I would give this place 1,000 five stars if I could. The teachers love the children -- every single teacher there loves children. And that shows in everything they do. From the activities they plan, to the way they speak with kids and make the children feel valued and safe. I believe every single child can benefit from Twinkle's exciting and warm environment. The curriculum changes every week so the kids never get bored of the same routine. The field trips take the kids out into the world. As an example my son during Halloween wasn't afraid of any decorations because a precious field trip to a pumpkin patch the Twinkle teachers had taught the children the decorations were not real and even had the kids touch them to verify. It's these tiniest details that allow children to grow and understand the world around them. Another example, my son was once afraid to feed an animal at a petting zoo. Most teachers would just tell the child it's OK, just watch the animal eat. But the Twinkle teacher asked my son if he wanted to put his hand on hers and they could feed the animal together. My son said yes and was so happy after feeding the animal. This kind of wisdom on how to help children BUILD confidence in the smallest way taught me so much. All of this of course is not a coincidence. Setare, the owner and principal of the school has been teaching children for decades. So everything in her teaching comes from years and years and years of experience. She knows how to handle every child situation with wisdom and can handle any child's personality and bring out the best in them. Her experience is absolutely irreplaceable and is second to none. Where do I start raving about this amazing child care! We feel we have hit the jackpot with Twinkle Twinkle. My first one went to Twinkle Twinkle 7 years back and the little one 3 years old is going to Twinkle currently. Twinkle for us is like a second home, full of love and learnings. I have witnessed so many kids who go out of Twinkle learning so many skills and the most importantly empathy. The teachers here are phenomenon and each and every one of them really loves and care for the kids and it shows. The founder and owner Setare is such an amazing human being. She makes sure every child feels loved. Teachers are fully vetted and she makes sure every teacher is there for the love of teaching and caring more than anything else. What sets Twinkle apart (other than oodles of love) is their field trip days! Every Wednesday kids go out on these field trips to museums, parks and so many other cool places. They build so many memories and it also takes the pressure off of the parents to take the kids to these different places in the Bay area :) Twinkle has all the music teachers come in and they have ballet every week. Kids get an opportunity to participate in multiple events throughout the year and go on stage to perform. This builds up their confidence. Throughout the day the kids have multiple projects laid out for them. They do free plays in the frontyard and backyard is full of amazing play structures and toys. They have structured circle time and lots of book readings. They learn days/alphabets/shapes and other pre-K stuff this time and throughout the day. My little one wants to go to Twinkle even on the weekends and she misses her school so much during the breaks. Both my kids love their teachers. There is a reason you see a lot of five-star reviews for Twinkle: This school, and the teachers, are borderline magical. I cannot imagine a more caring *and* educational environment for preschool-aged kids. We have sent two children here (and plan to send our third, just born.) Our oldest emerged super social and well-prepared for kindergarten thanks to the combination of play and learning. The parents, students, and teachers are diverse and involved. As a parent, you can be as involved as you want to be, from volunteering to help during the school day, to just doing the drop off and pick up. Throughout the 5 years that at least one of our children has been enrolled here, we have seen the teachers adapt to all kinds of kids- the quiet ones, the super-outgoing ones, the adventurous ones, the timid ones, non-English speakers, you name it. They are not tolerant- they are truly *accepting* of all kinds of people and needs. Are you nervous about putting your kid in daycare? That they're going to miss you and be sad? That they might not get the attention they need to be happy and comfortable? This is the place for you. Twinkle Child is a very special preschool. Between our children, we have tried three preschools to date, and Twinkle is by far the best one in town! We've seen our normally shy child really blossom here thanks to the teachers and friends alike. The students here go on so many fun field trips and the student to teacher ratio is really low so the kids get a lot of individual attention. The teachers are all so caring and really love their jobs and we've seen virtually no teacher turnover in the two years that we've been with the school. Many of the teachers have been there for a decade plus. Almost every other day is a special event like a child's birthday celebration, a multicultural celebration, or a mother's day event for example. And the staff really goes above and beyond to celebrate these occasions. The staff takes COVID precautions very seriously with weekly RT-PCR tests for all students, masking, and daily temperature checks. On Wednesdays, the children go on optional field trips to really amazing locations as far away as Oakland and Monterrey which has been the highlight for our child. If you are looking for a standard franchise daycare to keep your child out of your hands during the workday, there are many options out there. But if you are looking for a place that your child will absolutely love and look forward to as a preschool -- this is for you. read more

The perfect place for kids to grow, learn and be loved. If feels like a family extension and our daughter is jumping of happiness the mornings she has to go to Twinkle. The place is amazing, all full of green and flowers. The spaces and toys, always inviting and in great variety. But most importantly, the teachers are the best, all caring and inviting the kids to have fun and with such a great imagination to create millions of activities for the kids to explore. We LOVE twinkle. Our daughter loves it even more (even her older sisters are jealous and say they wish they could go to twinkle) and always looks forward to going (she asks if she can go to twinkle on weekends!) she is pretty shy and takes a while to warm up so we felt so blessed and relieved to have found a place she not only feels comfortable but truly enjoys so much. Setare, the owner, clearly cares so much about the kids and is just a wonderful person. The teacher to student ratio is amazing. Their staff are super invested in the kids, they do all sorts of wonderful projects, have wonderful teachers for music and art, and do amazing events for the parents as well. They do a great job of taking photos and showing parents what the kids are up to. They also have optional field trips to basically all the best places for kids within a 90 minute radius and our daughter has had a great time on those as well. We checked out many different preschools and never had the same feeling of genuine warmth and care anywhere else- from the first visit to check it out to now. Five stars for the environment, backyard, and activities of this preschool. The facilities are wonderful and the teachers are caring and warm. However, this school has several serious downsides. 1. While it is a small school (14 kids), there are tons of rotating teachers (at least 15 teachers that I've counted), so kids may have different teachers every day of the week. In my experience, this is challenging especially in the beginning when kids need consistent contact to feel safe with teachers. 2. the school is closed 42 days out of the year. Yes, that's right, 42 days. That's a full two months scattered throughout the year, for staff development days/spring break/two summer breaks/other random holidays. That means if you are a dual-career household, you will also need to hire a nanny for the additional days in addition to the quite high tuition and fees you are paying. With so many teachers (see point number 1), you would think they would be able to be open for more days and still have adequate vacation/holidays for the teachers. 3. There are many activities my kids love, but you are required to pay fees for activities even if your kid does not enjoy them (such as etiquette classes). In my opinion, these activities and fees should be optional and kids should be able to just play in the backyard if they don't choose to attend charm classes. read more

This childcare like no other childcare I know provides tons of opportunities for children to engage in art, science, music from multiple musicians with their own teaching styles and much more! Keeping the wellbeing of the children under her care and her devoted staff, the owner, Setare, decided to re-open for in-person exclusive immersive program for a smaller group of children. The majority of activities ae happening outdoor with her friendly chickens and cats saying Hello:) from time to time. it is fun, engaging, interactive. No one wants to leave at the end of the day. Setare is a vocational educator who emmerses herself into everything she creates for the kids, parents and her teachers alike. You can't help but fall in love with with Twinkle! Most of the former Twinklers always return during summer breaks to volunteers as teacher assistants. That tells you a lot about how loving this place is! My daughter, Yael, was a part of Twinkle summer program several years in a row. She can't wait to be back! This is by far the best preschool that I have ever known. This might not be the best for all parents, but it definitely matches my philosophy of raising a toddler, that is, offering my child a happy childhood. And indeed, my kid is very happy there. Every morning, he wants to go to school. But before Twinkle, he attended another prechool in Los Altos for three months, and cried every morning to refuse to go to school. I think there are several reasons that I like Twinkle. 1. The teachers are very caring. They hug, and hold my kid very often, especially when he is sad or crying sometimes. So I do not need to worry whether my kid gets enough comfort at school. 2. Fun activities. The school offers a lot of activities, e.g., dancing, singing, morning art projects, soccer, gym. Every week, there is a school trip to zoos, museums, farms, etc. So the kid never gets bored. And it is funny that every morning, my kid says school trip today. 3. High teacher-student ratio. The ratio is 1:4 or even Higher. So they have ample resources to take care of all the kiddos. And this is especially a benefit to my kid, who speaks a different language. Due to the low ratio, my kid is exposed to English a lot, and now can speak much better than before. 4. Parties. The school organizes parties on important days, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fathers' day... They let the kids sing on the stage. I think this is very cool, and a good exercise for the kids. 5. They have academic classes to teach letters and words. They even have mad science classes. Though my kid does not appreciate it yet, other older kids seem enjoying it a lot. read more

My son loves Twinkle. My daughter, who is in 5th grade, wishes she could also attend Twinkle. Before enrolling at Twinkle, my son didn't want to go to his preschool every day. Now, he loves going to Twinkle every day. I just wish that my son can stay at Twinkle for as long as possible because our family loves Twinkle so much! 4 years ago I was lucky to come across a review at Yelp that changed our lives.... I was looking for a daycare for my 2 year old son and didn't particularly like any of the daycares that I visited. I read a review that praised Twinkle and decided to go and check out the place. From the first moment I loved the place. 4 years have passed and I wanted to give back not only to Twinkle but also to my community by writing this review. Twinkle has been an amazing adventure filled with joy, creativity, love and respect. My son, who is today a graduate of Twinkle, is a kind, confident, loving kid with amazing communication skills. I have the extreme pleasure of coming to Twinkle on a regular basis to tell stories, sing songs, do Yoga and games with the kids as Daffy Dave (children's entertainer). The staff, kids, parents and programs are wonderful! It's not a cookie cutter school and the kids have so many options to play, imagine, create, and, at the same time learn and prepare for Kindergarten and Elementary School with lots of fun academics geared for younger ages. Twinkle Twinkle is a magical place. We are in our 3rd year and now my 2nd child attends as well. The staff and Director, Setare, are amazing. It's a mixed age, which has worked great for us. TT provides all day care for kids 2+. Parents can choose 2, 3 or 5 days a week and full or part time. We have weekly Thursday fieldtrips, music, Spanish, arts, academic classes, dance and gymnastics classes, and of course lots of play. Compared to other preschools in the area, there are very few days they are closed besides the major holidays and 2 weeks off during the summer. I have checked out many of the preschools around Los Altos and I could find none that are like Twinkle Twinkle. My children are truly loved and nurtured by all of the teachers and I like the variety of activities that are offered, especially the field trips. Our daughter (2 yrs 9 months) started at Twinkle last fall (6 months back) and is absolutely loving it! She is learning new things, exploring new hobbies (arts and crafts in particular) and importantly developing strong social interaction skills! She loves her teachers so much and talks about them all the time at home. What made us select Twinkle (and can vouch for it much more now that our daughter has been there for 6 months) was seeing how happy all the kids were when we visited everytime before signing up and that still remains true. Teachers are amazing and so is the program director (Setare). The care is so personalized and genuine which is what distinguishes this pre-school from other schools. For our daughter's first venture outside of home we wanted the school to be more about individual care and learning - a place where you get the same care and attention you would get in a daycare but at a place which is curriculum / activity based and Twinkle was the perfect mashup of the two. This is by far the best day care that I know of and we feel very blessed to have found it. The biggest plus for this school is that the staff really cares and loves kids genuinely and it shows. And, kids know it also. Funny thing is that before we started going to Twinkle, we went to another school near by. My kids were crying everyday and did not want to go to the school. Now, as soon as we get to Twinkle, my kids run off to the teachers and cling-on to them like koala bears. I think kids have very keen sense of intuition and know when they are loved. My kids have been attending Twinkle for last three years and we wouldn't even think about another school. To our family, Twinkle staff is now our extended family and we could not be any happier with our decision. Whenever kids are out of school during vacation, they constantly mention that they miss Satere and their teachers and ask us to take them to the school. In terms of activities, they have very well-rounded program, not overly structured but all kinds of tools and materials to keep kids busy and have them think creatively with imagination. Our son started at Twinkle when he was two years old and he will be going to kindergarten this fall. We have seen our son blossom into happy and curious school going kid and we are so grateful to have found Twinkle for him. Twinkle offers so many activities like arts and craft,music, dance, pre-K classes, gymnastics, soccer, mad science for kids to explore and learning is play based and not rushed at all. Twinkle is a mixed age preschool; older kids learn to treat the younger ones with care (as their siblings) and younger ones learn so much from the older kids. Setare (owner) and all the teachers are very caring and loving and my son truly adores all of them; Twinkle has been a second home away from home for my son. As a working mother, I have always appreciated how much Setare and the staff go above and beyond to share with parents the special moments that kids had at school by recording videos and taking pictures. The exposure kids get at Twinkle is incredible; kids go on field trips to a variety of places..to name a few - Oakland Zoo, Gilroy Gardens, Raging water, local restaurants to bake pizza, pumpkin patches as far as half moon bay, performing arts center for plays and many more; our son eagerly looks forward to Thursdays. The best daycare/preschool ! This is our 4th year at twinkle now. My daughter went there from 2 years old to 5 yrs old. She grew tremendous skills, learned so much and most of all had so much fun. Her last year before kindergarten she was highly prepared by their amazing pre school / elementary teacher who comes to twinkle twice a week and prepare the kids for reading, writing and social skills that they will need when they enter school. Now my son is there too and loves it. He goes on field trips to museums, theatre shows, visit some animal shelters, go to all the amazing playground in the Bay Area and more. The list of things the kids do is long, they really are exposed to all kinds of experiences, discoveries and fun activities. When my daughter turned one years old, I went bat crazy and visited 24 preschools. I was a new mother. Fearful. Paranoid. What would best suit my child? Montessori? Challenger? Appleseed? Chinese Immersion? Play based? Academic based? Parent Participation? Stanford's venerable Bing Nursery School? Augh! I read 8 books on preschool education. Thank goodness I came across Twinkle Twinkle. Setareh, the owner is beyond caring, loving, and generous. She nurtures each child individually. My daughter started Twinkle Twinkle 8 months back when she was 3. She is having so much fun from day one that she did not cry even once while dropping her off. While picking her up, she never wants to go home! I think, this is enough to tell how much she is loving the Twinkle teachers and everything about the school! As a parent, I am very happy to see how she is getting introduced to the learning process in a very creative manner. Every week, there is a theme and children are introduced to it through art, crafts, pictures, songs, story, and field trip. The weekly field trip is the most favorite time of the week for all kids. They go to museum, zoo, park, and many other places. They not only learn about academic subjects like science, history, geology etc but the field trip experience also aids in their all round personality development. Another highlight of Twinkle is the festival celebration. Kids learn so much and have a lot of fun through these festival celebrations. The best part of Twinkle is the great teachers! Teacher Setare is so loving, energetic, creative, and perfectly understands every kid in the school. This review is long overdue. My oldest kid has been a Twinkler since 2016 and my youngest is about to graduate soon. This preschool is truly a gem. After exploring over ten schools, it was hard to believe that the preschool I dreamed of actually exists, but it is even better than I thought was possible. Here are just a few things among many that we really appreciate about this school: 1. Staff: Setare - the founder - and all the teachers are exceptional at what they do. They genuinely love the kids and treat them with utmost respect and kindness, while also helping them respect boundaries and build important social skills. Each teacher builds on their unique strengths. This is the only preschool I have seen in the area where 30-40% of the teachers are men who are excellent role models. The turnover is very low, and core teachers have been working there for a very long time. 2. Programs: In addition to engaging and creative free play and activities with the core teachers, kids also get to learn from other professionals who come to teach them new things (mad science, soccer, ballet, etc.) and from weekly field trips to museums, zoos, train rides, etc. Then there are cooking and pottery classes they get to visit every other week. 3. Facilities: This is a home-based preschool with a lovely large backyard with fruit trees, flowers, space ships, a tree house, you name it. It is a magnet for kids such that it is really hard to peel them off when it is time to go. The bookshelves are stocked with carefully selected books, games, all kinds of open ended toys, a dress up corner, etc. Kids freely explore their interests, whether it is curling up with a book or forming teams to dream up new games. 4. Community and Relationships: The best part of being part of Twinkle are the community and relationships within it. I loved seeing over the years how kids' friendships blossom.The mixed-age group (2-5/7 yo) enables kids to be teachers and learners at the same time. Teachers and parents are closely connected and support each other. Setare works hard to bring everyone together and it works beautifully. The only downsides are that (1) this is a small preschool so admission is very limited, and (2) it is priced higher than most other schools. However, having tried quite a few other schools, we decided that the price is worth every penny. I think Setare's natural talents in building such nurturing learning community, a team of amazing teachers, and continuous improvements they made to every aspect of the preschool over 25 years, might explain why Twinkle is such an exceptional place for kids and parents alike. read more

Our 3.5 year old son attends twinkle full time (5 days a week from 8 am - 5 pm) and our 6 year old daughter attends twice a week for after care from kindergarten Monday and Friday. We've had about 6 months experience with Twinkle and we couldn't be more satisfied. We were very spoiled at our last preschool and thought it would be impossible to find one as great when we moved away. We were wrong and Twinkle has exceeded our expectations. I have to say, both our children have loved it. The school is a very loving and stimulating environment for the kids. The student/faculty ratio is very low, they have tons of activities, field trips, and a warm/loving environment. You get a very strong sense that the teachers really love these kids. We couldn't ask for more. If you're looking for your 3 or 4 year old to have mastery of reading and calculus, this is not the school for you. Class is mixed age, so the younger and older children interact throughout the day (we love this). The school teaches age appropriate developmental skills rather than rigorous academics. This is a play based pre-school that emphasized social and emotional development. For us, this was vastly more important at this age than Harvard bound preschool tract emphasized so many places. In very short time, we've seen incredible development in our 3 year old (conflict resolution, language, reduction in tantrums, etc). We love the mixed age environment, because the child is able to see and learn behavior from older kids. When our daughter is there, she serves as a role model for younger kids. Maybe the school personnel is incompetent or ineffective in communication w patents; or they are very arrogant and have the least courtesy to at least say a reason. My daughter has been going to Twinkle Twinkle for over 5 years. She wanted to continue going to Twinkle Twinkle after starting elementary school! Setare Fathi, the owner, is an amazing woman. Twinkle Twinkle Child Care is outstanding. Imagine walking in and seeing 3 different fun craft and art activities laid out each morning for children to choose from. Each afternoon, there is story time, music, in addition to a fun outdoor play area where children can use the swings, build forts, play with the pets and have lunch. We love Twinkle, but most importantly, our 3 year old daughter loves Twinkle too! Simply stated, this is the best preschool we have been at (and we've been at 4 others). Our little one started at age two and goes three days a week, and she is always happy to go and sometimes hates to leave. Why does she hate to leave? Because it is impossible for any home to be as fun as Twinkle. Lots of fun activities and enrichment, great field trips each week, and loving staff. Great activities and projects... literally, it would be impossible to be bored here. Our almost 4-year old daughter has been going to Twinkle for a year now, and loves her school so much that it is hard to get her to leave! Twinkle is her second preschool and although the previous one was OK, the difference Twinkle has made is phenomenal --- our daughter is much happier with school, thoroughly enjoys all sorts of classes she has access to at Twinkle (pre-K, soccer, music, gymnastics, dance), and has made lots of friends there. She constantly talks about her friends and teachers at home. While looking for a preschool, our ideal setting was one where our daughter would have a play-based, loving, supportive environment to develop social skills while getting exposure to a variety of activities. Even though we had heard highly of Twinkle from close friends, it still managed to exceed our expectations at all fronts. In addition to all the different morning classes at Twinkle, there is a weekly field trip to local farms/museums/playgrounds/theaters that has kids doing everything from petting goats to getting science classes at the museum. During the afternoon, the teachers involve kids in board games, puzzles, art and craft etc, but kids also have the option of playing in the big play yard on slides/sand/bikes or just running around. Our daughter comes back with loads of art projects and dirty clothes (big plus!) everyday. The owner (Setare) and all the teachers are very loving and really know how to handle the kids (in our year there, we've rarely seen any crying kids crying at Twinkle). Setare and the staff also go out of their way to celebrate different cultures and even observe various international festivals such as Diwali in addition to Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, Christmas, events like Mother's & Father's day, and also celebrate teacher and kids birthdays. Our daughter is by now a pro at performing on stage! We really are very grateful to have found this amazing preschool and can't recommend it strongly enough! read more

My children have attended Twinkle for over 8 years. I had three children all go through Twinkle Twinkle. They have one of the lowest teacher to staff ratio 1 adult to 4 children. All of the staff is very attentive and helpful. I pop in at Twinkle at random times throughout the 8 years and have attended several field trips and the staff is excellent. Setare is amazing and has such wonderful insight with all ages of children. I love Twinkle and am proud to be part of the Twinkle Twinkle family. I think that Jennifer P. who reviewed this school on 1/27/11 must have misinterpreted the situation as field trips can be hectic at times. It's easy to misunderstand a situation when only observing for a short time. This is no way should reflect the wonderful school that Twinkle Twinkle is. read more

I love Twinkle. My husband loves Twinkle. And the most importantly, my daughter LOVES her school! She loves it so much that when I took her to tour Peninsula School for kindergarten choices, she cried out loud in front of the school's admission director, grabbed my hand tight and said, "Mommy No... I only want to go to Twinkle!" Eh, it was kind of embarrassing... Twinkle is a place full of laughters and opportunities of learning. Everyday at Twinkle is filled with fun, meaningful and creative activities. Besides the regular staffs, different subject teachers come in everyday to fill the curious minds. The kids get to touch animals and birds, do mad science, learn Spanish, etc. The house is constantly full of music, signing, dancing, magic, puppy shows, etc. Not to mention the enrichment programs and weekly field trips! It allow us time to do more family style activities over the weekends rather than driving the little one around for her activities. With an amazing 1:3 ratio, staffs are everywhere. They are either hugging, playing, making fun with the children, or they are reading, attending to children or running errands to prepare for the children. All the staffs love children from the bottom of their hearts - Ms. Read, Baby Coco, Ken, David, Abby, Thanh, Christina, Kathy, Terisita, Flor, Mayra, etc. We are so fond of each one of them. And Setare is simply a wonder woman. Kind and warm as she, she is also open and attentive to discuss matters that concern parents. She is so experienced and knows children so well. My daughter started with sever separation anxiety. Setare laid out strategies to get us started with 2 hr a day and gradually worked her towards to full time. Setare doesn't believe in cry-it-out. Though the child is very young, she said, she cannot bare the thought to let a baby's day filled with tears. It hurts her. And this is truly how Setare is. Setare always thinks of her children first. How to grow them to be the happiest and most well-rounded children on earth is really her goal. My daughter was loved, cared and nurtured so well. I didn't even know when she learned to write the full alphabets, signed her name, and all sort of things. Her imagination runs wild and fun! Stories she tells us are so advanced and matured with vocabulary and phrases and the logic that constantly shock me and my husband. Twinkle kids are kind and well mannered. Kids are kids and they love to play. But, many times hubby and I talk about how easy it is to tell the difference between Twinkle kids and others. I am so glad that I found Twinkle. I remembered filling out a questionnaire that asked for our expectation when we first started. I wrote: To let my daughter have an unforgettable childhood where her curious mind can be nurtured in a loving and caring environment. Thanks to Setare and the wonderful staffs, Twinkle lives up to my expectation in every single way. Setare treates all families as one big Twinkle family. Twinkle's parties are most amazing and are something we all look forward to. Mother's day tea party, Father's day pizza party, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas/Hanukkah, etc. Not to mention the birthday celebrations for each child. Mine eagerly awaits for the next celebration right after her 3yo birthday~ With my daughter in Twinkle, I am like re-living my childhood in the wonderland. What else can I ask for more? Twinkle Twinkle Childcare is a warm, loving, nurturing environment. Each and every teacher at Twinkle is amazing with the children and completely dedicated to the well being of every child there. You will not meet a more patient, caring and devoted staff anywhere. It is obvious by walking through the doors of Twinkle that the teachers are there because they love what they are doing. You are made to feel like family. Twinkle's staff is gifted in their ability to teach the children more than academics. They give the children the gift of self confidence, independence, love for others and benevolence. It is an environment where children feel safe and secure. I have one child who graduated from Twinkle and another who currently attends. Both my children love Twinkle and the entire staff. It is a magical environment. I have experienced other childcare facilities and Twinkle by far is the best around. I wouldn't trust leaving my children any other place. I have attended numerous fieldtrips to the Children's Discovery Museum with Twinkle as well as many other field trips to other destinations. All the children are well attended to and well behaved. I never experienced what Jennifer P. described in her review. Do they sometimes get excited and act like children? Yes. Do they sometimes cry? Yes. Don't all children. From my experience on field trips the children are well mannered and very well tended to. If there are any behavioral issues I always witnessed the staff addressing the issues immediately. The children adore the field trips. And aside from the shear enjoyment of field trip days the children learn about companionship, generosity, culture, literature and the world around them. Every day I can see the many gifts my eldest child learned from the devoted staff at Twinkle Twinkle Childcare. He has developed into a caring, compassionate person because of his experience at Twinkle. And my youngest child is learning in the same manner. We are so lucky to be a Twinkle family! Our daughter started at Twinkle at 3 and continued there through Kindergarten with aftercare. Now our son is there (started at 2) and is about to enter Kindergarten and attend for aftercare. Twinkle has been such a wonderful place for our children to grow and learn. There are so many wonderful activities from arts and crafts, to circle time with performers, to free play, and wonderful field trips. Every week the kids have a new theme and learn about everything from dinosaurs to outer space. They do creative projects that help them learn all about the theme and incorporate learning of shapes, colors, letters and numbers. My daughter was wonderfully prepared for a rigorous elementary school from Twinkle and I know my son will be the same. Twinkle brings in additional electives for the kids including soccer, tumbling, music, dance, and Pre-K. The Pre-K program has been exceptionally valuable for us and taught our kids to read and write and make learning fun. The field trips are very educational and the kids look forward to each one. From local trips like the dentists office and the supermarket, to all that the bay area has to offer like Gilroy Gardens, the SF Zoo, Palo Alto Junior Museum, Discovery Museum, the Twinklers get to do it all. I kind of wish I could go there myself! And I shouldn't miss the wonderful holiday celebrations that Twinkle offers. The children practice songs and perform for parents and family, giving them wonderful exposure to music and performance from an early age. We love celebrating the holidays with the other Twinkle families that we've become close with over the years, from Diwali to Hanukkah to Christmas. And my favorite, Mother's Day, where the kids serve the moms sandwiches and pastries to celebrate. It's a wonderful time and we all feel very spoiled. While my older children are sadly aging out of Twinkle, I can't wait for my 3rd (and 4th on the way!) to follow their brother and sister there shortly. My daughter is a 2005 alumni of this wonderful and caring place. She started attending 2 days a week just before her 2nd birthday. She was at Twinkle until kindergarten. She had such a great time with this extended family that she is now a volunteer. She would spend all her summer at Twinkle if she could. The little ones simply adore her. Love all around. read more

We looked around for several months trying to find the right school for my son. We loved Twinkle when we visited it. The school has excellent, engaging staff, very loving and caring. The teachers are not just supervisors, unlike what we saw in other day cares. Setare the owner is a fabulous person, super duper energetic and creative. There are 3-4 external performers which come to the school regularly. So there is lot's of music and movement and story telling. This place is filled with laughter, fun and learning. Lot's of activities, lot's of passion and lot's of play too. Field trips every week which are very enjoyable for the kids. The school has a green and beautiful front and back play yards. Just too many things to explore in the play yards. The child to teacher ratio is like 4:1, which is very rare. Teachers are very devoted and the love what they do. read more
