This is a true little town place and I loved every moment of it. The first time I stopped in I found a seat and was promptly greeted and asked what I'd like to drink. I got unsweet tea and man was it good tea! They had all you can eat catfish so I went for it! It's cut into small strips and breaded and fried and it was absolutely perfect. Breading to gosh ration was perfection. I was asked if I'd like them to go ahead and get a second basket of catfish cooking and I said yes. It came with a piece of butter toasted Texas toast yum!The tartar sauce was delicious as well. I ordered a side salad which is just lettuce and shredded cheese and I got ranch...it was awesome. I had fried okra and mashed potato and gravy. All was incredible. I loved the decor and the staff was just amazing all the way around with every person I encountered. This is a place where you don't feel like the people hate their jobs and are just getting through. Everyone knows everyone and I really enjoyed seeing that. All good reheated was just as good the next day! The slow place of a little town has my heart since I grew up in small country area and now live in the city. It was so nice to slow down and not feel a bit rushed from driving in the road to this perfect little diner. I went back the next evening for dinner and the place was a bit busier than before and had large families gathered. I was greeted and ordered an unsweet tea. This time I tried the chicken fried steak smothered in white gravy with mashed potato's and gravy and a side salad with ranch. Again everything was perfection! Best chicken fried steak I've had in awhile, again breading to meat ratio was perfect and breading was crunchy and golden brown. I then was asked if I'd like dessert and they said they had peanut butter chocolate cake. I got it to go. Holy moly was it a slice of heaven! It was just what I needed to go along with the rest of my home cooked comfort food. Little diners like this in small towns do t get many reviews on Yelp and I always do my best to promote them when they are amazing like this one. I support local whenever I can. If you are ever close by this is a must stop in place. I don't have a single negative thing to say. Thank you to all who made my experience just wonderful! The first night I was there a gentleman in the back quietly paid for my meal and I wanted to go thank him but he asked the waitress not to say it was him and I wanted to respect that. Do you know how long it's been since a stranger did something g so kind for literally no reason? If you see this sir, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We need more of this on our world. Kindness is everything. Do NOT pass this place up, you will be missing out big time!

The food was really good, the tater tots were crunchy, the way I like them! I was pleasantly surprised to discover a friend of mine was working here, and her family owns the place! Service was slow, but the patrons were sparse, so it all worked out. Ambience was reminiscent of an old 50's diner. My friend said they owned the place since 1979 and it showed. It was like a piece of Americana, frozen in time. Lots of Elvis, old glasses, artwork, tables and chairs warm, but welcoming. There re was a trickle of locals passing through. It was an enjoyable experience.

At about 1 PM I went with my clients and co-worker to buy and eat lunch in Medford. This was a very welcomed activity since the Corona Virus stay home orders started. I work in a home with two disabled individuals and they have been staying at home for quite sometime. Now that they can go out, we decided that the Peppermint Pad was a great place to buy them some food. So, we drive from Enid, to Medford. My co-worker had great memories of the place. He used to go there when he was very young. I ordered a small burger no cheese, no mustard, with Mayo. Also an order of fries and a large diet coke. This was a little less than 9$. Quite hefty price, but I figured why not? I got my burger with cheese... I can live with cheese. With mustard, a LOT of it. I tried to eat it but could not. The order of fries was 10 very greasy fries (maybe 10) for 2.25$. I even showed them to my co-worker...but I was willing to bypass that. So when I took the burger back, I asked about the fries. Why were there so few? I was told the order was OK. I complained they were greasy and if I could get a new order because I felt the fries were reheated. The woman at the front told me that the fries had come fresh of the fryer, but she could give me my money back if I wanted it. She took my fries. When my burger was ready, my co-worker picked it up for me, but no fries or no money back. I was waiting in the van with my clients. So when my coworker returned to the van, I got out and went to get my fries or my money back. The cook came from the back and proceeded to tell me that I "needed to eat the fries because I had already eaten half of them". I had not done such thing. The worse part was that as she was saying, "you need to eat them", the lady in the front reached for those fries (which were under the counter) and handed them to me. Then they said good bye and shut the window on me. So I returned to the van, got the burger and took it back and told them they could have their burger. No I did not say ugly or profane things to them for I don't use those words. This experience cost me close to 9$. It is a shame we that this even happened. All I wanted was some fresh fries and a fair product amount for my money. I will not return to this place of business, they took my money and the product. I will go to Vance AFB and tell the base commander of our experience (my husband is retired USAF). I will tell the people as Integris Hospital about our experience (My husband and many of our friends work there). I will tell the health department of their lack of hand-washing and giving me the fries they took from me earlier, which were placed under the counter, and then returned to me. I will also tell them how the first burger took over 30 minutes to prepare and the 2nd one took less than 5 minutes (I felt they just wiped it from the mustard, reheated it, put mayo on it, and gave it to me). It is what it is, but I did not need to be treated like a 2 year old, so unfairly and rudely.

Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!

They easily beat all the chains in town but they blew the other local joints out of the water as well. It's been awhile since I'd eaten there and was so looking forward to it. But after nearly $20 for a double meat and cheese accompanied with an order of cheese tots and a soda, I wish I'd went to McDonalds. I'm joking I would never go to McDonald's. But now I can say I will never go back to Jim's Jumbo Burger. The burger lacked all the elements of greatness they once held. Virtually no flavor. No juiciness and It lacked actual substance. The tots were old tasting and stale. The cheese was none existent. The meal was not worth nearly $20. Do the math on trying to feed a family of four. A $100 bucks for dry, tasteless, old food is not worth it in any economy. The service was fine, even though the wait time was a bit much for no one else being there. And again it is nothing to look at. The vibe is 1979s retro ran down. It was once a great place with great food. Now I wouldn't waste my time.

He wanted a burger so he said here or Braum's...so here it was. We walked in, and there is a bar room and an eating room. We sat in the dining area, the fireplace on one wall is really aesthetic, otherwise it's a quaint, clean, hole-in-the-wall establishment... motorcycle parking up front (wish we'd brought our bikes). Hubby ordered a beer, it arrived in a frosty cold mug, just like he likes it. Also, as per tradition, fried mushrooms. As for food, he got a cheeseburger with seasoned fries and I got wings(enough to share) in mild sauce and sweet potato fries with sea salt. Our server was also the one preparing the food, he wore gloves, he worked quick, and was friendly. The workers talk to you like you're their neighbor, and everyone seems in a pretty good mood. Now on to the food...I am often jealous of my husband's selection, this is no exception. His burger looked like something your dad makes for Memorial Day, family picnics, and the 4th of July. It is thick and juicy, and I'd like to tell you that it tasted as good, but honestly, my husband didn't share. LOL He says I only needed to ask. I did try the fries, seasoned is DEFINITELY the way to go! YUM! HOWEVER, my wings were not missing a beat, they were delicious, fresh, and the sauce was super good. My sweet potato fries were excellent. The best part, with appetizer, three beers, and both our dinners, we still got out of there for less than $40. Overall, would definitely go back, very pleased with service, food, cleanliness, and cost. I definitely recommend you stop in.

I didn't realize orders had to be called in, so I stepped outside to do that. Before leaving, I quickly checked our burgers to make sure the order was correct (something any reasonable customer does before driving off). She confronted me with, "What are you doing?" I explained I was just checking the food, and she responded, "Well, that's rude." At that point, I was genuinely upset and told her I had never been treated this way before. Her response? A dismissive, "Bye-bye, honey. Goodbye." Completely unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile. The only redeeming part of the experience was the man working the grill--he was kind and respectful. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough to make up for everything else. To top it off, the cheeseburgers are overpriced, and honestly, you'd get better quality and service at McDonald's. We won't be back.
