Incredibly bad experience with Two Men in a Truck. Our movers consistently cut corners which resulted in unnecessary damage to our home and to our items. We intentionally moved all fragile items prior to the move and tried to make the move as easy as possible from our one story home to another (a 10 minute commute). They didn't fully wrap our couches and scooted them along the truck, which resulted in dirty and damaged upholstery. Several dressers, tables, and items for our son's nursery were also scratched / damaged due to lack of care loading. They also told us if we wanted them work faster, we could "jump in to help" and I think my husband did a majority of the moving.... We paid for professional movers and did not receive professional service. The lack of care, accountability, and customer service was extremely frustrating. Very disappointing and would NOT recommend to anyone. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: After over a week of calling daily and being redirected to different employees our issue remains unresolved. The only progress that has been made was being told "they've seen worse and are sending photos to their repair man". We even paid for the additional insurance prior to the move to avoid this back and forth. As someone days out from delivery of their first child, this is the last thing I should be spending my time focusing on. Please don't risk your property or belongings! My home was damaged, the company isn't paying to fix it even though they admitted "negligence" and it's well documented. The manager won't give me his supervisor and has hung up on my husband and I. Not to mention on top of the property damage, i had all of my jewelry stolen which they refuse to acknowledge. Unfortunately I did not have a great experience with Two Men and a Truck during my move. The move itself was not ideal - one of the movers was very new and was constantly asking me about the value of my items and how much money I make, how much my rent is, etc. The movers also wasted about an hour and a half that I got charged for trying to unscrew a single screw on my bed frame that I could have provided the tool for if they asked. On the receiving end of the delivery it was okay. A pair of sunglasses and a watch totaling ~$500 (that were loose in the house at time of move) were "misplaced". I was told to file a police report for this. The movers also broke a TV of mine. Stuff happens, I get it. But the process of getting a refund or replacement was a mess. My move was in May and I just now got a check for less than the replacement value of the TV. I had to argue to get even that (was originally going to get less than the replacement value, which was already low, because the TV was used). I needed to call and text the Location Manager multiple times in order to get my reimbursement and had to resend information that I had already provided. Had I not repeatedly followed up I would not have gotten my reimbursement. Will be using Task Rabbit moving forward where at least the price matches the quality that is being offered. read more

EDIT- After working to a resolution through the Better Business Bureau, we are being refunded the cost of the packing job. It's reasonable to expect a small number of broken items in any move, but we have been through a truly distressing move with this company. I would caution anyone against hiring these guys. We hired them to pack, load, store for one week, then transport our property to Texas. The packers were actually drivers. A lot of our things were packed carelessly, a shelf of small family heirlooms was thrown in a large box without packing paper or protection of any kind. Other heirlooms were put in open baskets and lost. The loaders broke furniture in front of our eyes and when they ran out of room on the truck, they said "we got lazy" and had to call for another truck, which meant our items had to be reloaded after they had left our sight to consolidate to one truck, as was promised at the time we booked them. A lot of boxes showed up crushed. And 4 separate pieces of furniture were badly damaged and a mattress permanently stained because it ended up not having a cover. The claims process was pretty useless. The job was close to $9,000 and we have been refunded $650 for everything- a long list of broken items, damaged and broken furniture, and a lazy pack and loading effort. After three weeks of trying to negotiate for a fairer refund, we got an email saying that our refund check would not be sent because we still owed them for storage (we never received an invoice) so they were "calling it even" and closing our account. I have waited a month and a half on them to even give me a response/resolution to a damage made during my move. My couch is basically ruined and they could seem to careless! Besides this, the move did go ok but I have never dealt with a company that damages something and is in hurry to make it right! Also, they initially told me it was "sweat" - there is absolutely no way, upholstery cleaners confirmed it was in fact water damage and nothing could be done about it since it was a dry clean only couch! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Where do I begin? The movers they sent to my home damaged several pieces of furniture, set my mattress in a puddle of water, and dropped a TV on the edge and shattered the screen. Their claims processor is very non-responsive unless you contact the corporate office. And they offered us 1/3 the value of the items they destroyed. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!! Edit: some of the unprofessional behavior we experienced: my husband actually did as much work as any of the movers since they kept dragging stuff on the ground. This Company moved our daughter on July 24 and could not have done a worse job. They were very rough with the items moved and broke several items; they would not place boxes where requested; they damaged the new hardwood floor in several places and they would not reassemble the beds. I asked to file a claim for the damages and never heard a word from them. Paid them by check on July 24 which cleared the bank on August 3. On August 6 they sent my daughter a link asking for her CC information as they said the check had been returned for insufficient funds. I challenged them on this and provided a copy of the cancelled check. I do not know whether they are crooks or incompetents BUT, I do know I would never, ever use them to move anything I valued. read more

Seriously, one of my best experiences ever. Noone likes to move, that's assumed. And noone likes having to haul heavy boxes and awkward shaped things in and out from an event, either. I have not moved residences in 19 years, so in that regard, I feel for you if you're reading this because your life is relocating elsewhere. But I frequently manage events that have a lot of logistical supplies and just stuff that have to be loaded in and out. For years, the younger me tried to do everything all on my own, packing my Toyota SUV to the gills and making however many trips I had to. Then as things progressed, I shifted to renting a UHaul truck and again loading everything myself or with the help of my team, making however trips were needed. Three years ago, things progressed again and I outgrew the UHaul route, so in comes Two Men & A Truck. When I say these guys are fast, I mean while loading with each and every trip in and out of the building they run. Seriously, run up and down their ramps, run in and out of our office, I'd never seen anything like it. I asked if they were training for a marathon or something, and they told me no, it was just their policy to always run when on a customer's clock. Can you imagine that? When I say they are considerate, I mean I have probably done no less than a dozen moves with them by now (I know, what took me so long to write this review? IDK), and in those dozen moves, I have never had anything broken or damaged. Not even a light bulb, and I've moved a lot of lamps for check in desks. They are always prompt, sometimes even ahead of schedule a bit. Can you imagine that? The office staff while scheduling are super professional and honest about everything, and the drivers and movers have all been very pleasant and on point. So if I ever do move residences, and I sincerely hope I don't, there's no question who I will call. read more

They were terrible! FAST BUT CARELESS! The first thing they did was pile things up and then walked out the door carelessly. We had so many scratches and a broken piece off of our piano which they did not seem too remorseful about at all! The first question I asked when I set up the move was,"Do you move pianos?" The only reason I hired them was because they said they could move the piano. I did not know they meant they could throw it on the truck and break it before arriving 40 miles away. The guys who moved the furniture sweated on the cushions of our chairs. No apology and they barely talked to us. That'sI'm not sure these guys were trained properly. They did not care for our furniture like I would expect movers to do, and they did not put our beds back together. 5 weeks later and the piano is still not fixed! Ezekiel and Lane were the movers sent to assist with the move/transport and they were quick and efficient. I had some fragile items and had no worries or concerns with how they handled my items. They worked SO hard for 9 hours, barely taking a break, right at what they quoted price wise, with 3 stops (current house, storage unit, and rental), and they had awesome advice for how to transport/store delicate items without damage. Do not ever use these people to leave anything of value. One of the movers dropped my grandmothers antique marble top table and after going around within 14 months they are can you give me $150 in compensation. Apparently if you don't pay extra for more insurance they won't pay for your furniture that is damaged even though it was completely their fault. They are replying that it is closed but it is only closed because they will not reimburse me for the amount of the table. You shouldn't have to purchase insurance when you have a moving company to take care of your belongings! read more

I asked around for mover recommendations and Two Men and a Truck kept coming up (specifically this Franklin office). The guys (Robert and Todd) showed up on time, were courteous and respectful with our possessions and got everything from Point B (Bellevue) to Point B2 (Brentwood) in one piece. They were very careful not to damage the walls, floors or anything else in our new home while taking all the boxes and other furniture where it needed to go. Even better, they got the move done in less than the projected time, which saved us money (since TMAAT bills on a quarter-hourly basis). I was quoted a price for an additional trailer if my load exceeded what the estimator quoted. I did not know it was a rented U Haul that was filthy dirty. I was charged $100.00 more than quoted. I was promised that my furniture would be wrapped and padded. Upon arrival at the new residence the trailer was opened. My new white leather headboard was torn and covered in almost an ash substance. It had not been protected at all. They did not wrap my mattresses as promised and were also delivered dirty and torn. On top of all that they tracked in the black substance all over my new carpeting throughout the entire home! These items were not cheap. The movers took pictures and told me not to worry that somebody would be contacting me. That was on June 13, 2014. It is one month later and I have yet been able to speak with Tyler. I have called and left at least 6 messages; he will not pick up the phone when they inform me that he is in and he never calls me back. Micah was my sales rep and he has been very nice, but can't seem to help me with my issues with the move. When we were fully moved into our new house we realized that all of our wine glasses somehow didn't make it, a bottle of Lortab from my wife's C-section was missing and the Tiffany necklace I bought her for our wedding was also missing. Used the Franklin, TN, franchise on Columbia Ave. Contracted for three men, however, they sent only two men. As a result, they dropped my gun safe on its face, smashing the locking mechanism. They mailed some of the replacement parts to me but they were the wrong finish and did not contain all of the parts for a repair. They expected me, without any experience whatsoever, to do the repair. Now they won't even return my calls despite their headquarters assuring me that they would. I had even purchased the insurance; obviously a waste of money. Had to turn over to an attorney to pursue. I've used several moving companies over the years and these are the worst. read more

I chose this company because I knew them from "back home" in Ann Arbor, MI. My friend Travis worked for the company for several years. I am a huge fan of the charity work you're involved in as a company, and you support causes close to my heart. You provide much needed services to survivors of domestic violence, and I myself once was in such a position as to need help moving because of domestic abuse. Your workers treated my stuff like it was their stuff, and were positive thru the whole move. They were late. They the trucks and had to go back. I was charged. They broke my curio cabinet. They ripped up my leather couch. All sorts of nicks out of my wood furniture.Broke glass shelves in my new condo. S arched the walls of the house I was moving out of. They left things behind to put together furniture like the slats for the back of my mirror The glass shelves for my China cabinet. Even though they went back to the house again they left a ton of stuff. It was a disaster area. Oh and the estimate was three hours off. I was expecting a bill of $2400 and have a bill of over 3000 I wouldn't use them if somebody paid me! I've put a complaint in bed I have not heard anything back from the company so far. I'm thinking of having a stop payment on the check. Update it gets worse from there they scratch the floors supposedly in the house that I moved out of they only cover up to $750 now I am having problems with the people that moved into my house over the floors that two men and a truck scratched read more

Great experience with this company! They arrived on time, took time to wrap and care for all of my furniture and loaded and unloaded with speed. The guys (Michael, Edward and James) were friendly and professional. I had a cheap dresser with a weak leg that ended up breaking in the move - not the fault of the movers at all - and I was impressed that as soon as they noticed it, they called it to my attention. I appreciated that they pointed it out and asked how I wanted to handle it. Do not use this company for your move. They will be very price competitive, but that is where the good ends. They were late for their originally scheduled start time. Their movers moved like molasses. They did not pack items well meaning they did not place packing material around fragile items such as pictures. I had to assist them in packing items at the end of the day as a result of their lack of moving with any purpose throughout the day. They were nearly four hours behind the delivery. When we called to find out why they were so late, they would not provide answers (because they would not commit to the truck not leaving on time). To beat it all, the general manger hung up on us and would not take our follow up calls. We had to call the national office to have them communicate with the local company. To sum it up, they will bait you with a low price, then will not meet deadlines, have terrible customer service, and generally fail to meet your move expectations. read more

I have to give this place just an OK review. It wasn't a horrible experience, but also not a great experience. It wasn't great enough for me to want to use them again for any future moves. I called to book the move, and was told the movers would be there between 8:30 am - 9:30 am. My "pre-move letter" that was emailed to me also had this time. So, at 9:40 am on the day of the move, I called the office to confirm movers were still coming. I was then told that they don't arrive in my city until 9:00 am - 10:00 am. I questioned him on being told the wrong times and having the wrong time on the paperwork, and his response was "Yeah, they need to change that." 10:15 am, and the movers arrived. They took a look at everything in our 3 bedroom apartment, and the few things we had left in our outdoor storage unit, then began loading the truck. When they started wrapping our dining room table, they simply lifted the top off and laid it on a blanket, then started to wrap it. We told them that the top of the table needed a blanket over it as well since the majority of it was exposed, and they told us they would just wrap it with plastic wrap and it would be fine. A couple of hours in, they randomly left to drive down to the storage unit to load that stuff. This wouldn't have been a problem if they hadn't left our furniture and boxes all over the front of the unit lawn and in the hallway. I came down the stairs just in time to catch a box from falling off a chair that was blocking the hallway as someone tried to walk past it. I ended up sitting in the summer noontime sun (while pregnant) for about an hour to make sure our stuff wasn't stolen, pushed over, or peed on by a dog. In the assortment of furniture was the top of the dining room table, with the exposed top leaning against a stone pillar. When they got back, the truck was full. One of the guys said, "Yeah, I didn't realized you had so much stuff, otherwise I would have packed the truck higher." So then, they ended up putting stuff in our personal vehicles for us to drive over to the new house. One of the guys went to throw a dining room chair in the back of my personal truck, and I had to yell at him to stop because the chair needed to be covered to prevent the Rhino-liner from scratching it up. Once we arrived, and everything was unloaded, we did a quick inspection to make sure everything looked ok. Not surprisingly, we discovered the top of the dining room table had deep scratches in it. When we pointed it out, they asked if we wanted to fill out a damage report, to which we obviously said yes. The damage report for the table said we would be contacted in two days. After a week goes by and we haven't heard anything, I call the office about it. I was then told that it takes about 5-7 days to hear back, but that the person in charge was on vacation, so I wouldn't hear anything until the following week. I again brought up the fact that the paperwork said "two days," and was told, yet again, "Yeah, they need to change that." When I finally got a call about the damage, it was a voicemail letting me know that they were sending someone out Friday morning, and that company would be contacting me. He also apologized and told me the movers never gave him the damage report (so had I not called, I would have never been contacted). On Friday morning, after the furniture company came out, I get a call from Two Men telling me they were going to be sending someone out for the table, and I asked, "Do you not remember calling me earlier this week about this?" His response, "Are you sure it was me?" Me: "Yes, I still have the voicemail. You're the only one who handles this stuff, correct?" Him: "Yeah, it would be me, I just didn't have any notes about it." In the end, they ended up "totaling" the table and will be sending a check for an insignificant portion of what the table actually cost. I guess the blame falls on us for that, for not micromanaging and demanding the movers do their job correctly and cover the table. Overall, I'm left with the impression that no one at this location knows what they're doing. I don't know that this is true of the entire company, but this particular unit just doesn't seem to have it together. The Franklin office of Two Men and a Truck did a great job with my recent move. I had two large storage units filled to the brim with furniture and boxes. I had two trucks and five men for the job. They were all professional, had good attitudes, and worked quickly. They moved everything to my new home and were very careful not to scratch anything. They treated all of my belongings with care and put my two beds together. They completed the job in less time than estimated. I would use them again and recommend their services. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had!!! Move yourself for less than half the cost and save a tremendous amount of frustration too. They are quick to take your money then forget what needs to get done. Customer Service is ZERO!! You'll get no satisfaction from these people. This was move # 55 for me and I had to make 4 extra trips with a car over 4 weekends and spend an additional $800 to get everything out of an apartment because when the truck was loaded they left a 2-3 foot empty area from the ceiling of the truck to the actual household goods. Upon complaining and forwarding photos a couple of times the management there seen nothing that was wrong. This tells me that substandard loading, service and caring is their norm. read more

Unfortunately our last move turned into a very bad experience. While we had been diligent in selecting a mover, and didn't opt for the lowest price, Two Men and a Truck grossly underestimated the necessary hours to complete our move and apparently didn't plan well for the needed vehicles to finish the move. Working with the estimator who walked our house we were moving from, our move was quoted for a 5-7 hour, two truck move. Day one took 10 hours. Day two, I received a call from the operations manager who said they would not show up to move the largest items until I approved a credit card charge. Day two took another 4 hours. In total this was double the original estimates. Had we determined the move would take double the time and money quoted in the estimate we would have never selected the service. I think their service might be reasonable to move a single room apartment but would not recommend Two Men and a Truck to move anything that you should otherwise select a professional mover to complete. read more

Movers showed up an hour & a half later than expected. Original time estimate was between 6-8 hours to move a 3 BR home + garage an hour away. We had 2 trucks, 5 men AND my husband doing as much work as the movers. I walked by one of the men complaining to the estimator at the office saying he was told our move would only take 5 hours, which was a little offputting. I considered buying the insurance option and was told there was no way I would need it by the head of the crew. Fast forward.. we had to pay for 9 hours.. it took so long that we just had them put boxes in the garage instead in the rooms they were destined for. They busted a leg off of one of our armoires - that was the damage they told us about. My husband gave the whole crew tips anyway.. it was when we started putting our rooms together a few days later that we saw 4 or 5 deep scratches on our very large entertainment center, deep scratches on my daughter's bedroom hutch, a piece of granite broken off on one of our nightstands (the top is made of granite) and scratches on a lot of my art, which I was assured they would take the utmost care with. I would have stacked it in my SUV had I thought there could have been an issue there. I messaged the salesman, filled out an unhappy survey and have yet to hear one single word from anyone. read more
