I will be honest was the cook bad no, was the cookie amazing no it was just a cookie. I got a peanut butter cookie and it was nothing to write home about. I will say it was a soft cookie that wasn't overly sweet that satisfied my sweet tooth. The service was nice the young lady took the time to help me decide on what cookies I wanted because I was unfamiliar with this bakery. They packed the cookie nicely since I let her know it was to go. The establishment was on the backside of the strip mall so it was pretty quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of car traffic. read more

I recently participated in a sugar cookie taste off with six different bakeries, and Twisted Sugar was one of them. So my review is based solely on one cookie that I tried. I will update my review in the future when I come in to visit. The sugar cookie was Independence Day themed- round, light blue frosting and red, white and blue star-shaped sprinkles. The edges of the cookie looked like it might have been a hard texture, but it was rather soft and not too crumbly. One bite into the cookie and I was taken back to childhood, enjoying my mom's sugar cookies on the back porch. I was not the only one in the group who went on this same sentimental journey (and we don't even share a mother!) So, if your mom made a sugar cookie that you loved growing up, check this one out! It might take you down memory lane. The texture was very soft-both the cookie and the frosting. The frosting may have been cream cheese, I'm not sure. But I preferred the cookie naked. These are literally THE BEST cookies you will ever eat. Forget Crumbl or any other trendy stores that crop up. Go here. They are soft and perfect! There are so many flavors to choose from, but it's hard but to get our same favorites each time. Sugardoodle, Lemon Tart, and Lemon Raspberry are our families favorites. If you want a fudgy, chocolate cookie, the crinkle is amazing. The basic chocolate chip cookies are perfection. We love all the monthly flavors, which make it fun to go regularly (which we'd do anyway). The drinks are good too, but it's not why we go. Other places have similar drinks, but you can't beat the cookies! The sweet rolls are also good. We love the raspberry! The others are good, but that's our favorite. I didn't know any local cookies places did gluten free! It was so exciting to be able to not only get a gluten free cookie, but to be able to pick my flavor! The frosting and glaze were delicious together. The texture of the cookie was pretty good for gluten free as well. My son got the peanut butter and asked when we can go back! Recently moved nearby so this was our first visit and we loved it! Their classic chocolate chip has huge chips in it and all of their cookies are so soft. We also had their Twisted Sugar and Lemon Raspberry Sugar and both were amazing. Lost a star for the long wait. This place is great. I've been having withdraws ever since Club Soda closed in Bountiful, and although Fizz and Swig are a bit closer, I'll drive to Twisted Sugar in Centerville when I need my cookie and soda fix. The cookies are amazing! I tried the Bischoff, a standard sugar cookie and the Twisted, which has coconut frosting and lime. I squeezed the fresh lime on my frosting and wow, I was taken away on an exotic vacation of tropical bliss. I can't wait to try their other cookies! They have an extensive cookie lineup. I ordered a Diet Mountain Dew with strawberry purée and kiwi, it was great. I didn't taste very much of the purée as it seemed quite syrupy, but that's why we go to these soda shops, right? The staff working behind the counter were very friendly, got my order correct and served it quickly. The decor is bland, but I'm assuming it's because Twister Sugar just opened. I hope some interior decor and outdoor signage is coming soon. The atmosphere doesn't reflect the fun cookies they sell. read more

Came here because my kids get these wooden tokens every time they have a no cavity checkup at the dentist. Seems kinna self defeating if you ask me. Daughter got the salted sugar. I got a lime and grapefruit lime Ricky and a Peanut butter cooky that had creamy pb in the middle. Prices are much better than Cr*mb1. They also sell a bag of pebble ice for $2! Cookies are good. I feel like a terrible person, but these cookies just weren't quite 5 stars for me. They were good, but I wasn't totally sold. I'm from Salt Lake and it was a fun different great, but not sure I would make a special trip up here just for these cookies again. But hey - they were still a pretty freaking awesome cookie. They are pretty friendly but the lines are pretty crazy. I also wish they would be open on sundays, and maybe more smoothie flavors.

There stuff is good, but the staff is abysmal. I ordered 4 cookies, which used to be about $8-$10 depending on what kind. This time I was charged over $12 and I asked her to confirm the order. She did and told me their prices went up. I asked for a receipt. She didn't know how to do it so asked someone else. This girl took quite a while figuring out how to print a receipt, yet gave me the wrong one, so I asked for the right one. By this time, they noticed some guy who used to work there had shown up, and the entire staff started talking to him while I was being ignored. We waited a while and they seemed not to care I was needing help. Eventually I asked a 3rd employee how the cookie prices changed from the menu, which still posted old prices, and she didn't know. The girl who supposedly knew how to print receipts gave a little attitude and said "I'll help you when I'm done talking to him." At that point, I could tell I wasn't a priority and just left. Sad. I've always preferred this place over other similar cookie chains. There cookies are better and soda's are great, but this experience along with the price hike really turned me off. read more

Normally I would be giving 5 stars, however last night was a disappointment. They gave us the wrong cookies, lemon instead of lemon raspberry and they weren't cooked enough. I was so excited to find a place close to me that has redbull Italian sodas. But after giving them 5 chances to get it right, unfortunately they couldn't. Every time I go there the drinks have been so inconsistent, from not having redbull in stock to not tasting right at all. Did you know there is a Twisted Sugar in Centerville? Like a sucker I have actually driven to Layton more than once to partake of our favorite cookies and beverage concoctions. Let's be honest though, who ever drives further east than Wal-Mart on Parrish Lane? Obviously not this guy. Genius they put it in an old bank building. All of our favorite sugar twistings 13 minutes and 11 miles closer to home. I might never have a reason to go to Layton ever again. For the longest time I was dubious of the Utah phenomenon that is drive-thru soda. My first experience was the "Dirty Dr. Pepper" craze in St. George. Then, of course, there is Swig the pink cookie kings. Next thing you know these places are popping up everywhere that has a drive thru (hence the old bank). Each soda window has its own shtick or claim to fame. The whole gimmick was lost on me until I visited Twisted Sugar. The cookies are all unique and must be tried immediately. Our favorite and the thing that inspired drives to Layton is the banana cream cookie. It's like a delicious handheld pie. The beverage mixology is on point as well. My order is boring, I get the giant size nectar that I recently found out is called "Twisted" (lime and coconut). Every window has a version of this, but Twisted Sugar is the best I've had with the perfect ratio of coconut and fresh lime. I've noticed it is a little cheaper here than some as well, but don't tell the Sugar fairies lest they hike the price tag and further empty my couch cushions of their change. If you are skeptical of these places, like I was, I suggest you start at Twisted Sugar so at least you can say you've been to the best. read more
