The way in which they have their information layed out was easy to follow and intriguing. There were 3 floors so many different places to stop and read about aviation. Outside in the gated area, there were 10 or more planes that you can actually go into and touch. One of them, the Ryan international, is fully open and has the original seats in it as well. Not to mention, there are a ton of planes inside the building as well. One of the best parts about this museum is the lookout area in the middle of the building that has a 360 view around the building.

The gift shop is so little and that is fine but it is difficult to herd the guests and the tour guide we had was really knowledgable. The house is nice and I think the normal tour is the one people should opt for because it covers what you want anyway. The best part, they accommodated us last minute and I really appreciate that. I wish that the gift store had enamel pins :)

I must applaud the flexibility of the staff. I booked an 11:30 tour as the 1pm only had 1 spot left. I called the morning and they allowed us to change and take the 1pm tour instead which allowed us to make everyone happy and take care of our responsibilities. Huge house with a lot of history - in terms of Wright homes, I would put this in the upper half of the ones we have toured. Lots of family history pieces and extra information included - though the other people taking the tour were so concerned with showing how intelligent they were in a falsified humble manner - it took away from the experience. Tour guide with the glasses and white hair was great. Informative and good natured all around. Another one off the list.

We found that was not the case, and this museum was one of the hidden gems. The quaint little self-serve museum sits on the Wichita State University campus grounds. The doors are unlocked at 9am. One you open the door, the lights automatically turn on, and you're free to roam! Keep in mind that this is a very tiny museum, but if you read everything and watch all of the TV segments, you could end up staying for 45 minutes tops.
