Such a cute and fun place to have a treat after brunch and running some errands the day after Christmas. At first we passed Twistee Treats as it is set back from the road a little ways. Maybe as bigger sign is needed? We arrived at a good time as there was no line but as we left there were a number of folks waiting to order. You can order at the window or at the drive thru. The weather was pleasant that day so we ordered and sat at the covered outside seating area. I ordered a hot fudge sundae. My husband chose a coffee milk shake. The medium sundae was generously sized so I'm glad I ordered the medium. It was delicious and the warm chocolate nicely melted the ice cream. The whipped cream was so rich and creamy. Finalllyyyy! After 4 months of living a few blocks away we got to come and give Twistee Treats for a Try! We'll the wait was worth it !!!!! Everytime we've drove by the parking lot was so full people were parking on the street! While the line was out to the road lol, literally! We came at the right time, moments after a short rain storm and there was no line! Oh thank you dear lord as he knows my patience is not that great, especially an outisde line in the middle of Florida summer! But as soon as we parked and walked up cars started rolling right on in! Ordered our treats and they were ready within a few minutes, perfect! They have a cute little deck with cabana area to sit and eat. Couple small issues that I have is there is rarely more than one person working at a time and there is always a long line. We went to TT last night just before 6PM. There were 2 other cars with no people standing outside. (I assume they were eating in their cars). We approached the window and began reading the menu board. There was a woman to the left ON THE PHONE in the building. She didn't respond whatsoever when we approached. We were looking at the menu and looking into the service window..............no response............. STILL ON the phone. We then stepped to our left about 1 foot to be right in front of the service window and THAT got her to move towards the service window..............STILL ON the phone. She passed BY the service window as we watched, she was out of site to our right...........STILL ON the phone. Then, her right hand started to, maybe, open the service window............STILL ON the phone. Her hand stayed on the window NOT opening it for about 10 seconds..............we LEFT! As we were getting into our car, she came out the back door towards our car, saying something, but we just said "apparently, you are TOO busy" and drove away. NEVER again. That is too bad, as we have been going to Twistee Treat at that location for over 20 years! read more
