    Cuban sandwich
    Nathalie C.

The place had a nice ambiance, colorful lighting, lots of seating, lots of drink and food options. We got the garlic Parmesan wings which I thought was delicious, lots of garlic and Parmesan, chicken was juicy and fried perfectly. The Thai basil seasoning was terrible. It tasted burnt, I don't know how to explain the flavor but DO NOT GET IT. I recommend going for basic flavors as I do think the wings are pretty good. Their Hawaiian pineapple fried rice is good too, had the right amount of seasoning. The nacho was decent, wish they had nacho cheese in it, it was just okay, but it had all the toppings you need. My friends ordered the Cuban sandwich and they said it was very salty. I realized some of their food really is salty just an FYI. Don't know if I'll come again but glad I tried this place.

Example of SPAM musubi with poor SPAM to rice ratio. Notice size of SPAM slice compared to amount of rice.

Haven't been here since they first opened a way long time ago in 2011, 2012 maybe. The Twisted Limed didn't make a good first impression back then both in service and most definitely the menu. But here we are, 2025 and with time to kill decided to give this neighborhood watering hole another go. First off, since we were there during the day it wasn't too busy which was kinda nice. Because it's kind of a small pub it would be horribly crowded, even with their outside seating on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Lotsa T.V. with sports and nice island-style tunes with a noise level where you can have a conversation w/o having to repeat yourself or yell. Service was good, mostly due to the time of day, light crowd, so we were able to sit where we wanted, given menus, ordered drinks. Our server was personable, made regular check ins and food time from order to service was perfect. Now what motivated me to write this review was mainly because of the food. Because honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. With the Island /Hawai'i thing being their theme, some of their menu that reflected that. So I decided I'd give some of my island favorites a try, of course with some lowered expectations. I mean I've eaten at some local island/Hawaiian places here in Western Washington run by islanders that were subpar and some cases bad. The meals I gauge would the loco moco and spam musubi. So at the Twisted Lime, that's what ordered. Wifey had a big ol' plate of their Nacho Mama. Her take, loved it. Perfect as not so much stuff on it to make the chips all soggy, go good amount of toppings, nice crisp chips and the guacamole, super tasty. My meal, I was pleasantly surprised. The musubi was excellent. That being a good SPAM to rice ratio, nice strip of nori and good flava. In case you wonder, most good musubi should have a piece of SPAM at least 1/2 thick, and rice 3x that. Place that cheap out give a sliver of SPAM and a butt-ton of rice. Examples of poorly made musubi: the ones they make at Town and Country Market in Mill Creek and Marination at T-Mobile. If you like 'em from those places, good on you. But if you ever had a well made, well proportioned one, you'll never go back. Examples of local perfect musubi: Sushi Spott so far has my number one spot, but Hawaiian Sun in Everett, and as of this review, Twisted Lime has damn good musubi. Now for their Loco Moco. First off, damn fine presentation, second off, "ONO GRINDZ". I wouldn't say broke da mout, but pretty damn close. Good proportions of rice, good amount of gravy with good flava, two beef patties, also with good flava and a nice egg over-easy. My only comments are, 1. For their loco moco price ($18), only one egg? I know that most loco mocos I've made or ordered, standard (especially in Hawai'i), two eggs brah! 2. If you wanna do the whole Aloha theme, Hawaiian mac is a standard/complementary side of any Hawaiian meal. Not something to be added to the price. Any plate lunch includes Hawaiian mac. Seriously, Google Search images. Kinda like burgers, fries should always be included, so bravo to the places that do that and shame on the ones that charge over $10.00 for a burger and don't include fries. 3. For a neighborhood bar, I'm surprised it isn't family friendly for a time. Example, the Savage Moose in Kenmore, sports bar, FF until 2100 hours. 4. No smoking or vaping in the outdoors seating? It's.....outdoors. It's not like you're out there for the view unless you enjoy the view of other businesses and a neighborhood street. But whatever. Bottom line, the food tasted good and didn't disappoint. Good solid service (can't speak to when it gets crazy busy). Star lost on the above comments, but otherwise I would definitely go there again. If anything I'm now curious of how their Kalua Pork is, comparatively speaking to what I know is good Kalua Pork.

Just loved this place the ambiance and vibes were amazing . Drinks were great and small portions were great too...it's based on Hawaiian theme just loved everything about it. Service was slow on food but drinks came fast. Definitely worth the visit be ware it's small and cute one so you might need to wait couple of times

Wings Thai Basil and Caribbean Jerk

Looking for Hawaiian style food? Seems to be the place to go. We have not been here since they reopened and I have to say it was a 180. The first time we came in here we felt out of place and did not like the overall vibe. This time around having the tropical Hawaiian theme I loved it. For the decor to the music it just had a great feel to it. Our server/bartender was awesome(I think Sean?). He was very energetic, friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place just for his outstanding service. We ordered a couple things. Wings hands down were the winner and I can't wait to go back and try other flavors. Perfectly crunchy, Thai Basil won over the Caribbean jerk. The Mac salad was decent and the musubi had some seasoning on the rice that just made it. We have put off going here for a long time after our first wxoerience years back, but we will be back soon to work our way through the entire menu as it all looked bomb.

Long time since I have done a review but this might be my new watering hole. If your looking for a great atmosphere, drinks are amazing and the staff are awesome. They have everything you are looking for, outdoor seating but it is raining (go figure it's Washington). If you want pull tabs they got it, plenty of parking and did I tell you that it is just a great place! Oh yeah I forgot plenty of tv's for the Seahawks game. So go see Teryn and tell her Nicole said hi

What a great find!! We've lived here over 2 years and had no idea Twisted Lime Pub offered much more than bar food options. My husband ordered chicken tacos, sandwich, and hand cut fries. He enjoyed each item, and I appreciated the lack of old cooking oil odor; thank you for preparing FRESH and great QUALITY food!! Although the options are plentiful for most, there are very little options for vegetarians (not a big deal.) Ideal customer service, and take out orders are prepared relatively quickly (even with staff shortage.) Depending on what time you arrive parking can be challenging as the parking lot is shared with other businesses. If you're in Bothell seeking a bar and that offers great food Twisted Lime Pub is your place; we will definitely return and recommends.

We started with the pumpkin tempura. It was crispy on the outside, with a naturally sweet pumpkin inside. It was really delicious. It came with a dipping sauce, though the portion felt quite small. The side of lettuce and a chunk of purple cabbage felt a bit odd presentation wise, but once we wrapped everything together and dipped it, it tasted great. For my main, I ordered the vegan herb tofu salad with medium spice. It was mostly fried tofu tossed in a herb dressing with mint, tamarind, and cilantro. The flavor was a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy. It honestly reminded me a bit of pani puri. That said, the sweetness was a bit overpowering and made the dish slightly sticky. If they toned that down, it would be perfect. We also tried the vegan 17th curry fried rice, which was good. The curry flavor was subtle. My toddler absolutely loved it. Overall, I would recommend this place, especially for vegans. The food was good, with the only downside being that some dishes leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. The service was okay, not exceptional, but not bad either. I had visited this place about three years ago on a busy Friday night and had a pretty poor service experience, so I wanted to give it another shot on a weekday. The food has improved, and the service was decent this time around.

La Gloria is the exception. Reviews glow, but since you have seen my score, it's clear there is room for improvement. Once seated, we were served a Tostada. This was a single small fried tortilla with beans, cabbage and salsa. Probably cost less than $.25 in material, but sells for around $7. Now whenever, I talked to my God Mother, rest in peace, about a new Mexican restaurant, her first question was always the same, "How were the Frijoles?". These beans were creamy, well-seasoned and flavorful. The best refried beans I've tasted in some time. I still say the appetizer is overpriced, but I also see why they serve you one free for dining in. We started with chips and salsa. I still say, they should be free, but at $4, it's a little tough to complaint, but I will. The chips came on a dinner plate. A dinner plate of chips would be about the same size as a restaurant basket of chips, however, there was a large bowl big enough for soup with the smallest amount of salsa in it. So now, 25% of that surface space is gone. This bowl which most likely holds 16 oz has about 3 ounces of salsa, in it and 1/3 of the plate space is empty, So you have enough chips for one person and barely enough salsa for dipping. The salsa was also tart, no heat, no seasoning, we were very disappointed. Last, if you charge me for chips and salsa, it better be bottomless, but once the chips were gone, they removed the plate and bowl without offering to refill either. There were a couple items that looked good to me, but they both had squash. Sorry, I've never heard of squash in Mexican food, unless it's vegan, but maybe it's popular in the region this family is from. Rather than ask if it could be removed, I decided to go with the Carnes Asada. The food took a while to arrive, but they said everything is made from scratch and fresh, so I anticipated a meal worthy of El Presidente himself! Now, clearly this place was not without its flaws, but this was the best Carne Asada I've ever tasted. I was really skeptical, because it was thick cut and when Carna Asada is thick cut certain things tend to happen, it's not cooked evenly, the meat isn't seasoned well enough, so bites end up being bland. No, this was juicy, well-seasoned and cooked evenly, flawless. It also came with a generous scoop of guacamole, that didn't really impress. It was also served with Fried Cheese, no idea what that is, sounds like something served at the fair on stick. I got several tortillas that were hot and fresh and a small cup of whole beans that could have used some crumbled cheese on top. There was also a large portion of rice, but the flavor was a bit fishy. I don't know if they used a seafood broth, but for me it was inedible. There was also a smoky, spicy salsa served, but again, it was a tablespoon. Stop being so cheap with the salsa! This also would have been a far better salsa to go with chips than what was served. Glad I tasted everything, but not sure I would order it again. I didn't eat half of what was served do to taste which means I overpaid. If we do make it back, it would probably be for happy hour. That way we could sample a couple other items in a smaller portion for less. Would I recommend this place, sure, but not without the above cautions included. I like to clean my plate and feel like I got a deal, neither happened here due to some questionable choices in flavor or seasoning. The people could not have been nicer, but I can't say we left completely satisfied.
