This was my first time attending a seated wine tasting at Twin Liquors. I found out that it was the first one they had hosted since Covid hit. There were some bumps at the beginning of the tasting. The person leading the tasting was a substitute from another store, and wasn't informed how many people to expect. Apparently the store didn't cut off RSVP's once the seating capacity was reached, so people came but didn't have seats. The staff adapted well, found seats for the extra people, and proceeded with the tasting. The staff shared lots of information behind the wines as well as welcoming input from those of us tasting them for the first time. We were given decent tasting portions of each vintage, and time to sip and savor it as we learned about where it was from. We ended the class with a sample of champagne that I enjoyed so much that I bought a bottle before I left the store. I recommend attending one of their beverage tastings if you get a chance. read more

I'm always very impressed by the customer service at this particular Twin Liquors. I'm always greeted walking inside, they're Covid safe, and if I'm buying a few bottles, will ask if I need help carrying my bags. They have sanitizer on the counters and require masks inside the store for employees and customers. This location has quite a variety of liquor, wines, beer, and mixers. They have "twin deals" as well and sales. I don't know what it is with this location but the employees are so rude. Now I go to the 620 twin liquors. I decided to give the University Boulevard location another chance today. I walk in and asked the man where the triple sec and margarita mix is. He just tells me at the end of that isle and points and doesn't ask me if I need help. So I decided to look around I could not find what I was looking for. I was walking out and he said did you find it, I said I think I'm going to go somewhere else. Then he mumbles have a good one. Best liquor store in N. Austin area hands down. I always have a great experience when I come through. They have a HUGE selection so odds are they have exactly what you're looking for. Buddy is an absolute pleasure to work with & really helped me out by putting me onto some great bourbons as well as scotches when I was first being introduced to the wonderful world of whisky's. They also have a decent selection of cigars in their walk in humidor so you can't go wrong there. All in all I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for that certain spirit or something run of the mill. Can not go wrong with there selection! read more

Wonderful experience. I entered the store and was immediately greeted by the store manager, Adrian, asking me if I need any assistance locating anything. Been shopping at this location since my wife and I moved up to the terravista area. Always great service here, Andrew and his team are awesome and always willing to help you pick out something nice. Great wine selection whether you're into French, California, Spanish wine, etc. the Twin sourced picks are always interesting and you won't really find them anywhere else. Great selections of spirits too, if bourbon is your thing, there's always an interesting bottle to consider. What's makes this place 5 star though is the staff. Most twin liquors are really good- I have yet to meet the evil Twin Liquor. This specific location (#77) is even a step above the rest. First of all, it's perhaps the most aesthetically pleasing liquor store that I've ever been in (that's saying something). The place is vast as well. Their size is only rivaled by their selection. They. Have. Everything. Aisles upon aisles of both wine and liquor. The prices are very good. They tend to have a good amount of things on sale at any given time. There's also a great selection of beer, both local and not. They have an ATX section and a TX section. There's a gang of reach-ins as well as a large walk-in full of brews. They frequently have tastings here as well. I've recently made myself a Siamese-twin with this liquor store, attached at both the mouth and liver. read more

Not just a liquor store. This location has a small banquet area where I attended a dinner luncheon with a presentation from a representative of a Scotch producer. Very interesting and we were able to sample many of their distillates. And what a great idea to have this kind of a setting and event in a Twin location. I had a terrible experience with their "delivery " service. It was never revealed to me that the recipient had to be home to show ID when I placed my order. Now, I'm out the delivery charge and a totally unearned tip as the delivery was never completed and the liquor was returned to the store. Please use Specs if you need a liquor delivery in Round Rock......sigh...... read more

I was so impressed with the level of customer service at this location. I just moved to Round Rock, and Twin Liquor employees at my previous location in Austin were helpful. These guys at the University Blvd. location in Round Rock are awesome. Andrew took a lot of time to help me choose the right wine. Buddy made an outstanding suggestion for vodka. Thank you, guys. Scott is very rude and obviously hates his job or other races! He had the nerve to tell me that if it was up to him that they do away with gift packages, and they just take up space. I thought that they bring in customers and show holiday spirit. I will never return to this store and hes lucky I was in a good mood. He almost lost a sale of 100 dollars because he has a big mouth!
