Would give negative stars if possible. I have scheduled two times with this business. The day before I get a text to confirm that I still want to continue with my appointment. I submit yes and think I can plan my day around the time I agreed to with two maids. Jokes on me. The first time my appointment was in the morning. I get a text 1 hour before they were supposed to show saying I am rescheduled to 1-3pm. No hey can you do this new time? Nope just you have been rescheduled. So my entire morning was wasted and I had to reschedule my afternoon plans. Today they rescheduled on me two hours before my agreed upon appointment and moved it up. I asked if I will be compensated $50 off since if it were the other way around I would have been charged. I am informed basically, management can't keep clients appointments that they agreed upon for that day if one of client cancels and I should be happy they gave me an hour back in my day (you know because they came early and screwed me out of my morning plans). They then also LIE and tell me they don't charge if their clients reschedule as long as it's the same day regardless of how much notice they give however their text message says differently. The maids are great but the management will waste your time with no consideration, no compensation and then tell you that you should be happy they did it earlier than what was agreed upon. I didn't complain the first time they wasted my time but 2 for 2 is completely unacceptable. Management is TRASH. read more

Yes you had my name in the system! The deep clean was charged $195 for a town home. The crew spent less than 2 hours to clean my home and we had to re-clean the home ourselves. I made a phone complaint to the scheduler and was told it was okay for the cleaning crew to kiss couple hairs on the counter or floor in the bathroom. I inquired about a re-clean and was told that I would not get one at all and dropped me as a client. Horrible and horrible customer service! Do not ever use this company! read more

Kendra and Destiny showed up on time and completed the task in the scheduled timeframe despite the air conditioning breaking on this hot summer day. They were professional, courteous, and methodical in cleaning my 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I made an appointment for a clean out. They called to change the time until later in the day. This was an inconvenience. The young ladies got there and it took them 5hours to clean a 1 for 2 bedroom condo. The brand new oven they damaged by using something that put dig marks in the bottom which we now have to pay for. The 2 young ladies were new both there less than 6 months and had no knowledge of cleaning appliance. When we noticed on the wall through the oven damage we called the office and the quality person came over to look. She never said that it was already scratched because it wasn't. When speaking to Lee he lied about the length of time these ladies worked there and that it was rust. Totally untrue. A stove brand new would not get rusted that quickly. We are being charged for the stove and that's bad your staffs mistake. I would never use this ser again because honest and integrity should be how you do business. Please don't bother responding with lies. Someone else when reading through your reviews said you hire young people who clearly are not experience. This is one of the hardest reviews I have ever had to post. I loved our cleaners. The sweetest kids you could imagine. The problem is they are kids and as such clean like my grandkids would. They did their best. The equipment they had to work with was poor. You cannot clean carpets with a hard floor sweeper. They dusted with a dry cloth which just spread the dust around and this is the major problem in our home. Anyway, for such a low price I wasn't expecting perfection but this failed even that. This was my first time having a cleaning service to my condo and I rate the job done about a 7.5 out of 10. CONS: The time slot I was provided the day before was incorrect from when the team arrived. The team came in and dropped their supplies in the middle of the floor instead of placing them out of the way. I had to ask for my toilet to be re-addressed because there were still a lot of hard water stains left after it was cleaned. I had to ask for my bar to be wiped down, it was not touched at all and also for the back of my kitchen counter to be cleaned where some items hadn't been moved to wipe off the counter. PROS: Overall my condo looks good. Good attention to detail with cleaning my appliances (microwave, oven, stove top, outside of fridge). Baseboards & window sills done well. We were moving to Virginia Beach from California and looked at a few Cleaning Services on Yelp. We settled on Two Maids after talking to a few of the businesses on the phone. The house we were moving to was pretty clean, but needed to be detailed and this wasn't something we wanted to do after packing in California, driving across the US, and then unpacking. I spoke to Lee at Two Maids and decided on the Move In Special. The cost we agreed on was $500 and I was led to believe that this would entail two maids working for approx. 8 hrs. and would cover all of our concerns. Imagine my surprise when our daughter called to say the cleaning crew called her after approx. 4 hrs at the house, saying they were done. I called Lee, and he said that the house was fairly clean already and didn't really need much work. The cleaning crew must have been alerted to my concern because they found "something" to do at the house for another hour or so, before telling my daughter they were done. When we arrived the next day from our drive, the house was fairly clean. But there were lots of issues in the kitchen and the cleaning just didn't come close to meeting my expectations for $500. I sent an email to Lee detailing the issues, and he responded that he "adjusted the teams compensation accordingly." I would not consider using Two Maids again. read more

I finally have time to sit down and write this review. I apologize since it is a long one. We scheduled Two Maids and a Mop to come and do a deep clean of our house before we put it up on the market. We had the cleaning done on December 7th and our realtor had scheduled photos and videos for that day as well. We had also scheduled the cleaning crew to come by and do a move out clean once we had moved out. When the two maids got here, they walked through the house and one of them clarified with me what was expected and then said "well, you're getting the move out clean in a month anyway" and I said yes, however, we needed a deep clean of the house now due to us putting the house on the market and that it needed to be spotless for the photos later that day and the open house that was scheduled for that Saturday. I told them I expected a deep clean which was everything that you don't normally get on an every day clean. I left with our daughter and our dog so that we would not be in the way however, my husband stayed as he had things he needed to do. The two maids were here for a little over two hours for the five hours they were scheduled. Once they left we had about an hour and the photographer got here. When I got home my husband told me that the maids had missed a majority of the house and all they did was clean the mirrors, the bath, vacuum, mop, and dust the fans. Which is what we would expect in an every day cleaning of the house. However, my husband had to go back and clean the top of the bath tub, the front of the cabinets, the corners of the floors as there was still dirt in them, dust on the furniture that had fallen from the fans when they had dusted them with a brush, all the doors had to be wiped down as they still had dust on them, the window tracks were only half cleaned, the bathroom floors which were not cleaned, both toilet bases which still had stains on them, the back splash behind the sink in the kitchen had to be wiped down, the top of the fridge was not cleaned, and the tile in the kitchen had to be mopped again because they had mopped the floor and then drug their vacuum over the wet floor leaving marks on the tile. The bath tub now has marks on it where they used a pumice stone on it so it looks half cleaned and the fan above the stove wasn't cleaned either. We had scheduled this cleaning in order to not have to worry about having to clean the house for the photos and the open house but we wound up having to clean it anyway. We also keep our house fairly clean anyway and we had 90% of our belongings in a storage unit so there wasn't much they had to work around. Having to go back and clean all the things that the maids should have cleaned added a ton of stress on us because we had so little time between the cleaning and the photographs for the house. We were highly disappointed especially since we paid about $420 for five hours of a deep clean. When I called and complained, the company (after two days of debating) gave us 25% off the clean we got which made the total cost around $315. We left it at that because we were preoccupied with trying to get the house on the market and the open house and we didn't see a point in fighting it, however we still feel as though the cleaning we got wasn't worth $50 let alone the $315 we paid. We decided to cancel the move out clean with them because we felt as though we couldn't trust that the cleaning crew would clean properly with us not there to say anything. read more

I am obsessed with how awesome of a job they did on my apartment! I have been stressed out and busy, so coming home to a clean space was more emotional than I expected. Sandy who is the main point of contact was friendly, professional, and took extra time to make sure I got exactly what I needed. I will definitely be a repeat customer. My only complaint is that they were almost 4 hours late, which made it kinda tricky with other plans I had that afternoon but other than that I'm very pleased! read more

Called Lee and requested his service for my Airbnb. Gave him my address and he agreed to go by the units to take a look and do a walkthrough. Lee called me from his car and stated to me he wouldn't even want to service my home or even want to get out of his car to even go look at my unit. He discriminated against my neighbors and neighborhood by stating it's ghetto, n that homeless was two blocks away at the community center and that dogs was roaming around unleashed. We have never had any issues in the neighborhood or any trouble. We have had many guests who have stayed at our Airbnb and never had an issue. As a matter of fact, we have tool box sitting in the open on the side of the house and never have gotten it stolen. I don't recommend anyone use Lee or his company no matter how good they are. I don't condone discrimination of any sort and this is by far the worse I've encountered. read more

EDIT: Within minutes of posting this review, I received a call to schedule a 2 hour reclean. The ladies did come back today for a reclean but 1) they were late, 2) they were here less than an hour, and 3) their demeanor was not as welcoming as last week. I listed the areas I would like them to touch up on, which still are not up to my satisfaction; specifically the doors, and once they felt they were done, they were practically on their way out the door. No walk through this time. Maybe my expectations are too high but as someone who keeps her house rather clean anyways, when you pay $375, you expect a cleaning better than what you can normally do yourself. From now on, I'll just take care of it myself. ****************************************** I received a deep cleaning from Two Maids and a Mop but the service I received was closer to a routine cleaning. I think they would do a wonderful job for a routine clean, but I would not recommend them for a deep clean. What I expect from a deep clean is a higher attention to detail where baseboards are scrubbed, doors are cleaned, handrails, etc. When the ladies completed their clean, they requested I walk through the house and point out anything they may have missed. The baseboards were still dirty, the outlet covers still had dust on top of them, doors were still dirty. When I pointed out those spots, they cleaned those areas with no complaint but I shouldn't have had to point those out. They did do a wonderful job cleaning the stove, glass table tops, hardwood floors but I would consider that as part of a standard clean. Almost a week has past and I'm still finding areas that weren't even touched: the bottom of the toilet, more baseboards that are dirty, more doors that are still dirty. I've emailed the coordinator with my feedback thinking maybe my expectations were too high or I didn't communicate my needs properly. I never received a response from her though. This company was more expensive than the others but I chose them because they provided the best customer service and gave thorough answers to all my questions. Moving is a stressful time and I wanted the move out clean to be done well and go smoothly. This company did an excellent job. It was definitely worth the cost. Two Maids & A Mop not only left my floors filthy they damaged a wall as well as personal property and left my home unsecured. Every single window was unlocked and cracked open. I contacted Lee Sheridan, the owner, to request a refund. He made no apology for the damaged property, did not offer to repair it, and refused to refund my money. Instead, he offered to send the crew back out to finish cleaning. I informed him that his team would not step foot in my home again. Why he thought that was a viable option is beyond me. After refusing to refund my money a second time I filed a complaint with my bank and sent them pictures of the damage, open windows, and dirt on the floors they clearly did not touch. My bank investigated the claim, agreed with me, and returned my money!! RESPONSE TO OWNER'S REPLY: Lee, the pictures posted online were from 3 years ago and were taken by a professional photographer I hired prior to moving in but that's some clever footwork on your part.. nice try! The rescheduling of the appointment on multiple occasions is irrelevant but since you brought it up your crew rescheduled the first time because they didn't know how to clean around a few boxes and wall decor left behind to stage the home. I rescheduled the second time because I had not yet made it back to the property to remove the boxes. I refused the reclean not because I didn't want to come back for a walk thru, as you suggested, but because your team did damage to my home and left it unsecured. Please go back and read your emails. Again, no acknowledgement on your part for the damage done to my home or personal property and certainly no offer to repair the damage. Lastly, the dispute was not reversed. I received a full refund through my financial institution. I gave you every opportunity to make this right and you chose not to. They understood we had special requirements for cleaning our floors and were very accommodating on the second visit to adjust their cleaning routine around me as I was teleworking from home and needed as little down time as possible. Tried to schedule a house cleaning with two Flops and a Mop. Manager and assistant field manager had a tough time scheduling us. Couldn't keep our information straight through many phone calls. Wrong address, wrong access, even wrong city (Norfolk instead of Virginia Beach). They kept changing the dates on us and Sandy, the manager was very condescending to us; even to the point of putting down the phone and doing something else while we were talking to her on the phone. So pick somebody else. There are plenty of other house cleaning services around in Virginia Beach. You don't need to use Two Maids and a Mop. With the interactions we had it shows a badly run franchise with people who don't care and can't communicate. The owner needs to know he is badly represented by his managers. read more

Management relies on text messages as main form of communication but may not respond to your texts back to them. I paid for an extra service (aka extra cleaning time) of having my refrigerator cleaned out (which, by the way, was a suggested service not my own idea) and the day of I was told they did not have time. So what did my extra cleaning time go towards?! I am still not clear nor have I received an answer from management. Cleaning is average but do not expect everything on the checklist to be completed. Cleaners will mark that they did not do several items, but that seems to be alright with management. I currently have layers of dust in my bathroom after having paid extra for "extra time" requesting dusting--who has a cleaning service and has a thick layer of dust on their soap dispenser?! Have had other issues but don't have the time to write all concerns. If you are looking for a cheaper service, this may be it, but you will get what you pay for--also, they hound you for tips--emails, texts--even when you pay the cleaners 20% tip in cash! read more

Very unfortunate that the owner of this company insulates himself from customers who have been overcharged purposely and then does not provide any recourse to the actions caused by this company. I keep a very small household budget account for this and a Nother service that are used on a regular basis we were lowered in to trying this company based on what we presumed was a professional and reputable franchise. I incurred over $125 in overdraft fees because they could not perform simple math on the initial invoice. They also wanted to charge for the square footage of our deck and garage of which they would never be cleaning let alone entering. Although the two workers seem to keep busy I spent most of my time on a webinar that I was recording and when it was played back I could clearly hear almost 20 instant message notifications coming from their phones and overhear comment about a group chat that they were having involving a coworker. While my credit union has now reimbursed the overdraft fees they only did so because of the complete disregard to the basic tenant of customer service that being, the customer is not always right, but the customer is the customer and when you have documented you have reached out multiple times to seek resolution and have received none it only makes it so much easier to go out of my way to tell people about my horrendous experience. read more

I have had a number of cleaning services over the years and eventually would switch b/c they were either unreliable, the quality of the cleaning deteriorated after they got comfortable, scheduling was a problem, etc. Two Maids & A Mop have been excellent on all accounts from ease of scheduling, great teams (Alex & Lakota are amazing!), exceptional service, and Lee the owner is professional, organized, and prompt - such a rarity these days.
