These service department needs help. I would not take my vehicle here for work. They are extremely overpriced and do not communicate.

I purchased my 2014 Ford Explorer from Ed Koehn in Rockford on November 22nd. Approximately three…read morehours after purchasing the vehicle, it experienced a long crank upon starting. I brought it back to the Rockford dealership on Monday morning, where they refused to address the issue. I then took the vehicle to Ed Koehn in Wayland, where they replaced the fuel pump under the warranty (I paid the $100 deductible). I drove the car for two days, after which the long crank issue returned. I contacted the Wayland location and was instructed to bring the vehicle back for re-diagnosis. I dropped it off on Monday, December 29th. The dealership had my car for a total of five weeks. During this time, communication was minimal unless I initiated contact. After several weeks, they reported that all six fuel injectors were bad, stating they believed the previous owners had used the wrong type of gasoline. One employee informed me that the warranty would cover the repair so we said they had the go-ahead to tear the engine down. After several days of hearing nothing, I called again and spoke with a different employee who told me the warranty company was not covering the repair and that they would complete the work for a discounted rate of $1,000. I questioned how I could be held responsible for damage allegedly caused by the previous owner, especially since the dealership's website states that all vehicles undergo a thorough inspection prior to sale. I was told the vehicle was sold "as is" and that they would not cover the repair. At this point, I no longer trusted their diagnosis after obtaining another professional opinion. I was charged an additional $120 for the teardown, which I only authorized because I was falsely told it would be covered by the warranty. When I went to pick up my vehicle last week--after five weeks--it had approximately 16 inches of snow on it, indicating it had not been started or driven in several weeks. Upon starting the car, the check engine light was on and the vehicle was misfiring. When I initially dropped it off, the car was fully drivable aside from the long crank issue. There was no check engine light and no misfire. At this point, I have driven the vehicle for a total of two days and three hours and have paid an additional $220 with absolutely no resolution. I now have to pay for a tow truck to take the vehicle to a different mechanic to avoid damaging the catalytic converter. I have attempted to go through the chain of command with no resolution. I am absolutely disgusted and heartbroken by how this situation was handled. I come from a family of Ford loyalists--my father dedicated 18 years of service to Ford. However, due to this experience, I will not be purchasing any future vehicles from Ed Koehn and will be advising family and friends to do the same. I understand that I purchased a used vehicle, but when you buy from a well-known dealership, you expect some level of protection when serious issues arise within three hours of ownership. This entire experience has been a headache, compounded by poor communication and inconsistent information from multiple employees. I would strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from any Ed Koehn dealership.

So I called to varify, I was told yes I was a contest winner per varification code, to come to dealership to speak with contest coordinator 'Kelly'. Once I arrived I was informed that the ticket I had 'which plainly had three bags of money in a row' was no good yet I qualified for a smart watch.....I left and hence this revue, for I dont see how anyone would buy any type of auto from such a dishonedt and decieving business. I strongly advise to steer clear from this business and seek more appropiate services elseware if you are in search of an auto....

Review of General RV in Wayland, Michigan…read more We recently had the pleasure of working with General RV in Wayland, Michigan, and overall, it was a very positive experience. Here's a detailed breakdown of what stood out and a few areas where there's room for improvement. What Stood Out Wide Range of Options: General RV offers an impressive variety of choices, from their "Keep You Camping" program - considered an "industry differentiator" because it prioritizes your ability to use your RV during peak camping season and educates owners on what truly needs immediate attention versus what can wait - to various extended warranties. Their willingness to work with customers and tailor options to individual needs really sets them apart. Exceptional Team Members * Marcus (Salesperson Extraordinaire): Marcus was fantastic. He patiently answered all our questions and helped us secure a great price. His expertise and knowledge of the industry as a whole, honesty and friendly approach made the buying process smooth and enjoyable. We appreciated all of his tips and tricks while test driving and found his insight and attention to detail refreshing! * Justin (Financier and "Cliff Talker Offer"): Justin was incredibly patient with all our questions, especially when we raised concerns about General RV's service department Yelp rating. He walked us through the financing options clearly and helped us understand everything thoroughly. * Aaron (Parts Specialist): Aaron was straightforward and helpful, providing a clear list of must-have, nice-to-have, and cool items for our RV. His no-nonsense attitude was refreshing and very useful. I love that he did not try to sell us things we didn't need and answered lots of questions about water systems and electricity! * Jim (Walk-Through Expert): Jim gave us a thorough walk-through of the RV and explained all the features in detail, ensuring we felt confident with our purchase. * Andrew (Insurance Specialist): Andrew was amazing at finding the best insurance coverage and deductible combination within our budget. His expertise made a complicated process much easier. * Front Desk Team: The ladies at the front desk were attentive and helpful throughout. Even though they initially spelled our name incorrectly, they quickly fixed it and kept the atmosphere light with some friendly teasing. Areas for Improvement While the overall experience was great, the cleanliness and attention to detail inside the RV could use some work. There were small issues like the time wasn't set on the clock, dried chunky caulking around the outside lights and smeared on a window, and a receptacle so dusty that I initially thought its color was off. Improving these small details would elevate the customer experience significantly. Final Thoughts General RV in Wayland offers excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, and a variety of helpful programs that make RV ownership easier and more enjoyable - especially for a first time buyer. With a bit more focus on the finishing touches and cleanliness, they would be absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for an RV.

I do not recommend this dealership…read more First, the coating package is a complete scam. They advertise one price, but once all the additional fees are added, you end up paying almost double. Save your money and don't buy it. The sales process was also very disappointing. The salesperson kept adding extra products and services, making the final price much higher than expected. I felt pressured into purchasing things I didn't really need. The biggest issue was that the salesperson assured me my current truck was capable of towing the camper. After I took delivery, I found out that wasn't true. I ended up having to replace my truck just to tow the camper I had purchased. I feel like I was misled, and that was extremely frustrating. To make matters worse, the very first time I used the camper, my vacation was ruined. The fresh water system appeared to be contaminated, with what looked like bug eggs in the water tanks, and the water coming out of the faucets had a terrible smell. I had to spend a good part of my trip on the phone with customer service trying to get help. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was just as disappointing. The representative I spoke with was rude and unhelpful, and the woman at the front desk treated customers with very little respect. It felt like they didn't care about resolving the issues after the sale. Overall, this has been one of the worst purchasing experiences I've had. I would not recommend doing business with this dealership. I hope my review helps others avoid the same headaches, unexpected expenses, and poor customer service that I experienced.

So I happened upon Dylan's business on Facebook when I was shopping for a new car. I was searching…read morefor a Honda Pilot specifically and found one from DMS Automotive at a good price, but when I contacted the business, Dylan explained that the vehicle was pending sale and would sell later that day. As a consolation, he told me that he had several other Pilots currently in the shop that were being rebuilt. He explained to me that the nature of his business was to purchase vehicles that needed rebuilt enginges & transmissions, fix them up and sell them. I was intrigued so I continued the conversation and eventually agreed to put a down payment on one of these Pilots. Dylan told me that the vehicle has 212000 miles on it but they were installing an engine and trans with 87000 miles. He also explained that there would be a limited 1 year warranty issued by DMS Automotive placed on the engine and transmission should there be any issues with the work done on the vehicle. I thought, this sounds like a good deal and felt safe knowing there would be a warranty. Well I was a bit careless and bought the vehicle without thoroughly inspecting it, and the "warranty" that was issued to me was a handwritten piece of yellow legal pad. I also signed a purchase agreement that states I'm agreeing to buy the car "as is". I asked Dylan repeatedly to print or email the complete terms of the limited warranty, and he claimed that either his laptop wasn't working, his printer wasn't working, or that someone else who works for him was unable to attach the file to an email. I asked, can I get the file from your computer on a flash drive? He claimed not to understand how a flash drive works. It is indeed a 2003 Honda Pilot but the 4WD doesn't work, cruise control doesn't work, and check engine light came on immediately calling for issues in the transmission. I called Dylan about the check engine light and asked for his help, he said we should change out the transmission fluid and filter and go from there. I made multiple appointments with him to inspect the issues and he never showed up, making excuses as to why he was unable to come. I have not spoken with him in weeks and it seems as thought he has blocked my phone number because it goes straight to voicemail every time I try to call. I have had the transmission fluid changed, which was extremely dirty, and the oil level in my engine was low, so I am skeptical at this point as to whether or not a different transmission or engine was actually installed in this vehicle. My assumption now is that I purchased a 2003 Honda Pilot with 212000 miles at the blue book value of a Pilot with 87000 miles. The car drives, but slips occasionally in low gears. Needless to say, I was hoping to acquire a vehicle that didn't need thousands more dollars spent in repairs upon purchase, and I feel that Dylan was dishonest and intentionally sold me a vehicle with known issues and then cut off his communication with me.
