Great bang for buck. Can get busy at times but a solid course! Always a place to go when friends come back through Rochester

I played this course last year and really loved it! It was inexpensive to play and I had a lot of fun there. Their collection of par 3's was one of my favorites that I've played in a long time. Beautiful course but second time playing here and it's like a 590 traffic jam! 2.5 hr to play 9 holes.. seriously they got there money though. Won't be back! Couldn't finish 18 had to leave at the turn. Joke.... read more

Great course for the value, nicely maintained driving range and practice green. Good for casual players.

I have been playing at Twin Hills at least twice a summer and frequently 4-6 times a summer for the last 20 years. I have always enjoyed the course and the management. Today however was a first. We had a tee time for 4 players but the skies were threatening. We wanted to start given the tendency for these storms to blow over but asked about the rain check policy. The person taking our fees said there were no rain checks. I know of no other public course in the Rochester area with such a policy. As luck would have it, rain,thunder and lightening engulfed the course after the 4th hole. We left and given the policy had no hope of getting a rain check for at least nine holes which would have been fair enough. So, the group does not want to return to Twin Hills unless that policy is changed. I don't know what the owners are saving with such a policy. They certainly lost us. read more

So you complete 4 holes by around 10 ish AM then a torrential downpour with thunder and lightning and your told we don't do rain checks WTH. Not asking for anything we didn't pay for, I think they need to revisit that policy read more

This course has the most beautiful and challenging par 3s I have ever played or seen. There is a wonderful creek that winds its way through this course. It wraps around the third hole creating a nice setting, and you shoot over it in the 4th and 6th holes. But when you get to the 5th hole you just have to stop and smell the roses for a bit. The creek wraps completely around the green, and then runs diagonally across infront of you as you size up the hole from the T box. I literally dream of the beauty of the 5th hole. There is a very high cliff that shoots up behind the creek and runs all along the right side of the creek and the hole. The entire effect is truly magical. The moving water always hypnotizes me and makes the hole even more challenging. But there is nothing to compare with the sheer tranquility and beauty of the overall scene. When I finish this course, I long to go back to see that hole again. And when I think of any course in wny to go play, the 5th hole of twin hills always comes to my mind first. It is just that beautiful. I have taken pictures of it, movies of it, and even tried to paint it. Words, photos, movies, and paintings cannot capture its essence. Please trust me when I say, I believe it is the most beautiful hole in wny, and most likely anywhere golf is played. I live about an hour from this course and get there maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I don't know where anyone is coming from that says the staff here is rude, I have never seen or felt that at all. Maybe they are just trying to keep people from coming here so it does not get overrun. Anyway, enjoy this course, respect the greens and repair your ball marks. I love twin hills. read more

Worst course in the county don't waste your money on this garbage heap. Rude staff ,poor management, no ranger, grounds are a disaster... We felt like someone stole from us. read more

A few weeks ago, my foursome played here. One of us paid for 9 holes, the others paid for 18. 3 out of 4 of us have been regulars, playing there almost weekly over the past two seasons. Front 9 went well and our 4th dropped out at the turn, as planned. When we got to the tee box on 10, the guy watching the check in (I'm not familiar with him as he's not one of the guys I typically get checked in by each week. Must typically work the later shift?) had let two groups that included either all or some walkers to tee off at 10 in front of us as we were making the turn. I'm guessing they wanted to just play the back 9. As if that wasn't frustrating enough, the employee manning the clubhouse came to us saying we only paid for 9. We told him no, 3 of us paid our $30 each for 18 and a cart, which is exactly what we did, in cash. Same as every week. He insisted that his log indicated the group had only paid for 9. I'm guessing the early guy (he checks us in all the time) had marked one of our foursome for 9 and this guy was assuming that meant the entire group since he wasn't there when we had checked in? Anyway, he walked away and we continued to wait to tee off without complaining. We eventually get to tee off and when we went to take our second shots, we could see there was no way we were going to get to finish our back 9 at a reasonable pace with the two groups ahead of us. With the combination of being accused of trying to steal 9 holes and having to wait on two walking groups who never should have been allowed to go off the back when active groups were making the turn, we decided to turn around and leave. We still didn't complain or ask for a refund. The only reason I'm leaving this review is because I couldn't find a way to email the course about my concerns so this seems to be the best option. It's really unfortunate because, as I said before, Twin Hills is our affordable, go-to weekly option during the season. Now two of us are struggling with whether we should ever go back and one of us has already decided he will not. Now it looks like we're going to have to figure out our new weekly regular for next season, even though we still like the course. read more

What a surprise this course was. In my search for a different course to play this was just a random selection. I have been pretty lucky in finding new courses to play. As it tuns out this was an excellent choice. The price was just $20 for 18 holes with a cart and the course was in excellent condition and the scenery was outstanding. The course gets is name from the Hill Twins, Warren and Russel, who built Twin Hills in 1969. The land was part of Moncony Farms, farmed by the Hill family since the mid 1800's. The course is forgiving, yet tree lined and rolling fairways and greens makes it challenging to keep your ball in the short stuff. One big surprise was to see all the trout in the streams on holes 3 and 4. If you are in the area and looking for a course to play you should stop by because you will not be disappointed. I wish this course was closer to home so that I could play it more often. read more

Very unfriendly staff and course was not in good shape at all. Would strongly not recommend going here as there are many other courses that are better value in the same area. read more
