I used to have Comcast. Now I'm stuck with DISH. I literally say out loud "DISH sucks" everyday. I lose signal to my TV at least once a day usually several times a day. When Dish dropped HBO in December 2018. I cancelled my DISH account. I bought a big new Samsung screen. Stream the entertainment from HBO, Netflix, Showtime, etc... If I need live news coverage there's Youtube. Cut the cable, or satellite service in this case. Now saving $80 per month for 500 channels of crap that I never watched. read more

I do not recommend Dish. I've had them for 11 years here in N. Cal. they were great for 9 years, then something happened with the equipment. The TV started pixelating, freezing, then jumping ahead. I haven't seen a whole program in 4 months. I keep having to call and trouble shoot with the customer service, then they send a tech. Multiple techs have come to my house to work on the system for one repair, then another, then replacing the main box (hopper). I asked 3 times if I would not be charged for a new hopper, the phone person said no twice, the tech said no, and then I was charged for the hopper. They said they could not reverse the charges, when I talked to the supervisor, they refunded me everything but the tax. Now they want me to buy a repair service for $11. a month. What? I live out in the country, don't have steady internet connection, so I don't know what my other option is but to stop watching TV and just read books. I'll be better off. read more

We have had dish for three months now. I asked to have my bills sent via email. I never received my bill. After checking spam and going through all my email with the tech on the phone, they did not take the $10.00 late fee of my bill. Again, I never received my bill and I called them. The tech was friendly and nice but REALLY! Its $10.00 it should be all about customer service. In my world, that's not good customer service. It takes one bad experience to tell 10 people. This is a complaint about DISH service. DO NOT ORDER DISH SERVICE!!!! I recently moved into my owned home in Santa Rosa after having leased it for a period of time. The former tenant had a DISH satellite installed without my knowledge or consent. The installation job is HORRIBLE - I cannot even count the number of cables and holes drilled into my house, and it is a complete eyesore. Furthermore, I am unable to take it down on my own. I called DISH customer service and corporate escalation lines to ask for someone to come out and remove this hardware as it is clearly branded DISH product. I was very disappointed to find that DISH Network will not come to uninstall this botched job and collect the hardware that will never be used at my address. As a fellow business person, I find it completely irresponsible that DISH would not take ownership of its own property and workmanship and make the problem right - regardless of whether I have an account with DISH or not. It is YOUR electronic equipment that should be properly removed and disposed of / reused or recycled; it was YOUR contract that has damaged the exterior walls of my property and left me with the expense of having everything repaired. This is a review for The Sea Ranch area. We had Central Valley Cable as our tv/internet provider for about a year and while the folks there were very friendly the quality of the internet/tv was unacceptable. We have DISH in our primary home in the Bay Area and thought we'd try it in Sea Ranch. I was a bit skeptical given the fact that the internet was satellite based and I've heard that it's not as reliable as cable/dsl internet. But we really had no choice, so we went ahead with DISH. They were exceptionally detailed leading up to the appointment to install the dishes (one for tv, one for internet) and were right on time. The installer was professional and very skilled, he got our system up and running in just a few hours and we're absolutely thrilled with the quality of service. The tv now has HD reception and it's crystal clear all of the time. The internet is fast and reliable. And the prices are reasonable. So if you're in The Sea Ranch and have had problems with other providers, definitely give DISH a try. read more

Dish is absolutely the worst!!! Tried to cancel the day of instillation because I thought it was an internet bundle. The installer tells me he won't get paid until he finished the installation and I can call and cancel anytime. So I call after he leaves and because he installed it I have to pay $450 to cancel even though I've had it for 5 mins. I'm while calling to cancel I've now waited a week for them to call back just so I can cancel that shit and now I'm getting billed. I just want to fcking cancel!!!! And I can't get anyone else to cancel it because it's gone to a senior advisor that I can no longer reach. read more

Good to know that they don't want customers...first time I called, I spoke to a man that seemed pretty nice and took my address. Told me that he was going to check coverage in my area...waited 15min then got hung up on. After that I called back and spoke to a very nice man, I can't recall his name but he took my info and transferred me to sales where I was told they have an Internet package for $75/month...where I CAN NOT EVEN STREAM MOVIES...when I asked if they had any other options I got hung up on. Ok so you're going to charge me $75/month to be able to check my email and online shop...doesn't seem like a good deal. Goodbye forever Dish. Avoid DISH like the plague! I have just had the worst customer service experience ever. My daughter moves out of her condo in November, calls to cancel service, returns equipment. The rep puts it down as cancel premium service. Now I am getting dunning calls at my house on MY number. DISH claims she owes money for service - basic service through January. Went through three levels of disempowered supervisors and finally got to"John" (sorry we cannot give out last names) who seem only able to recite the demand for payment over and over. Just got the Hopper and a Super Joey and I can not believe how cool it is. I waited two weeks longer than I needed to and it is awsome.

Working with Dish Networks customer service people has proven to be the WORST experience my husband and I have had with any customer service of ANY business. We moved into a different house and had every intention of still keeping our contract with Dish and just transferring the service. When the installer came out (who was very nice), he could not find a clear line of sight from anywhere on our property, therefore unable to set up service, and not be able to provide their services to us here. The installer proceeded to call the company for us to let them know that he could not set up. They proceeded to tell us that WE had to pay a $750.00 early termination fee, because THEY could not provide service!!! My husband spoke to everyone up to the "so called" Office of the President, and they still were not willing to waive any early termination fees!!!! Essentially we are NOT receiving their services, but they still would rather get paid $750 for us getting NOTHING! So rather than doing the RIGHT thing, and waiving the early termination fee, and possibly gaining our business back someday, they would rather loose our business forever over $750 (that they will never collect btw...) We plan on filing with the BBB, and the attorney general, and go to small claims court if that's what it takes. I've never heard of such atrocities with a big business. We have chosen to go with a different company, and will never go back to DISH network, as well as put this story in my husband's company news letter that services about 2400 clients!!!! I am not sure where the Dish Service for Rohnert Park come from but dealing with Dish proved to be time consuming at best and frustrating at worst. The install was great but the problem was communicating with their office was almost impossible. They were so busy and intent on up selling everything they did not seem to listen to what I really wanted and never fully explained the prices of all the upgrades they had. As a result I have asked them to remove anything that wasn't included in the basic price they advertized. Once again I say the service man was great and did a great job but their phone specialists are not. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DISH!!!! I would give ZERO stars if that were an option. DISH is astoundingly arrogant and could care less about providing any level of even adequate service to its customers. All it cares about is overcharging its customers. I am switching to Direct TV, which already is a totally refreshing breath of fresh air by providing honest wonderful, attentive service at a fair price. I wish I never had any dealings with DISH but at least now I am happy to be totally rid of this HORRIBLE company!!! read more
