The spinach feta croissant was good BUT would have been better if they had a toaster oven instead of a microwave for heating things up... microwaved croissant = soggy floppy croissant. Although their bread may be good I find them extremely overpriced. Staff not always pleasant and sweets are ok but homemade better. Wish there were Lidl close by as their German Rye is just as good and for a better price. read more

And yet another disappointing experience at the bakery. Saturday morning, and only one person behind the counter. While she was making an egg sandwich for another customer, she did not look up once, acknowledge me, or say I'll be right with you. I was invisible. When I asked what was inside one of the cakes, she shrugged and said I don't know, they don't tell me anything. Bought a scone and it was stale. Threw it out when I got home. The service has always been awful, but if you're willing to ignore that, most of their pastries are ok.. their quiche, however, is exceptional. And a great product to bring to a luncheon. $45 later and I wish I had gone to Publix for my cake cakes. read more

Used to be a weekly destination but over the past 18 months or so their quality and counter service has taken a nose dive. After several under baked ( wet centers ) or over baked ( like eating mulch ) loaves of bread and stale pastries I've called it quits. The counter service is indifferent and disorganized. read more

Scones are five dollars and horrible. Really doughy and you could almost break your teeth on the dried apricot. I haven't tried all their food but I've been looking for a place to have a simple and not overpriced scone and this is not the place. read more

We visited the location while in Stuart this Saturday morning. We believe they used to come to the Parkland Farmers Market and it was confirmed by the bake goods and employees. They had many pastries and breads available and prices as quite reasonable. The horseshoe is a must try and it offers a chocolate cigar type pastry with cheese inside and covered in powder sugar and chocolate drizzle. We each picked our morning pastry to get into hear and match up with our Wawa Iced Coffees. Wife loved the strawberry and cheese croissant. Kids had other pastries including a blueberry and custard one also. All were fresh and prices were more than fair. Our only regret is they no longer handle our local Farmers Market and this means we would need to travel to Stuart or Ft Pierce for this hidden gem. read more

Lettering was crooked; congratulations misspelled; whipped icing, not butter cream. Used to be a fine bakery. Prices increased, quality has really suffered. read more

Went there for breakfast this morning on the recommendation of someone. I ordered a custom sandwich, baguette with cheese and tomato. The person cut the baguette into small slices, hardly any cheese on the rounds and tomato cut into chunks instead of slices, never had a baguette sandwich cut into rounds anywhere before, usually cut lenthways. Cappuccino didn't even taste like coffee, more like warm milk. Very disappointed, won't be going there again!!!! read more

We have been going there for decades. Our favorite treat is the spinach and feta croissant - oh yummy. We take it to go and have them heated for our ride to wherever. The bread is very good, and the desserts are incredible. They used to make a garlic bread which was unbelieveable but not have seen it in awhile. Last time we went my husband had the ham and swiss cheese croissant and it looked very good. A nice treat but check hours they close earlier than listed so it is best to call. read more

Been coming to the Importicos Bakery Stuart location for the last 19-20 years. Way back since when Joseph and Carol where the owners. To bad things are getting worst at this location. Too many things done wrong. This is the second time in a month. I ordered 3 bowls of soup, which they said they had, they came out with 1 bowl, 1-1/2 bowl, and 1-1/3 of a bowl. When I told the girl that was taking care of us that we paid for bowls not half cups, she got mad and yelled she wasn't done yet and that, thats all they had. No plates, no bread, no butter. Ruby is needed here asap. These people make you feel like you have to take your food as they give it to you like it or not, or that you have no right to complaint. Not asking for free food; but, I want to get what I paid for. After posting this review, a lady came out and told us we are banned from this establishment. I guess we are supposed to pay for something I want to eat, and get to serve you the remaining little bit of food they have and be ok with it. I guess we are no longer welcomed here for speaking out. We left the untouched soups on the table, and when requested a refund they said there was no refunds cause they gave us a $5 dollar sandwich in replacement of the $15 we paid for the three bowls of soup, and to which I didn't care and left without arguing about it. Not that $10 is going to get me broke; but, the fact that they had the audacity to take us for a fool by giving us the last 10 spoons of soup they had and then banned us for speaking up, gets me infuriated. Joseph and Carol (former owners) were great business owners, and Ruby (server) always offered the best customer service. Always went above and beyond when it came to serving customers. We never had an issue with them or this establishment until new ownership, new manager and employees stepped in; one can tell by their reaction from today, when instead of fixing the problem they got upset. And to be somewhat more realistic, I can even notice an act of racism from these people. This was my favorite place back when (the crew in the photos) were the ones leading it. Very friendly staff. I was seeking a great source for locally baked bread. We bought some beautiful multigrain bread, which was $7.00. A little steep but this is not a large commercial operation. The problem was the bread was dry and overly salty. The young lady who waited upon us said it was baked that day....but it was a huge disappointment. We also bought one blueberry and cream cheese Danish....I guess it could be called that. Again, it was a disappointment. The pastry was heavy and rather tasteless. It was not flakey nor delicious. I suppose that all bakeries are challenged by the times. And Stuart is not exactly a Foodie paradise. But we do have some expectations of excellence. Those expectations were not met. read more

We did get an awesome bacon, egg, n Che on a croissant, and a bacon guacamole club on rye bread that was super tasty! The Italian cookies were super fresh and delicious, as was the last piece of tiramisu (I enjoyed it, but do prefer it homemade from a restaurant at the end of my meal), and this ridiculously chocolatey brownie with chocolate mousse... I will definitely stop back in to try some danish and rainbow cookies as they made quite the impression on the items we did order and eat! read more

Went here for the Lobster tails. Tried 3 different times to get them. They are always out. FInally ended up getting some one day. They are OK. The cream is excellent in them but the shells themself were very dry and kinda chewy. Not that many people make these but we will continue to get them up a little closer to Ft Pierce at one of their competitors we wont name. This place does however have the best cakes BY FAR. Will definitely be back for those. Also the place looks pretty filthy inside. They don't do much with it. The traffic flow is horrible. If there is more than 2 people in the store it gets whacky. read more

Second time I come here moved from s. Florida pbc. I ordered a loaf of sourdough bread and as I was also looking at the assortments of cookies, I was planning in ordering more for family coming tonight. Ordered a loaf of sour dough which looked decent. However, the lady at the front counter was placing the loaf of bread in a plastic bag with a tie knot I asked VERY POLITELY and even BEFORE she placed the tie-knot on it that if she can place the bread in a brown bread bag because when the crust will come out gummy and it crusty, as German French we know that bread mostly is about the crackling of a good crust. The lady then, proceeded by giving me the legalistic, condescending and scolding verbiage rebuking tone ... "next time, let us know in advance" she repeated this 3x's ... As she continued and completed her task in tying the plastic knot with the tie on, she then hands me the brown bag ... I took the bread out of her hand , untied the know to let the air circulate and while placing It Myself in the brown bread bag, pieces of the bread got dropped on the countertop, she could not even had the with all to say let me help you, I and another person who she finished attending before me, no one else in the store. I responded never mind the cookies , I'll pay the $6 for the loaf and left. Got home the bread was stale , no flavor and the crust was really not crusty at all. Very disappointed over all. You just don't serve nor treat customers that way, specially when I mention to her it's my second time coming here for we just moved to the county 2 years ago. read more

Who knew real bakeries existed on Treasure Coast! Place was packed with gray hairs happily eating a light breakfast and coffee. I observed display cases full of bakery desserts I am used to, and racks full of fresh bread. I had a delicious croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon, white cheddar and silky smooth scrambled eggs. Some tips where they could kick it up a notch is get rid of the microwaves and reheat stuff on a grill. Lightly butter my bread in the sandwich, and use a better quality thick cut bacon. Plus that sandwich for over $5 with no coffee or juice is too steep for Florida in my opinion. With all that said I was happy to find this bakery and give it a solid 3.5 stars. read more
