My elderly mom lives in coastal SC, and when my husband and I needed to move her to a smaller home, we utilized Two Men and a Truck. We are all too old for a "pizza and beer" style move. Troy, the representative who helped me through the pre-move estimate and paperwork, was wonderful to work with. We weren't 100% sure on the date of our move at first, and they were willing to wait and work with us to make sure we got the earliest date possible but best date for us. Troy's estimate also recommended three men, which we were fine with and booked. We received a call about 30 minutes before they arrived, and once they arrived, they got to work. When you book Two Men and a Truck, you're charged a travel fee and an hourly rate. I was worried that in a rural area, we would be charged a higher travel fee, but we were not. The company has a large service area. The three gentlemen who moved my mom's two-story home to the smaller one-story ranch did an excellent job. The price was incredibly fair for the service and professionalism we received. Nothing was broken, and the crew took good care of my mom's belongings as if it were their family member's move. they provided recommendations on where to place furniture in my mom's new-to-her home. Everyone was super professional and worked FAST. In fact, they finished the move a bit earlier than we expected. Paying with credit card or cash after our service was very easy, and we gave a well-earned cash tip. I recommend Two Men and a Truck for anyone in the Grand Strand for a move. Do not use Two Men and a Truck (Conway, SC location specifically) if you have a large TV. We hired them for a full move with two trucks and four movers. Our 85-inch TV was clearly part of the move, was discussed, and was packed/wrapped by their crew. After the move, we discovered the screen was cracked and the TV was ruined. Yes, we were told the morning of the move that TVs are not covered, and we signed the paperwork. But at that point, we were already moving that day and had no realistic alternative for a 100+ pound, 85-inch TV. That kind of policy should be made crystal clear during the estimate, not when the truck is already there. A moving company should not agree to pack and transport a large, expensive television and then take zero responsibility if it is damaged. "We'll move it, but if we break it, that's your problem" is not acceptable. I spoke to the manager, Keith, and told him we were happy with the move until discovering the broken TV. We generously tipped the 4 movers and I was planning to recommend them as I'm a realtor. He would not give a penny toward our loss. We are now out the cost of replacing an 85-inch TV, which is approximately $2000. I absolutely do not recommend this company. read more

We call and outlined everything to be moved. When they got to the house they advised they could not move the treadmill. Everything has been moved and the only thing left in the entire house is a treadmill. Had they been translations upfront from the beginning, I could have used a mover who knows how to disassemble a treadmill - I thought moving was their business??? Guess I was wrong. Zero rating. 2 men and a truck moved my bigger objects. Awesome. The gentleman asked if I wanted insurance. I accepted. Thought they were professional. Well during the move my couch got ripped. Told the driver/movers about it. He said I'll put it on a slip of paper and turn it in. We'll he lied. So did the owner or management. They denied my claims with pictures to prove it. Thus has been several months and I see these commercials on tv that they support and care about veterans. 22 years of service. This company does not care. They denied my claim. With proof. So their tv commercials are false. Their just words to try to improve business. All of my fellow veterans please stay away from this company. I paid for Insurance. I could have taken many struggling vets to a nice meal or gotten them groceries. Think about it. They stole my money and ripped my personal belongings. read more

Not impressed at all. We have utilized their service before but this experience was the worst ever. Three people showed up. One seemed to take charge and wanted it done at any cost!! The biggest cost being that they tossed our furniture into the truck. That's right TOSSED! I had plastic wrapped my jewelry chest tower. They then blanketed it for travel. I had no problem with that. However, in their tossing things they put it on its side!! Who does that? Many items were just "tossed up there" at the leaders request. Also they are two high priced. For a very short distance.....about 5 miles or less..... they are too high priced. Mind you we moved almost all of our boxes. They cost us over $1200 and to top it off they added a 10% tip to the bill. My husband signed the paperwork and did not notice It. I noticed when I finally went to file it. Needless to say, when I began sorting and pairing the jewelry I was none to pleased. read more

I had Al and Josh and if I could I would rate them a 10. They arrived on time in the pouring rain and handled my "stuff" with the greatest of care. They were polite, charming and funny on occasion. They moved me from single family, one level home to a second story apartment without a misstep. I have used them previously and I would use them again. (Hopefully not soon). read more

Horrible experience with these guys. Don't go there. They promised a large 24-26 foot truck then brought a small one and expected me to pay the extra time and trouble for them to make several trips back and forth to load and unload my things. The guys took a short lunch break during one of the trips back and forth and they wanted me to pay the time for that too! When I protested the owner got me on the phone and yelled at me as if to intimidate me into paying. I had kept track of the time and was willing to show him what happened since he was not there but he wouldn't hear any of it and since his son who was there was too browbeaten to tell him what happened I got no support for my dispute. Who needs this drama when you have enough worries when moving. Never again and they are sure to agree likewise. read more

Could not have asked for a better experience. The guys were on-time, professional, and did a great job in crazy heat moving furniture to the third floor. They maintained their sense of humor and speed throughout and I could not be more grateful. Not only did they empty their truck as the last load of the day, but then helped me and my daughter get our last load from my truck. We used this service when moving from North Myrtle Beach to Little River. They showed up late by one hour. Then they took from 10 am to 6 pm to move a small two bedroom's furnishings to a home only five miles away. Some time during this project they lost some of our things. We did not notice until we started unpacking the next day. I have a feeling that they didn't take everything off the truck for some reason. We didn't check the truck unfortunately. Something was up with the main guy who was involved with this move. I don't know what. I think you should think twice before using this service. read more

WOW! I'm impressed. I live out of state and needed to help my Mom move her belongings to a storage unit as she is getting ready to move closer to home. I was very worried that she would be taken advantage of especially since I wasn't able to be with her during this time. She is 82 years old. When I spoke with her on the phone she said everything went wonderfully. The men were very respectful and move efficiently and got the job done in less time than anticipated. When calling for a quote to load and unload a POD, Kyle informed me they are not allowed to load a POD or personal vehicle. Very disappointed as Two Men and a Truck advertise locally and does not explain their limited service. Also, as I was unable to use their limited services, I just wanted to give them one star-NOPE-the site would not let me do one star and write a review-had to give 2 stars to access the review. I hired them to move from a third floor apartment to a second floor approximately 80 miles away. Leroy and Adrian got to the apartment 30 minutes early and got right to it. They had a two bedroom two bath apartment loaded up and ready to go in two hours! I was amazed. The entire move took 6 1/2 hours and everything was perfect. Outstanding job guys. Great job with this company. I have used them at least three times with good results. The guys were friendly and moved quickly.

From a hole in my new refrigerator, my hardwoods scratched in several places, a 4" scratch on my dining room table, black hand prints and sweat on my off white sectional, scratches and nics on my entertainment unit, bedroom dresser, sofa table and dining room chairs and every wall either had black marks or a nic in the wall. I would not use these people to move the furniture in a doll house. The had 3.3 miles to go! I built a new house and I am having to fix everything. They also doubled the quote when it came time to pay. The guys that they sent to me knew nothing about moving except for Quinton, but he could not do it all. I now have an estimate to fix everything at around $2000. So far, out of pocket, I have spent $730. I would advise anyone needing a mover to just look at the pictures I am posting. I also have video of their worker throwing my off white sectional pictures on the road. Never bother to bag them. Every mover I have spoke to gave told me that pillows are always bagged. read more
