadnais Heights and Woodbury locations…read more The only struggle I have had is after having injections, that the doctors don't like to prescribe pain meds. I have had 4 different epidural/steroidal injections in the last 3 months and they have caused significant pain for 2-3 days afterwards and I have missed a lot of work due to this. If I was given something right away for the pain, it would have been easier to get through those 2-3 initial days and I would not have had to miss work. I also do not like the fact that it can be difficult to get any discharge instructions or work restrictions after the procedures. Whenever I leave any Allina clinics, I am given specific notes and after visit summaries. I am a person that wants everything documented so that if I have questions afterwards, I can refer to the paperwork. The doctor's and other staff members are very friendly and usually seem to care about your health moving forward. The reason why I say usually is because I have felt not listened to on a couple different occasions. I know what is going on with my body and I need to be heard regardless of other past circumstances from their other clients.

It's difficult to do clinic reviews because so much of it is tied to your particular care provider (i.e. doctor, nurse, physical therapist, etc.). In my first visit to OSI, I wanted to get my knee assessed before deciding on surgery. OSI has a $30 assessment visit that is for an hour. The therapist I saw for that visit said I had some obvious weakness in my knee, but also focused in on the fact that my legs weren't aligned correctly. She recommended all kinds of corrective physical therapy before surgery as well expensive sole inserts for my shoes. Fortunately, after my surgery, I got paired with a different and much better physical therapist in Tara. UNfortunately, she's not at this location anymore. In fact, I heard she moved back to her native South Dakota. Tara was great. Very professional, very friendly, and answered all my questions and concerns with patience. I asked her about my leg alignment during one appointment and she said it was a bit off but if it's not bothering me, it's best not to mess with it. Great philosophy. I was glad that I was able to complete my physical therapy before she left and I only found out she was gone when I stopped in to say hi a few weeks later. The clinic itself isn't bad. They have some private rooms and a larger area with a bunch of different kinds of equipment for general physical therapy use. I didn't like doing my exercises in the big room with others watching, although, most of the time it was just one or two other physical therapists hanging about. I think there was only one other time where there was another patient in the room. Given that I was working on my knee, I was on their exercise bike for 5 mins before each appointment. They had fancy exercise bikes with fancy readouts which, I would assume, included a timed workout. But they would always give me a digital kitchen timer to time my biking instead. I don't know if they didn't know how to work the bike electronics, or if they just weren't working. The receptionists and assistants were always smiley and friendly and knew who I was after the first few appointments so I didn't have to always tell them my name when I checked in. It's nice to know that they're paying some attention to you week in and week out. Overall, a nice clinic and a good location. I give the facility 4 stars and my "real" personal physical therapist 5 stars. Since there are no half stars, and because of my first experience there, I have to average down.

He answered questions patiently and was never patronizing. Lynn, his assistant always returned calls promptly and answered any questions I had. She has since left, but my brief interaction with his new assistant does not lead me to believe she'll be any different. I have only two complaints about this office. First, when I called for my initial appointment and ask for an appointment as soon as possible, they got me an appointment with Dr. Meyer. The problem was, he was a hand doctor and not a knee doctor. I was just getting an assessment at the time and when I decided to do my surgery, I had to do a new assessment with Dr. Weiss. So basically, the money I paid for my first appt would have been just as well served being flushed down the toilet. Even though I asked for an appointment as soon as possible, I would have been willing to wait a week or two if I had known knees was not Dr. Meyer's expertise and that Dr. Weiss would have ended up being my surgeon anyway. My other complaint is that the fee for the surgery covers the surgery itself and follow-up visits. What they neglected to tell me was that the follow-ups were covered only up to 6 months. When Dr. Weiss asked to see me "in three months", the appointment ended up 1 week after the 6 month time frame. So I had to pay for it (insert flushing noise here). Overall, I was very happy with Dr. Weiss and the work he did on my knee. I'm slightly perturbed at spending more than I needed to in this office, but now I know what questions to ask. For a very reasonable cost, I received a 2+ hour consultation with 2 short interventional type therapies to address my specific issues. SchaOn was able to identify areas of focus and offer some very simple changes to start out with that will address some of my more immediate needs. The follow up appointment are recommended for every 2 weeks to a month, depending on the situation. For the price of healthcare and the amount of money I shell out for this pill and that pill and the pills to combat the side effects of the other pills, the cost is such an unbelievably reasonable. ($125 for initial consult & two treatments) Being in recovery from addiction, I find it really important to have multiple options available to manage my health. I believe very strongly in a mind-body connection. I received excellent education and look forward to learning much much more! This is probably one of the first appointments in my life that I actually felt "heard" and looked at from a comprehensive standpoint. Certainly, I gladly recommend these services for whatever your needs are whether it is pain, emotional struggle, general health and/or anyone looking to get centered in life.
