After checking at several paint and body shops in the Rockwall/Rowlett/Wylie area, I realized paint and bodywork on my car was going to be more expensive and take longer than I had expected. However, the total cost of paint and bodywork at Rockwall MAACO was a small fraction of what a new car would cost, so I made the decision to have the work done at MAACO, and I am really happy with the results. MAACO, paint tech, Brad, and Customer service rep, Shannon, were very helpful and walked me through the process from start to finish. I understand that the online estimate is a ballpark estimate. After emailing Shannon, I told her I would be there today for the real estimate. I pull up, ask for Shannon, and some guy comes out walks up to the car, asks about dings, I told him all I wanted was the paint job. He said "you want me to pull the bandage off?" I asked what, and he said $6/7k. I asked him what again, and he said "we need to sand the car" So $4/5k upgrade in price for sanding? I guess all y'all do is just wipe off the dirt and paint, eh? They gave me a two-hour window for their arrival and showed up 15 minutes into that window. The whole job, including some preexistent scuffing on the side of the bumper, took about two hours, all done in my driveway. The color match and finish is impeccable and the price is less than a third of what a body shop would have cost me, not counting leaving the vehicle and having to get a rental while they did it. Multiple, convenient ways to pay. Cannot say enough good about this business (I almost want to call it a service), and Shannon who came and did all the work. Top notch, down-to-earth good neighbors.
