Our whole family has been buying the Fudgenut Cake for years, but the last two times we got one it was about half the size in height that it has been forever. They have raised the price and lowered the quantity, just like so many other business owners are doing! $31.00 is way too much to pay for half of what we used to get for around $24.00. Plus we asked for the ice cream to be Jamoca Almond fudge...two times recently it was vanilla!!!!! Have been going to this place for years! The ice cream is always fantastic and the service is too. Yes, sometimes you get a newbie who is learning, but anytime I've had an issue I tell the manager and he quickly fixes it for me and says he will inform that worker so they can improve their quality and service. Right now they have a fantastic manager (I've seen a lot come and go) and it's obvious he encourages his staff to be friendly and welcoming. They also know how to move big groups through quickly. Although this is somewhat of a chain ice cream joint, I am absolutely amazed at how friendly the staff is. Every time we come in the workers are extremely happy, kind, and helpful on recommending new flavors and promoting a fun time. The ice cream is good quality. My complaint is with some of the current staff. There are two guys who work there that are always yelling at each other- why? Speak in a normal tone of voice. You're speaking at the top of your lungs in a small ice cream shop. They are talking about interviewing for new jobs, sports games, everything, all at the top of their lungs while people are trying to order. It really got on my nerves and I found it obnoxious. While taking peoples orders, the one man in particular speaks incredibly loudly and a flat affect but using what I'll describe as up beat language. It comes across as sarcastic. I don't come here often, but every once in awhile I crave ice cream and this is the closest place to my house. I like that there are always different flavors to choose some but they have their regulars as well. Pistachio is my favorite but they have smoothies, coffee drinks, and cakes as well. Their Carmel mocha blast is great and is another regular that I get. This place is great for kids to sample some of the flavors and choose from a wide variety. During the summer this place can get pretty busy and with a park across the street, you know this is a great location to grab some sweets and head over to the park. read more

Never given a Yelp review before but this place pissed me off to the point that I want to deter as many as I can from giving their money to this place. We pulled in at 9:45 and they close at 10. They locked the doors literally in our faces and refused to even look at us because they knew what they were doing was wrong. 4 cars pulled in right after us and we warned them that they were closed, everyone exclaiming that "they're supposed to close at 10!" Baskin Robins is a great addition to sugarhouse. I've been coming here for years for ice cream and shakes, and I can say they're good. The location is nice. Pretty simple when you walk in the flavor options are all there and the menu is right in front of you. Service is always nice. They offer a wide variety of flavors, from classic ice cream with many different as well as original flavors. Then they offer a sort of frozen yogurt ice cream thing with different fruit flavors. They offer different come sizes, come types, and waffle cones. If you need a birthday cake you can buy it here as well. The shakes here are superb. I can highly recommend the cappachino but shake which is a great coffee flavor. You can get any ice cream flavor they have made into a shake. Baskin Robins isn't all that cheap compared to some other places. The shakes will run you anywhere from $4.50 for a small to $6.50ish to $7 for a large. Just putting that out there. So if you're in the mood for ice cream, look no further! From cones to shakes they're all very good! read more
