The slag-heap was delicious. It comes with chili, pimento cheese, and salsa. I will definitely order it again. I also tried a build-your-own hot dog. I got chili, sport peppers, and shredded cheese on it. The peppers definitely gave it some heat. I enjoyed both hot dogs, and would order them again. It is a one man show, and he can get backed up as he can only get them out so fast. I also wish there were sides available - maybe fries or tots - instead of just potato chips. But all in all, the food is good, and I think we'll order from him again next time he comes into our area.

Once again anytime I review a new place I do my best to have at least one other person try it and this time it was a total of 4 of us. Yes 4 unsatisfied customers. I do not get joy out of posting bad reviews but it is what it is. We all ordered the same hotdogs The Blue Devil and The Jordan. Let's start with The Blue Devil it's just a chili cheese dog with just chili and cheese no onion no mustard how most usually come. First bit it was okay nothing special the hotdogs was lukewarm and the chili tasted like straight out of a can and the cheese was cold and not melted and a bun pulled right out of the bag so wasn't toasted or steamed almost stale tasting. Super disappointing. 5/10 The next one was The Jordan which consisted of Kraut Sauce (Kraut, Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Onions). Same boiled hotdog same tasting bun but the Kraut sauce helped a lot. This was actually really good and a step up from the last one but unfortunately it was also lukewarm. 6/10 Stati Jones had this to say "I could make that at home myself. 6/10" Rashad Caldwell also had this to say "My thoughts on the Hot dog food truck is it taste like something I can cook at home really the chili cheese dog taste like store bought like out of a can and the other one it tasted decent. Unfortunately Anthony W Evans II didn't make the deadline to send in his thoughts because he was stuck protecting and serving but just no he didn't really enjoy it and said never again. All in all I think it's safe to say we will never try this again unless something changes. It felt like there was no love no care for their product and I hate that because we are huge hotdog fans and we left feeling disappointed. When I go to a food truck or restaurant that sells hotdogs I don't want something that taste like I made it at home thats why I choose to go to a Gus's Hot Dogs or a Tonys Hot Dogs or even a Sneaky Petes and an honorable mention to Paul's Hotdogs & Grill Inc. I had to write a review of a food truck for a class, and this food truck was one of very few in Birmingham that offered vegetarian options and was open late. It was hard to find one that was open after I got off work. I would have probably never gone to this place except that it was one of the only options for my assignment, but I will recommend it to others who like to support local businesses and need a quick bite.

Its a very chill vibe, they have an awning and picnic tables. We both got the #2, Cheesy Birria Tacos. It was hands down, the best birria I have ever eaten. It came with 3 tacos on corn tortillas with consume, hot sauce, and a lime wedge. It was so filling that I could barely eat dinner several hours later. PLUS they have Jarritos which absolutely made my day.
