I recently had my conch pierced. I noticed after about two weeks, that the back of the earring was almost being pushed into my ear which is also extremely painful. Make NO MISTAKE, this was not my fault. this is due to not having the proper piece of jewelry put in my ear to avoid this type of situation from happening. So, when I came in to let S&S know about my ear, (I also was not greeted when coming in, per the norm) Alex immediately proceeded to blame me and asked me if I have been properly cleaning it. No apology, nothing but crudeness and rudeness And not taking responsibility for their mess up!! Regardless, if I had been cleaning the ear properly or not, it does not negate from the fact that the wrong type of jewelry back was put into my ear, which led to this inflammation and also led to them having to replace the back of my earring. Alex made it out to be like this was my fault and my doing instead of taking responsibility and apologizing to me like she should've done. Honestly, though, I should've expected that type of behavior from her, given her past behavior towards me. And when I saw another review on Google that someone left that had their conch pierced, and went through the same exact thing that I went through, is a big to me that this happens often with this business. All of the staff here have been super kind aside from Alex. From day one, which was over two years ago when I started coming to S&S, I've always thought she's had an attitude; immediately judging you as soon as you walk in the doors.....that's the type of "welcome wagon" she greets you with. I Have never, not once, heard her ask me when I come in "how are you today?" Or "hey, what would you like to get done today?" Regardless of how busy they have been or not, there's a thing called courtesy and respect. Something she clearly doesn't want to give anyone but herself. I just cannot get over how much she treated that entire situation like it was my Fault that my earring was being pushed into the back of my skin the way it was. That's a big nope. ‍ Her attitude is a poor reflection of her character Which also reflects against this business.

I had a left nipple piercing done in Beverly Massachusetts, and it was a terrible experience. The piercer went into the Arreola, and it's off centered, still hasn't healed. I was reluctant to have the right nippy pierced, but I did, and it's perfect. The tragus piercing was quick as well. Both had pain, I'm not gonna lie, but both were quick. I promptly shut it and let them do it. They healed fine The next time I went in was to get my third piercing on my lobes. Should be an easy healing process and less painful. These piercings NEVER healed because the staff pierced my ears very low and poorly. Also beware they make you ONLY pay in cash and need to use their atm that has a $5 reduction fee when you withdraw money to pay. Mean atmosphere Do not recommend

I didn't buy their cleaning solution after and was able to keep mine from getting infected. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with the piercing itself. I came with another group of friends for their piercings a different time after. The man who did pierce us the last time helped with my friends with their paperwork and a woman pierced them instead. There was no pressure and I liked that she gave me input on my choices. Jonathan was my piercer. He is OUTSTANDING. Prior to starting my session, he and blake gave me recommendations on placement. I appreciate that they do this, it shows that care about the client! They could pierce any body part but they choose to be intentional to set up the client for success. I didn't post a review when this happened, but I am now in case this guy, Jason, goes to get a job at another tattoo shop, they will know what kind of person he is. I went to Shanghai Tattoo to get a simple tattoo about 6 years ago, on the recommendation of a coworker. Jason (I see from other reviews that his name is Lightfoot) kept making sexually suggestive comments, which made me uncomfortable. I was 30 at the time, but looked a lot younger. When I told him that I had a boyfriend, he said he could lock the door & do stuff to make me forget all about my boyfriend. I told him I changed my mind & wanted to leave. He acted like he was going to block my way & I said very loudly, I AM LEAVING! He let me pass & I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I wish I had reported it to the police or the BBB or at least left a review then but the entire thing shook me up so bad, I just wanted to forget it. A friend of mine (who knew what had happened) saw him online, harassing women & asked if that was him (it was). I felt I needed to warn other women. This guy is predatory & should not be working with the public.
