Caveat: We steered clear of this place after they first opened as it was riddled with douchebags. I heard that there were new owners AND they had Hawaiian food. So we recently gave them another shot. But the most important part was he had to deal with a whole gaggle of what I can only describe as the "Real Housewives of Mill Creek", who assumed rules didn't apply to them. Got word that Twisted Lime serves .75 tacos every Tuesday and I was there!!! One word of advise, try not to go with a big group because seating is definitely a problem! Took a good amount of time to get a seat for 7 people. But aside from that, the service is good and QUICK! We ordered tacos, and had them in a matter of minutes! They have hard or soft (soft tacos are $1.50 each!) You can choose from pork, chicken or beef. I had 3 chicken tacos. Chicken were pretty bland, but once I doused them with tapitio they were A-OK! My husband got the pork tacos. Much better flavor profile, but I did not want to mess with my wussy stomach. So chicken it is! They also had pitchers of IPAs for $14. That is a steal!!! Was trying to find a good wing spot for the start of my babes birthday weekend... and I have to say the twisted lime diddnt disappoint the food was great, the service was quick and attentive and we came at the 10 happy hr during karaoke and had no issues ... happy hour portions are still huge, apps are big enough to share with two or three people... we got Mac and cheese, steak sandwich the fish taco's(so big I had to eat them with a fork) tater tots....and of course a couple orders of wings all of which came out quickly, hot fresh and cooked perfectly. Twisted Lime might be worth a look as a local watering hole if you live in the area. Other than that I say avoid mostly due to limited food selection and overall value. Food & Drink: The menu here is extremely limited. You've got a couple of sandwiches/burgers, flat bread pizzas, and salads. The sandwiches and burgers are small and below average. The pizzas rate a little higher as you've got some unique topping choices. I enjoyed my taco salad, but at a price point of $11.00 I felt ripped off. Your chop-chop salad is going to run in the same price range. The draw here appears to be the appetizers, which again makes sense for the theme of the place My problem: The value. Five wings will cost you $9.00! Spinach dip will run you $9.00! Chips and salsa, one of the most basic no-overhead type items? $5.00! I have no problem plopping down a chunk of change for a good meal, but for basic appetizers, this is honestly highway robbery. The one value priced item is probably the nachos which sit at $9.00. There's a full bar here, with some decent mixed drinks that are geared to the Island theme. Drinks here are overpoured a bit, but are not a bad value and the presentation is good. The beer list is, not surprisingly, headed up by Kona beers. When I visited they had an Iron Horse Hef to go along with Mac & Jack's and the standard domestics. The beer list, probably because of the theme, is heavily tilted to lighter beers. The only dark was a Kona Stout. Ambiance & Service: Located off of Seattle Hill Road in Mill Creek, it's an odd location and draws a 40 - 50 age crowd. The establishment is on the end of a strip mall, and is bigger than it feels. Problem is, because of the layout, there's a lot of wasted space in the back. Stepping in you feel like you're in Southern California, almost like a Wahoos, or a bar in a Cali beach town. The lighting is good. The bar is decently designed, and the TVs are visible from virtually every seat in the house. They do a nice job of keeping the table/chair areas uncramped. That said, the decor is a little on the cheesy side and could have been done better. The bathrooms are one person only for both the men and women (a little strange). I'll even rip the jukebox a bit, as it's pretty limited in the selection and a very odd mix of selections at that. Best part of the place, along with the bar and viewing angles is probably the fact you've got normal everyday people in here. Service is a bit suspect, but I get the distinct impression that if you were a regular you'd be treated pretty well. For the rest of us, with the amount of staff you'd expect a good amount of interaction and care, but in reality the staff seem busy and flying around. It's not a question of numbers, it seems to be a question of efficiency. Bottom line, if you don't flag someone down, you're going to be waiting a while for food, drinks, or even a menu. When flagged down the servers are friendly. I'd rate the bartending around average. Final Thoughts: There's something to be said about visiting a non-dingy watering hole in suburbia not frequented by young punks or a bunch of hipsters. The staff is friendly and on top of things, the vibe and decorations are fun, and whats makes it even better is that they have live music playing regularly too! Wow. This place has gone dramatically down hill since I first Yelped it almost a year ago. The menu is just skeletal now - only 4 sandwiches to choose from, a couple pizzas and that's it... Total disappointment. So, I asked our waitress tonight whether she recommended the chicken burger or the turkey sandwich, and this is exactly what she said: "I've honestly never eaten anything off the menu here. I'm a picky eater. The other waitress would be a better person to ask." To me, this translates into, "I'm a picky eater so I won't eat the crap they serve here." She spent the rest of her time talking to a few girls who were obviously friends of hers seated near us. She did not make the rounds with patrons or ask us why the majority of our food went uneaten or why we didn't even want boxes to bring it home. We ordered happy hour nachos that were o.k, but they did not arrive with the pulled pork we asked for. Average. It took three tries to get a beer, since every time we ordered one they were "out" or a substitute was in place. I had a turkey sandwich that was supposed to be "piled high atop a bed of lettuce", and although it was fairly tasty, it certainly wasn't anything special, and their "bed of lettuce" was literally one leaf. My hubby ordered a burger and the meat is different than it used to be, and for lack of a better word, it just tasted weird. We both thought so. He left half of it uneaten. The main reason why I never went inside was because the windows are covered with bamboo and you can't see inside; I wasn't sure what to expect. My coworker kept telling about this place, raving about the karaoke, drinks, and fun atmosphere. I'm glad I took his recommendation to give the Twisted Lime a try. When my sister and I first walked in, I noticed a good mix of age groups. I was expecting to find a more older crowd because it's located in the heart of suburbia. It was a nice surprise. They have a good selection of food and drinks. My sister and I were going to each order our own plate of nachos - glad we took the suggestion of our waitress to share the dish instead because the portion of the nachos were huge!!! And it was really good. We also ordered the High Seas Hurricane drink that had a delicious tropical, pineapple flavor. By the end of the night they were playing some loud bumpin music, which is a nice change from some of the other restaurant/bars in the area. The staff was great - very friendly and provided excellent service. As for the food selection, I was expecting a smaller selection with typical bar food like fries and wings, seeing that the Twisted Lime is a pub. They had so much more than that, so I'm not sure why some of the other reviewers are complaining about having a limited food selection. They had an insane amount of TVs in this place. Totally loved it!! Definitely coming here for game day! My sister and I had a lot of fun at this place and the atmosphere was great. We all have bad days but this guy then made us take IDs out checked them like a detective and the tossed them on the table. We were a group of six ready to have fun. And spend money. For food, we got the Twisted Tacos and the pepperoni pita pizza. The pizza was honestly tiny and wasn't very good- so I wouldn't recommend ordering that. Ours was also burnt which didn't help. The pork twisted tacos, on the other hand, were great!! The pork was so juicy and the signature sauce on them was great, as was the salsa they served with them. Yesterday my fiancé and I got out of the house for our first date night since becoming new parents 4 months ago. When we got in the bar it was clearly busy, no biggy, my fiancé and I just waited and chit chatted about our plans for the weeks, few minutes later the main bartender acknowledged us after a line of customers where almost out the door (roughly 8 people) He let us know he was busy, we said we understood and just wanted a quick drink not to worry. We chose to sit at the bar, and I asked for a shot recommendation and gave him ideas of what I enjoyed (I ask this at every bar I go to and have never had an issue) he told me they weren't that kind of bar.... Odd since I've been their with girlfriends before and never had an issue being recommended a new drink to try. He then checks our IDs as we order, and he throws my fiancé's ID back at him... hmm mmmk, my patience is wearing thin at this point. He finally comes back with a drink he wanted to recommend me and it's literally just a normal 8 OZ drinking cup filled 1 inch above with whip cream from bottom of cup to top. With a shot glass with maybe half a shot of baileys hiding in between, he kept repeating to hands free take the shot, as patrons pointed out he was trying to make a fool of me. Long story short, as a new mom just needing a night out with my fiancé I was unsatisfied with this experience. I asked multiple people I know that frequent twisted lime if this is normal behavior as I've only been a handful of times, for even my own bartender friends who go there to point out he was obviously purposely being rude. I was spoiled at an early age with the original Philly style cheesesteaks so was a little skeptical but I am very pleased that I ordered the cheese steak at twisted lime. So flavorful, nice and juicy and with the cheese they added a little bit gooey too so it was very very very very good and I highly recommend it. We just moved to the area and are close to Twisted Lime Pub. Due to Covid we mainly order pick up but I have been very impressed with the food so far. The burgers are great and the waffle fries are crispy and on point. I've had several flat breads that don't cease to deliver. Everything has been wonderful and the staff very friendly. Defiantly a place I can see myself coming with friends, once I make some out here on a Friday/Sat night. The server/bartender guys are awesome and in good spirits. But when I do, the food is good and the atmosphere is chill. Note: When requesting "lava wings", the cooks don't know the difference between "a little spicier" and "utterly inedible". Today was disappointing...I had options and I chose wrong. I was in Mill Creek to see the doc, all I really wanted was some great Fish and Chips. After my appointment, I googled "The Best F&C in MC'...It listed several great spots, but for some reason The Twisted Lime caught my eye. I know service, I know food. Unfortunately, I won't be discussing the food here. The service which appeared to start off on the right foot went down hill in a hand-basket. The server was nice, friendly and delivered my beverage in decent time. She seemed to know most of the folks in the pub, which appeared to be regulars and a 'locals' hangout. Cool, no problem. But when you ask someone " Would you like to see a menu?" and then float off spending more time engaged in each 'local' conversation than you do scanning your tables and remembering to serve, then you've lost me...Yeah, I can be patient and I was....But 20 minutes I sat there with this menu on the table ....waiting... with 5 of those minutes 'dry'...Finally, she came by and asked (as she was rushing along)," Want another beer?" I said, 'Just a bill.." to which she replied, "Ok another beer" To which I replied, " NO THE BILL!"....I was really looking forward to my one day off and the treasure of finding a great new spot with some kick-ass fish and chips...The menu looked great and for a pub was innovative and food forward with a tropical food shack vibe. My friend and I went here after checking their Yelp reviews. We did not have a good time at all. The food and drinks were average The bartenders were rude and unfriendly, when we tried asking them for recommendations on drinks etc. Our waitress was decent ,but we did not feel welcome and it was an unfriendly vibe all over with guests and staff. No one welcomed us when we walked in and the experience just went downhill from there. We left soon after a drink and took our business else where. They have something going on all nights of week whether it's karaoke, goldfish races or beer pong tournaments, and their happy hour is amazing... the chicken ceasar and street tacos are my favorite! I have to pop by at least once a week. The owner Greg is a great guy and very involved with everything going on. They have a lot of regulars there but it's not clicky at all.
