Always love going here when coming from out of state. Navigation easy with the help of the staff checking our tickets, concession booth accessible. For those with newer cars, invest in an FM radio. Our car kept turning off but that's a self fault and not the theaters. I had a cheeseburger and a fresh funnel cake from the concession and both were absolutely delicious! I spent $24 in your snack bar and then wanted to fill up my shaker bottle with ice water to mix up my hydration powder.....I was charged $1.08 for ICE WATER and I didn't even need your cup!! I get charging if that's all someone gets or if and when they use your cup....but I bought plenty of food and my OWN cup!!! I have always supported buying food at the snack bar to support your business as this is one of myself and my son's absolute favorite places to come, but I'm definitely going to rethink not bringing my own food after this!! read more

...call 524-2424, after mindlessly singing that jingle as a child, I finally got to experience the Starlite drive-in as an adult. It was simply amazing. It makes me happy that so many people come out to watch movies at this local establishment instead of going to larger establishments. It was $13 for a car load. There are two separate screens with 3 different movies playing. My friends and each grabbed a lawn chair and sat outside to enjoy the wonderful weather and laughed along side the Minions. Went to the concession stand and was happy to see reasonable prices for popular movie snacks. I can't wait to go back and enjoy what Starlite has to offer! read more

This is and always has been my favorite place to visit in my hometown. As a kid and even as an adult, the experience is so much better than a movie theater, and the retro feeling is magical. This is a great retro drive in theater. They have clean restrooms, lots of parking, and they even have larger vehicles park in different areas. We went on a weekend for a triple feature, but we didn't make the last movie! You are able to bring in food and drink or you can purchase from concession stand. We had a 12 and 4 year old. Drive In now takes credit, debit cards, and cash at the box office. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on leash and cause no problems (excessive barking) there is a small dog park by condensation stand. No pets inside as there's food out. It's a great time. This place is a real gem. You can see 2 movies for $9. The snack bar prices are reasonable with good variety. The place is just plain FUN. They have speakers or you can listen on your car sound system. We brought lounge chairs & blankets, snacks and drinks. We will be regular visitors. read more

Starlite Drive-in is one of the many hidden gems in Wichita. It's about 8$ a person for 2 movies or 3 movies on a Friday - if you can stay up late enough! The movies start when it gets dark in the summer, so usually around 9-10. On Fridays, you may not get home until 4 am! As it is a drive-in theatre, you are free to sit in your car with the radio on - Starlite has their own unique radio station to broadcast sound - or you can sit outside in your own seats, pop open the back of a van and sit on the inside or, if you're like the family we parked next to last time - throw a couch in the back of your pickup and watch it on the big screen! It's always a treat - You drive in, a teller in a booth will take your payment for movies. They give you a free ticket and if the number on it ends in "24" you get a prize.. I think it's a free movie night! Anyway, you're assigned a yellow or green pole depending on your car height. If you have a van, they ask you to tie down the back so you don't obstruct the other people's view. It's a very unique experience. The theme is a 50's drive in, so be prepared for hilariously bad advertisements for kicks and giggles. The service for the snack bar is pretty friendly and the parking lots are usually well manicured. It's not by any means an uptight or even the classiest of places - it's very casual, people come in pajamas, and you'll often see lots of different people here. I've never had a negative experience here. It's really difficult to find viable drive-ins and Wichita has the awesome gift of having one - check it out! read more

This was just the best night I have had in ages! I hadn't been to a drive in since I was a young teen. This whole place was very clean. The bathrooms were clean, the snack area was nice and had a million options. I can't wait to come back here again. read more

September 8, 2014 Best Night Ever! Recently my family spent the evening at the local drive-in. This was at the Starlite Drive-In, where for the low price of $12, the three of us were able to watch 4 recent movies! After arriving at 7:35, we were able to get a decent parking space real close to the concession area and restrooms. The sound, which can be heard through the FM radio in our van or the speaker, was easy to hear. At 8:30pm the first movie started; DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon 2. The video, being digital was super clear, even in the back rows of the lots. This movie was the anticipated sequel to How to Train Your Dragon, This movie shows how the area has changed since the first movie and was loaded with action, drama and of course Dragons. After a short intermission, the second movie started, this was the newest (but sadly disappointing) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. This movie was confusing with little connection to the original 4 Turtle movies. Once this movie was over and a shorter intermission concluded, the third movie started, this was The Guardians of the Galaxy which was a really good movie. This was an introduction of these characters which is connected to the Avengers'. Right after this movie, the fourth and final movie started which was called Into the Storm. Even though this movie was good, it makes you afraid of bad weather; especially since we live in an area that has seen a lot of tornadoes. I give this movie theater 5 out of 5 stars and recommend this for anyone wanting to see movies with the family without emptying their wallets. Richard Tarbox Jr Andover, KS read more

I love drive ins, especially the ones that provide the vintage feeling. They started to modernize it, which is okay to the point. Before they played classic songs, now they are trying "popular songs"(not cool at all). I like the feeling as if we are all back in time in the 70s/80s. read more

The experience was enjoyable, at least the movie part was. However, the overpriced food would have been understandable besides the fact that the popcorn was very stale, and the funnel cake was also stale and burnt. Also I understand there is a "no rain check" rule in place, but maybe there needs to be a new system in place to make sure people had been there previously, because paying 40$ to get back into the establishment was an issue. Especially after a couple of workers let another customer leave to "buy cigarettes", but not let us back in after picking something up between movies. Overall, fun experience, but just blatant bad customer service. read more
