I've been here many times now, and each time im wanting to go back more and more! My server today…read morewas Esper and she was great, super sweet and helped with everything I asked about the menu. I got the black bean burger to change things up, normally i get the falafel burger. Both are equally delicious, the black bean burger didn't hold well so I just used a fork and it was all going to the same place anyway. Esper was definitely review worthy! Going to ask for her again! Deciding what burger to decide between next will be the hard part hahaha! Thank you Iron Hill.

While I've normally visited for weekend dinner visits my visit on this occasion was a mid-week happy hour. First, if you've enjoyed the setting in the past you will be happy to know it looks/feels like the same Iron Hill, spacious, clean, well lit, and plenty of TVs in the expansive bar area for watching sporting events. There is outdoor seating both on the main level and the upper level ---for this visit I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a welcoming bartender who walked me through the happy hour specials---half dozen food options from a soft hot pretzel to personal pan pizzas for $7....thats a bargain from my perspective. Throw in drink specials and this is a great happy hour setup. Opted for a red blend and they had a very good mid-level blend I've had other places---Pessimist red blend. Went with a personal pan pizza and asked for light sauce and extra cheese and it was prepared perfectly.....didn't even get charged for the extra cheese! There was a nice crowd for a mid week late afternoon happy hour and the place seemed well staffed and everyone I interacted with was pleasant and attentive----good place to visit or revisit while down on the Wilmington riverfront.

I really, really liked this place. Friday night in Wilmington for dinner and a show -- Mikimotos…read morewas perfect. The layout is great. An Asian-modern feel, kinda happening, makes you feel part of "the scene" and not just any restaurant. I got the same thing I always get whenever I'm eating Japanese: seaweed salad and some sushi. Everything was fine. I give it a four-out-of-five only because, well, I'm in my 60s, I've eaten a lot of sushi, and when it comes to Mikimotos ... the nigiri, not the biggest pieces I've ever had, which is a shame because it was quite good. The seaweed salad could have been drained a little better, a bit on the briney side, but eat up! Seaweed salad is a superfood. Beautiful selection of sakis. I picked something light and cold, on the sweeter side, of which I did consume a lot. I had a fine time at Mikimotos. Price point? Ummm ... not cheap, but nothing ever is these days. I can't think of any reason not to recommend Mikimotos. (But perhaps a word of caution. Wilmington can feel a little sketchy to the out-of-towner, and there is a public park two blocks away that I found a bit harrowing to walk through. The inhabitants of said park were eager to engage, so steer clear and keep your wits about you.)

The ambiance is vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind with a few drinks. I tried the Wilmington Roll, sushi taco, and the Mikimoto, and each dish was a delight! The flavors were fresh and well-balanced--kudos to the chef for such excellent preparations.Service: The service was outstanding! Sitting at the bar, I had the pleasure of being served by Renee. She was not only attentive but also offered fantastic suggestions that complemented the food perfectly. Our conversations added to the warm atmosphere. Overall, this spot is a gem for sushi lovers. Great food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance make it an ideal dining experience!
