This comes out before you order. It's pita bread with a delicious sauce

I was visiting for a weekend get away and found this little gem! It's right off the main road so it's easy to find. This place is a mom and pop place and reminds me of home as a child. This is a true little town place and I loved every moment of it. The first time I stopped in I found a seat and was promptly greeted and asked what I'd like to drink. I got unsweet tea and man was it good tea! They had all you can eat catfish so I went for it! It's cut into small strips and breaded and fried and it was absolutely perfect. Breading to gosh ration was perfection. I was asked if I'd like them to go ahead and get a second basket of catfish cooking and I said yes. It came with a piece of butter toasted Texas toast yum!The tartar sauce was delicious as well. I ordered a side salad which is just lettuce and shredded cheese and I got ranch...it was awesome. I had fried okra and mashed potato and gravy. All was incredible. I loved the decor and the staff was just amazing all the way around with every person I encountered. This is a place where you don't feel like the people hate their jobs and are just getting through. Everyone knows everyone and I really enjoyed seeing that. All good reheated was just as good the next day! The slow place of a little town has my heart since I grew up in small country area and now live in the city. It was so nice to slow down and not feel a bit rushed from driving in the road to this perfect little diner. I went back the next evening for dinner and the place was a bit busier than before and had large families gathered. I was greeted and ordered an unsweet tea. This time I tried the chicken fried steak smothered in white gravy with mashed potato's and gravy and a side salad with ranch. Again everything was perfection! Best chicken fried steak I've had in awhile, again breading to meat ratio was perfect and breading was crunchy and golden brown. I then was asked if I'd like dessert and they said they had peanut butter chocolate cake. I got it to go. Holy moly was it a slice of heaven! It was just what I needed to go along with the rest of my home cooked comfort food. Little diners like this in small towns do t get many reviews on Yelp and I always do my best to promote them when they are amazing like this one. I support local whenever I can. If you are ever close by this is a must stop in place. I don't have a single negative thing to say. Thank you to all who made my experience just wonderful! The first night I was there a gentleman in the back quietly paid for my meal and I wanted to go thank him but he asked the waitress not to say it was him and I wanted to respect that. Do you know how long it's been since a stranger did something g so kind for literally no reason? If you see this sir, thank you from the bottom of my heart. We need more of this on our world. Kindness is everything. Do NOT pass this place up, you will be missing out big time!

This place is right on the curve in Pond Creek. Everyone has been here to eat at one time or another under various names. Tonight was a first for Wally. I parked and we went in. It wasn't as cool inside as I had hoped, but it was better than the 102 outside we had just walked in from, so I can't complain. The place is rather scruffy but in a charming way. It was clean, sparse but at least decorated and the waitresses wore whatever suited them, namely t-shirt and jeans. We were encouraged to sit anywhere, so we selected a half booth, half chairs sitting arrangement at a table close to the door. The waitress brought menus and took our water order. She rattled off a list of beverages, but we remained steadfast with water. When she returned, she remarked the Friday special was all-you-can-eat catfish. I'm in! Hubby ordered a pickle burger from the menu. Food arrived fairly quickly. As she sat the plates down, she asked if we needed anything else. "More fish". The burger was delectable, according to hubby. He had tiny fries piled on his plate. A large bottle of catsup stood by, ready to suffocate them in red. I had just finished a sumptuous side salad, generously assisted by ranch dressing. It only whet my appetite for the forthcoming fish. I was not disappointed. The first plate contained five long strips coated and fried to perfection. The fork merely disintegrated them, so I resorted to a method of shovel, dip, bite. There was just enough tarter sauce in the cup to complete the plate full of fish. While the waitress sped off to put an order in for more fish, I concentrated on the curly fries. I abstained from any condiment, creserving my taste buds for the next plate of catfish. I sipped water and waited, watching hubby polish off his mound of tiny fries. A basket arrived at the table with 5 fish strips in it. She inquired "more fish? " I nodded and off she went. I was just dipping the last of my fish into the last of the tarter sauce as the next basket arrived. This played out twice more before the warmth of the fish in my belly caught up to me and I had to cease the incoming fish baskets. With a huge grin, the waitress inquired if we were ready for dessert. I told her maybe next time. Hubby paid, a generous tip was left with the water glasses on the table, a delicious meal had gluttonously been consumed. Go there on a Friday night and fill up on the catfish. They melt in your mouth like butter. We plan a return soon!

Ok, so we've been working in the Pond Creek area and getting take out from Greazy Steve's off and on for a month. Salads are good, burgers are good, chicken strips and steak fingers are good, considering we were getting take out. Today went in and ate in the restaurant. It's typical, small town restaurant. Don't expect 5 star decorations but you can expect good comfort food, great service and reasonable prices. Had chicken fried steak, huge, mashed potatoes, salad all for $12 bucks. Gravy needed salt and pepper but I probably didn't need the extra salt but added at the table. Not many reviews so here's a shout out to Greazy Steve's!

We both got the catfish (cause not many places do it right where we live) and it was perfect!

The food was really good, the tater tots were crunchy, the way I like them! I was pleasantly surprised to discover a friend of mine was working here, and her family owns the place! Service was slow, but the patrons were sparse, so it all worked out. Ambience was reminiscent of an old 50's diner. My friend said they owned the place since 1979 and it showed. It was like a piece of Americana, frozen in time. Lots of Elvis, old glasses, artwork, tables and chairs warm, but welcoming. There re was a trickle of locals passing through. It was an enjoyable experience.

At about 1 PM I went with my clients and co-worker to buy and eat lunch in Medford. This was a very welcomed activity since the Corona Virus stay home orders started. I work in a home with two disabled individuals and they have been staying at home for quite sometime. Now that they can go out, we decided that the Peppermint Pad was a great place to buy them some food. So, we drive from Enid, to Medford. My co-worker had great memories of the place. He used to go there when he was very young. I ordered a small burger no cheese, no mustard, with Mayo. Also an order of fries and a large diet coke. This was a little less than 9$. Quite hefty price, but I figured why not? I got my burger with cheese... I can live with cheese. With mustard, a LOT of it. I tried to eat it but could not. The order of fries was 10 very greasy fries (maybe 10) for 2.25$. I even showed them to my co-worker...but I was willing to bypass that. So when I took the burger back, I asked about the fries. Why were there so few? I was told the order was OK. I complained they were greasy and if I could get a new order because I felt the fries were reheated. The woman at the front told me that the fries had come fresh of the fryer, but she could give me my money back if I wanted it. She took my fries. When my burger was ready, my co-worker picked it up for me, but no fries or no money back. I was waiting in the van with my clients. So when my coworker returned to the van, I got out and went to get my fries or my money back. The cook came from the back and proceeded to tell me that I "needed to eat the fries because I had already eaten half of them". I had not done such thing. The worse part was that as she was saying, "you need to eat them", the lady in the front reached for those fries (which were under the counter) and handed them to me. Then they said good bye and shut the window on me. So I returned to the van, got the burger and took it back and told them they could have their burger. No I did not say ugly or profane things to them for I don't use those words. This experience cost me close to 9$. It is a shame we that this even happened. All I wanted was some fresh fries and a fair product amount for my money. I will not return to this place of business, they took my money and the product. I will go to Vance AFB and tell the base commander of our experience (my husband is retired USAF). I will tell the people as Integris Hospital about our experience (My husband and many of our friends work there). I will tell the health department of their lack of hand-washing and giving me the fries they took from me earlier, which were placed under the counter, and then returned to me. I will also tell them how the first burger took over 30 minutes to prepare and the 2nd one took less than 5 minutes (I felt they just wiped it from the mustard, reheated it, put mayo on it, and gave it to me). It is what it is, but I did not need to be treated like a 2 year old, so unfairly and rudely.
