To let everyone know what happened.... This company did NOT HELP! They told me that I should have got a separate contract to ensure my valuables. THATS WHY U SIGNED YOUR CONTRACT! Then they did NOT REPLACE OR PAY FOR MY ITEMS, they refused! And because of their "fine" print, they got away with it!!! I'm so over them!!!! I have used Two Men and a Truck for several moves in the past. This was the worst experience. The guys were super nice, but as I look around ( I moved a couple,of weeks ago), I notice the damage. They marred the wood on my sofa and there is red dirt on 2 recliners and 1 oversized chair. I pointed out the dirt on one of the recliners, but apparently the damage was either already done or they ignored me. The previous move they damaged the frame of a large mirror which I pointed out to the estimator and foreman. This move I did not trust them to move my large artwork and I am glad. They moved two rooms for me. A dining room and a bedroom all from Ashley Furniture Northshore collection. That's some expensive furniture that is discontinued so I've pride myself in keeping it in Pristine condition. Well they broke one of the chairs beyond repair and chipped another chuck out of another chair. I let that chair slide and put it in the closet for my police officer husband to sit in and get dressed. They're only offering me $6 for the chair but said he will cut me a check for $20. If you know or heard of Northshore furniture then you know how much it cost. This is unacceptable to destroy people merchandise and are not willing to give them a fair market price for the damaged furniture. I will never use this company again. read more

I called on Wednesday, and they were able to schedule me for that Friday morning. Whitley in the office was amazing - super friendly and helpful - and communicated with me during the entire process. She even called during the move just to make sure everything was going well. Friday morning, the guys arrived on time, and were extremely quick and thorough. Nothing was prepared for these guys, as this was an unexpected event, but they handled everything with great care and the utmost respect. They had my daughter's belongings loaded, transported, and unloaded in under 2 hours. Everything was done safely and securely. This situation was stressful enough for my family, but Two Men and a Truck just swooped in and relieved all of the stress from the event. Their employees not only ripped shreds in my leather sofa but tore the leg off of a antique dining table that can't be replaced...and they have refused to make it right. If you have to move...and you have a choice between borrowing an ox-cart and the assistance of 2 buddies or Two Men and a Truck...choose the ox-cart every time!!! Two Men broke things, lied about the contract (We paid to move 2/3 of a truck full of air), and did very little to make up for their mistakes. I have moved many times in my 75 years and have been moved by every major--and a few local-- carriers. Two Men and a Truck rates in last place by a long stretch. They even borrowed my neighbor's jumper cables when their truck broke down and refused to return the cables or compensate him to make it right. To think that they would risk damaging their reputation over $9 worth of jumper cables showed us both bad faith and even worse management. Anything for a buck! read more

I would not recommend TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. They have a high turn over rate and I'm still dealing with issues were their driver damaged my property back in December! Their vendor @Dustin Elliot have yet to return to fix the damage that he made worse! I've been calling every week and the excuse is because of the rain. There has been several days in which it has not rain and still I come home and see a damaged property! They pay the workers $10 a hour and they charge $20 plus a hour. You send inexperienced movers, who can't lift a mattress and it took 12 hours to the point my family started helping them take stuff off the truck. I paid for service December 23rd and today is March 21st. Still have not resolved the issue that they created! read more

I used two men and a truck twice and I would use them again. We brought our first home and we moved out of a up stairs apartment with very narrow stairs so it was not a easy job. The men assigned to our move worked efficiently, yet also handled our belongings with care. They even moved our stuff during a fairly heavy rain! They volunteered to move several items that we didn't list in our estimate. After all was said and done, the price they charged was lower than their quote! Initially we had a wonderful experience so it was no question that we would use their services again. It took maybe 2.5 hours for them to move my grandmother. This time was a complete 180. First they arrived late. They then got lost on the way to the second destination. For the same 1 bedroom apartment, it took 4.5 hours. They were also not careful and left visible marks on furniture and the walls. 1 MONTH later, after a $100 deposit and $495 charge had already been paid, they charged my account an additional $275.88. When I called to ask why there were additional charges, the response was that they did not charge me enough. I understand that the time was calculated wrong, but that is not my problem. That was a mistake of the business. And to charge my debit card without my knowledge is terribly unprofessional. Not to mention that BOTH managers were very rude. The first man I spoke with was rude from the time he picked up the phone. The very nice receptionist, who I had no issues with explaining what happened had already informed him what the call was about. He picked up the call as if he was already aggravated that I was calling and asked what he could help me with. Giving him the same story, his response was that the price was based on the hours and that the charge was legitimate and there was nothing he could do about it. He even asked me "Do you even know what you signed?" WOW! How insulting is that?! I know that on the day of service I was charged $495 and I was made to believe this was the entire charge. I asked to speak with someone who could fix it because I did not give permission for my card to be charged, he acted as if he did not know when the manager would be in, but said that he would tell Denise to give me a call. He was very condescending and rude and treated me as if I was just trying to get over on them. I was very upset by the end of the call. He claimed that I had been yelling at him for 8 minutes when in actuality I was very nice and polite when I called and only got upset after he showed me that he had no remorse for what happened and did not want to take any accountability for the mistake of his business. I told him that I would make sure this exchange between us would be public, he says "go ahead" he didn't care. I waited until the next day to call back and was again greeted by a very nice receptionist that transferred me to another manager. I again explained what happened. She was nicer than the man and apologized that this happened but also got aggravated that I would dare ask for the money back that they took without permission. She said several times, "well your call was regarding the time we charged you for and it is correct, is there anything else I can help you with" completely disregarding that they should have never taken the money in the first place. They both treated me as if I were wrong for wanting money back that I never knew I spent. She eventually offered to give me a refund I believe of $88. (Her first offer was $41) Needless to say, my experience was disappointing and upsetting. I don't feel money should be taken from anyone without their knowledge. A simple phone call saying the charges were wrong could have rectified the situation and I could have been prepared for them to take the funds. Taking money from my account an entire month after the service was rendered, without my knowledge, seems like a horrible business practice. It makes me wonder if they keep others information on file to charge them later as well. How many people have they done this to? I would not trust them again and I would discourage anyone to use their services. read more

Avoid at all costs. We contracted them to move us 5 hours away. A manager came out and gave me a quote, which was reasonable. On the day of the move, only half of out belongings would fit in the trucks and the manager tried to exhort considerably more money out of me to move the other half. Classic bait and switch. My family ended up renting a U-Haul to get some of our stuff to the new house. We have since made multiple trips in a van and still don't have all our things. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and, after some time, the company won--based on the tricky way they word the contract. In the contract, they specify how many trucks and works they will provide. They do not promise to move all your belongings. Therefore, in the letter of the law, the company can justify its tactics. However, in the spirit of the agreement--move your goods for an agreed upon price--they fail miserably. Avoid this poor excuse for a company. I will never consider 2 Men and a Truck ever again, and nor should you. Caveat emptor. read more

Moved 12/31/2015 from apartment to storage unit, seemed to go well, even though they ran late. Moved from the storage unit to new apartment the first week of March 2016, personnel very nice, ran very late due to first over-scheduling, and then I missed them when they did show up. Several calls to office but no calls returned. Finally the men moving me got in touch with me, they were exhausted but on instructions from management they completed the move at 8 PM. I bought them burgers as they had not had a lunch break. As we loaded items from the storage unit we found several items that had been damaged in the 12/31/2015 move, as noted on the new invoice. Furniture was not un-assembled properly, bed frame bent and still attached to head board, but worst of all a crack in the rear left leg of my buffet...........called and left several messages but no one returned my calls. I used them for my move in June. They were courteous, on time and efficient. We fed them and tipped them well and I wish I could have done more. The owner even stopped by to make sure everything was going well. I think one of the guys was nervous because he dropped and broke my big green egg. They moved, disassembled and reassembled 12K lbs of my possessions and this was the only thing that went wrong. Even though by contract, they didn't have to pay for the entire egg, they did anyway and sent me a check. BIG $. I am impressed...would use them again and recommend to anyone. this is the worst excuse for a company that i have ever experienced. they did not move my belongings for many days; charged me more money than quoted; broke almost every piece of furniture i owned; broke stained glass, stole my liquor stock, a brand new gas grill, and on and on and on. i felt as if they hired work release help to move me and there was not a supervisor there at all!!!!!!they did not even bring any water with them or any lunch. i had to provide everything. all of my belongings were already in a storage unit that was very accessible and they only had to move me to a home a couple of blocks away. they opened my boxes and took whatever they wanted. avoid at all costs. you will not receive a refund under any circumstances. read more

I called them for an estimate on moving a family member. I was told what it would costs and that we wouldn't have to pay anything until the furniture was delivered. After scheduling the move and thinking everything was set, I received a call saying that they now wanted to put a $2500 hold on my credit card!!! I couldn't believe after all the scheduling and communication that I had with them and now they decide they want money down! Not to mention the girl was VERY rude that I talked to. So I found a MUCH better company and they did the move for $2000 less and told me up front they only needed a $500 deposit. Lazy movers and terrible customer service. This is my third time using this company and the first two times were a pleasant experience, but this time I was stuck with lazy and careless movers. I called the supervisor after one of the movers was sitting in the truck on the his phone while me and the other mover were setting up a bed. Supervisor came out and I showed him the mud that was on my furniture and a lamp shade that was destroyed with mud and some sort of dirty water. It had been dropped on something. Supervisor apologizes and told me he couldn't make any decisions but the owner could and he's out of town. The next day I'm unpacking and find broken furniture. I'm furious and call trying to get some answers on how they are going to resolve this. I get transferred to a man named Rob with zero customer service skills. He says hello about five times and I repeatedly ask if he can hear me. He can but then with attitude tells me he doesn't know what's going on. Multiple times he told me "I don't know". he eventually hung up on me after I was extremely frustrated. He told me my couches were dirty before from a pet and that I dropped the lamp shade. Someone who knew nothing was quick to put blame on me. I called hoping someone would give me confidence that they would take care of a returning customer but I learned nothing can get done if the owner is out of town. I still tipped my movers and thanked them for the service. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I know not to use this company. read more

The last time I moved...about 12 years ago I used 2 men and a truck. I decided to use them again, so I thought. I Called 3 different times over several days and at different times. No one ever answered the phone, so I left messages. On the 4th attempt I actually spoke to someone who immediately transferred me to a different voice mail, so I left another message. I needed to move so I called Azalea City Movers here in Mobile, my phone call was answered and they moved me the next day. 5 days later and still have not received a phone call from 2 men and a truck. They damaged my 60" Plasma TV. After a month of trying to figure what they were going to do about it and not answering most of my calls about it, they finally paid me a small portion of what the TV was worth. Their reasoning for only paying me a small amount, "it was only a $1200 move so we can't justify buying a new TV". I guess it is more justifiable to make me have to pay the moving expenses (they have to be paid in full before you can claim damages) plus buy a new TV. In addition to being careless in handling the items they are moving, their workers are also extremely lazy. My wife clearly labeled every single box with the room that they were supposed to be put in but instead they just stacked them all in the living room and promptly left (after all three of them hounded me about a tip, of course). Leaving my wife and I to carry most of the boxes upstairs on our own. I would recommend going to anyone besides them for your moving needs. read more
