We ordered food and a drink before we played. The bar was very nice, good lighting and personable bartenders. We ordered a couple beers, a Reuben sandwich and an order of sweet potato fries. All items were terrific. The sandwich had real corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, sauce and pumpernickel seeded bread. Yum! The fries had a butter, cinnamon syrup that was delicious too. The beer was $5 for happy hour, which is not a bad price for hay burner. We were able to pay $10 to rent a club and we got a bucket of medium balls. There were plenty of spots available on both floors and the area was clean and set up nicely. I hit a few balls, so I feel that it was a successful night! We had so much fun and will definitely be back.

This is a thinking player's course - you don't have to be a long hitter to do okay. However, if you don't keep the ball in play and have poor course management skills, you're scores can balloon very quickly.

I wouldn't recommend walking this course as it felt at times we were driving a whole kilometer from one hole to the next, but this isn't necessarily a negative, just something to keep in mind. The golf course managers do an excellent job of spacing out tee times as we never felt like we were hitting into another group or had someone on our tails. I have no issues with the course itself, however I would not recommend bringing a new golfer here as there are many houses near the course and a novice golfer would very easily hit multiple houses/windows. All in all, I feel like it was a good experience to golf here and would rate the clubhouse/locker room as an A. Keep up the good work.

I'd rate it a 4.5 if it wasn't for the thievery they are now practicing on their customers... So, at the end of an always-enjoyable meal, instead of an itemized bill (which I believe is REQUIRED BY LAW), the waiter just presented a hand-held payment device stating NOTHING but the total. We demanded an itemized bill, which they took 5 minutes to create. Now, this itemized bill amount was a bit less, which could've been an honest mistake, but really, do they EVER make a mistake in the customer's favor? As normal, we leave a 20% pre-tax tip (one of the reasons why we needed the itemized bill), but when entering the credit card info, the machine "suggested" different tip amounts, and THERE is where the blatant scam occurrs! So, on a pre-tax bill of $78, what is 20%? It's $15.60. The post tax bill was something around 84.25, and 20% of THAT would be $16.85. But this hand-held "electronic grift machine" says that 20% is.....$21?? In what alternate universe is THIS possible? The obvious answer is that they are trying to scam people out of another $5, maybe $10, or even more! When did they decide to fleece their customers for petty increases? Do they think that fiscal dishonesty is a valid business model? Daheq are they THINKING?? Well, right now I'm filing a complaint with the NY State Attorney General's office. I'm disappointed, because I really liked the place despite it being located on a golf course, but it will be a cold day in hell when I'll give any business to a thief again! If anybody decides to eat there, DEMAND an itemized bill, and expect that they WILL try to fleece you.

On a golf trip with some buddies, first timer at the sport so I had to take in a lot of knowledge…read morelol. This golf course was in my opinion perfect with it being my first time. A lot of the holes were pretty straight on and weren't too difficult, although the sport along is very complex lol. The Genesee Valley Golf Course has a north course as well as a south course. We played the north course, front 9 and then the back 9. They offer karts as I'm sure most places do. They have a driving range as well where I was able to get a few practice shots in and get a feel for the club. The staff was very accommodating and informative. Inside they have a little shop where you can purchase merchandise and use the washroom if needed. Overall I had a blast, the scenery was great with the changing of the leaves and the freshly dew grass lol. Would definitely enjoy another round of golf!

Anyway, my husband needs help reading the small print on receipts. I was assisting him in leaving the tip and total when the tender rudely shouted at me to please move so that she could serve the next customer. I reacted by apologizing, ditching my husband to figure it out on his own and as I stood behind my husband realized that the entire bar was empty. She could have literally stepped to anywhere else in the bar area to serve the next customer. Most bar tenders go to where the customer is - it was the strangest experience which completely soured my feelings of this place.
