Everyone at the studio is welcoming and friendly. Leo Laporte is an exceptional host! My husband is his #1 fan and a big tech geek. They all welcomed us into the studio to watch/listen to a taping, spent time chatting with us, offered us food and even provided us with a TWiT bag full of swag! It was a great visit, never to be forgotten.

http://www.krcb.org/…read more KRCB-TV 22 has on-going Wine, Food and Travel Auctions throughout the year, and always gives you a wonderful opportunity to bid live while each auction airs. In San Francisco, the North, East and South bays, it is usually channel 22 on the dial. It's a fun way to participate and get wonderful wine, food and travel items, and to also support public broadcasting. Take a look at their website for on-going televsion and radio programming.

I'm also a fan of Outbeat Radio! Some of the promos for local shows are OK, while others are abysmal. "Ric on the Radio" is fun and engaging. On the other end of the spectrum is "Lady Spins the Blues." The promo is so unappealing that I actually change the station when it comes on. Her words and delivery remind me of an Indiana librarian trying to excite us about a newly-released children's book. Totally not in keeping with the subject matter, and completely uninspiring. The AM spot, "Sonoma Spotlight" is even spottier. The regular host sounds ancient and he does a pretty poor job of interviewing folks. Lastly, the Friday morning Real Discovery/At the Movies Review is unlistenable. It gets a D minus.

What an amazing treat! This festival is the best. Do bring your own chairs (to sit in the back) or…read morestadium chairs for the hay bale seating in front. At the very least you need a blanket to cover the hay bale. The music will blow you away. Accordion music from all over the world - Hungarian, Cajun, classical, French - all here, all wonderful. I enjoyed everything. Go early for decent parking. There are tons of vendors. No outside food allowed and only one water bottle per person. They will search your bag. Lots of food vendors - we bought containers of food from Brothers (hummus, garlic spread, olives, pitas, baklava, etc) and the kettle corn was delicious. Also bought lots of merchandise - festival had past years tee shirts and the bands had clothing and CDs. There's a great play area for the kids, and lots of bathrooms - a mix of conventional and porta potties. The people who put this on are epically nice volunteers and they do a magnificent job. I enjoyed every second and I'll be back next year! (We stay in Windsor and go to both days of the festival.)

The other thing I appreciate so much is the food vendors charged reasonable or somewhat high cost for food Unlike most of the other events. (The County Faire is eg laughable in that respect.) This was my 1st time for the Accordion Festival, not the last! I'm still Rockin from it!
