HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE: To everyone considering a moving company, DO NOT USE Two Men and a Truck. Please support local owners who will actually work with you when there's a claim. Unlike them, this large franchise will hide behind waivers and paperwork, telling you, "you didn't get additional insurance," and that you signed the contract. My experience with them was awful from start to finish. Their response to my problem took forever, and there was no urgency or importance given to resolving it. Communication was terrible -- it truly felt like they did not care at all. Even worse, they broke two expensive pieces of furniture worth over $2,500 and only offered compensation at 60 cents per pound. In the end, I got a ridiculous check for just $190.18. All because I didn't buy additional insurance. Yes, it's on me for trusting them and not reading every small-letter detail of their contract, but in all my past moves with local companies, I've never had these kinds of problems -- no tricks, no hidden clauses, and certainly no disregard for customers. Please read the reviews about this company before you even think of hiring them. My strongest advice: if you do decide to use them, make sure you get additional insurance -- otherwise, you'll lose a lot of money if they damage your furniture (and chances are high they will). Run away. They sent two movers that stunk of weed. They broke 90% of what they moved and the best part about it is that after they broke my daughter's crib I was told I had to let them finish the move! Then, they proceeded to put holes in my walls, snap my sleep number bed frame in half, chip tiles in my new home, scratch a hurricane impact door and ruin a bedroom door by trying to shove the broken crib through the door frame without taking it apart. Then, it took over a month to send Cordova repairs to my home who further damaged the crib by sanding it and painting it with the wrong color. I was told they would make it right, but that never happened, and as far as my broken $8k bed I was offered $200. Run far away. read more

Unprofessional and inexperienced. They had trouble taking apart a bed. When I checked on them, they were laying on floor in bedroom on phone doing nothing. Waiting 45 min for their boss to tell them what to do while they charged me $270 an hour. Rude behavior also when asked a question. Wondered if they were screened or had background checks. Don't recommend. Oh I also asked for 3 men to make the move easier--so I was paying an extra $90 an hour for third man doing nothing. They also forgot to load some things in truck. read more

Do not use them I repeat do not use them, I cannot stress how bad this company is. My bill started at 800 the Magically went to 900 for supplies. They only had to move a bed a dresser a night stand some bags and 2 side tables. They started at 1:25 at 3:25 when I called the driver he claimed he is in the highway which was a lie i was only moving 15 minutes down the street. Matters worst they left a few of my items at the house and broke my TV, and I had to set up my bed by myself no help from them . Then have the audacity to offer me 25.00 for my 65 inch Samsung Tv that I paid almost a 1000.00 for last year. Two Men and a truck helped us move this past Saturday. We worked with Dominic, and I forget the other guys name and his dad Billy. Billy had to leave suddenly and unexpectedly but they had more help on the way within 30 min. The guys were unbelievably professional, kind and efficient. I had an excellent experience with the movers from this company. Ali and Kenton, both very experienced movers, wasted no time getting my one bedroom apartment moved and finished right on schedule (9am - 1pm). The move was from apartment building to a storage facility. They arrived early and got to work and were professional, knowledgeable, understood the limitations on space in the storage room and how to make my contents fit in the storage room with room left to spare. Both Ali and Kenton were professional, personable, easy to work with, and very capable and careful with my belongings. They wrapped the furniture items that had fragile exteriors, wrapped mattress and boxspring and boxed sofa cushions, pillows, etc. All in all, a very professional job and their hard work made my move easy. Terrible! They sell you liability insurance and then won't pay for the damages that you incur because of their negligence. They also sold me three TV boxes and never used them. My TV's came off of the truck wrapped in a blanket and shattered. Afterwards of course, there is no such thing as the "full value coverage" that I purchased as stated on my estimate. This is the worst moving experience I have ever had- and I have moved often. My furniture was damaged during the move and maybe during storage since our expensive leather couch had mold on it. After several emails and phone calls with John Schmidt the "Operations Manager" and even a call to the corporate office in Lansing MI, still no resolution. They lost several articles, damaged a lamp due to poor packing ruined a $4,000 leather sofa and are totally unresponsive. Be very careful. It's a bait and switch operation for sure! Everyone from our move went great until we could not find some kitchen supplies unpacking. We paid for one room to be packed and they forgot to pack a cabinet. When I called to have this fixed, they had made some concessions that I agreed with. They did not follow thru as well as telling me I was wrong. Stay AWAY! When initially contacted the company, I was quoted $340 for my move- Inclusive of labor and travel. I was advised if the surcharge, which I know is a norm in moving companies. Mind you I had and 8x10 unit with a bed and small items. Not only were they over 6 hours late, but before unloading the truck they tell me my total is $550 after a deposit of 125$ - SCAMMERS !!!! I am very disappointed in this company. Although the move went smoothly and the three men they sent were polite and professional, they deliberately tricked me into paying more money. I told them all the items that they would need to pick up and move for me. They said I would need three men and two trucks because I had too many items to fit in one truck. When moving day came, they realized they only needed one truck. So we only had one truck with three men; however, they STILL had me pay for both trucks. I requested for the additional cost to be deducted as we didn't need both trucks and it's not my fault that they sent the extra truck. A women called to confirm they would refund me $350. After that, I never saw a refund in m. When I called back, the man told me he spoke to the owner who could only approve a $200 refund (since they couldn't use that other truck for other jobs.) I don't see why I have to be penalized for their miscalculation. I really wish they would just give me what they owe me... Here is the voicemail transcription from the woman who promised me the $350 refund UPDATE: After I was promised and even received a $200 refund after speaking to Gino, we noticed that they took the money back out of our account without any notice. We were livid and even initiated a chargeback through our bank to get our money back. I called and spoke to Gino who had no idea what was going on and honestly didn't seem to care because he had other more important things to do. He never called me back and my husband and I remained very upset. Finally, about two days ago, I got a phone call from a man named Robert, who apologized profusely for the oversight and offered to return the refund with $50 extra. Even though I'm still not happy I didn't get the full $350 I was owed, it was nice speaking to someone who actually cared about the issue. "0" STARS FOR THIS COMPANY. Friendly movers, in a rush to save you money but....did not properly wrap my TV which resulted in a cracked screen. They were in such a hurry to unpack, when they ripped the tape off the padding, several pieces of furniture had marks from the tape, and a dent in a small refrigerator. Follow up from John Schmidt came quickly after the move but then when there is a complaint, he is MIA. The whole management team is unresponsive. They should rename their franchise to "Movers who do not care". In the long run, the rush to save me money is costing me so much more. While moving my stuff into a storage, some of my items caught on fire [bizarre but true] the movers started scooping up the charred remains and dumping them without calling me or taking any pictures of the items they threw away. We had to climb in the dumpster to discover this. I lost some expensive and sentimental artworks in the fire and john at the office was not forthcoming with any sort of resolution. STAY AWAY!!! Just downsized from a house to apartment. Movers were aware that little furniture was being taken: however artwork and piano were being moved. After repeated calls to Ken- one of their salespeople- who assured me the quality and professionalism of these movers due our concerns, we hired them. Well...of ALL the furniture we gave away to the few pieces we intentionally kept- they damaged the walls in our home ; ripped the leather sofa, broke the chest, damaged our armoire- artwork was NEVER WRAPPED and 3 pieces chipped!!' BUT the BIGGEST concern??? In a 5 mile radius they "lost 3 Pieces of our most expensive artwork". I had to drive to the delivery of the point with a broken foot: wait for the movers to to open the truck and see me. They were sure surprised after their repeated statements that the truck was "empty" Imagine our surprise when I and my friend offered to search tue truck and "suddenly when the likes again" 2 of the pieces were against the side in between cardboard!! One of the men said, "let's hurry and go". Late that evening, I notified the operations manager that a 3rd piece of artwork was missing as well. Imagine that the next morning it was "found" and came to me wrapped- which is was not originally as stated by the delivery man- and CHIPPED!!! Their compensation for all of this?? $240. We aren't accepting and will move forward on our end. Waiting still for our discussion with owner as the GM and Operations guys are throwing each other under the bus. This was the best moving experience I've ever had! I only have a one bedroom apartment full of furniture that I was moving into a two bedroom. I moved most of the small stuff myself, but needed help with the bigger pieces of furniture. From my original quote to the end of the drop off, everyone was professional and the quote was perfect! I have used two other moving companies in the area in the past, and they charged me more than double to move the same amount of stuff! I would like to bring to the public knowledge that this company is the most unprofessional and impolite company I have ever encountered. We hired them to do a move and they had quote me for one price, and they ended up charging me more money. The staff is very rude and unprofessional; the drivers are so careless and reckless despite the fact that the items and boxes were signed "fragile." they were handled very poorly and as a result of the improper handling and unprofessionalism they ended up shattering our brand new glass dining table, this resulted in giving me a loss of $1000 which is a huge amount of money for me, they never provided me with any damage report paperwork or even a simple apology. Instead, I had to call the office myself to try to arrange for any kind of refund for my loss, in which I was told someone would call me back to discuss this issue and no one ever did. I had to keep calling and even got hung up on multiple occasions or sent voice mails. After an endless amount of calls, I was able to speak to a manager who was also very unmannerly, and he told me that the only refund I was going to be able to get is $120 because that's what they believe my dining glass table was worth base on their conveniently paperwork, the manager expressed that they were even being too generous by giving me that amount, and he ended the call with a sarcastic "Have a good day." This was not the type of service I expected to receive from a company who claims to be professional. AVOID. If you care about the items you are having moved do not use this service. There is a reason this company only has 2.5 stars. I am all about positive feedback when it is deserved but also don't want anyone to have to deal with what I did during my move. Long story short my movers showed up (I was sold on 3 instead of 2 to cut time back and save money they said). They sent one hard working guy with two that were slow as could be and complained the entire time. I'm sorry but I don't walk into work and complain or else I don't get paid. So great we will look beyond their lack of professionalism because the price seemed somewhat fair at the time. After watching them move the price was not fair at all. I would have been better off going to FAU asking a few guys to help me out for what I paid and dealt with. NOW after my move its been two months. They damaged a couple items main item being my new upholstered headboard. They did not wrap this item or carry this item to avoid dragging it the water and left water damage, hand prints and dirt marks that WERE NOT there before. Again, basic moving knowledge, keep the clients items the way they were before you touched them right? So now I am dealing with the claims department that says they are doing me a favor by sending a third party out to fix it. The third party came out and could NOT repair the damage the movers did. I am told that is all they can do because they have already paid a third party to try and fix the damage. Working with this company is exhausting. I wrote this to the Manager immediately following my move, received one quick response that he'd send a repair guy...I said no, send me insurance claim form, and that is the last I've heard from this company! See my email to the Manager below: "As you were made aware when we spoke on Friday, we had a number of issues with the move. I'm still in a state of disbelief that your company does not come prepared with power tools!! And as a Realtor here in Boca, knowing that in itself, I would never be able to recommend your service to any of my clients! (due to no power tools, the movers could not take apart my 2 queen beds and when we arrived to my new townhouse they left one bed on the first floor on it's side and the second bed on the second floor on it's side in my living room...bedrooms were on 3rd floor. They told me to call a handy man with a power tool to come help me!!!) Secondly, At the pick up point, one of the movers let me know that he was sorry, but broke two legs off of my vanity/writing desk. It is not repairable. I have had that piece for about 30 years, several moves and never an issue. I will want to be reimbursed for it so I can replace it. Thirdly, regarding my bed and bed frame- the men dragged the queen mattress out of one place on the pavement and into the next place. By the time the mattress was placed in my new bedroom it was filthy and smelled. I am throwing it away and wouldn't let anyone else sleep on it (that's a value of $1,500). The upholstered bed frame ($1,800) was also dirty with spots, scuff marks and even a TEAR in the fabric on the corner of the baseboard. In short, I had probably the worst move I've ever had in my 55 years! I do not want any excuses for how this went. The men were polite but extremely sloppy at best! I also had broken glasses and other assorted messes from them. Please send me what I need to replace the broken vanity. And frankly, feel I should be given back some of what I paid for this move. I got railroaded by Two Men and Truck and they know it. The person came for the estimate we then sold off a lot of goods a glass dining room table 8 chairs, a glass coffee table and two side tables, a sofa and two deep seating chairs, along with some other goods. We then handled 75+ boxes on our own and put in storage. They then did not bring a truck with enough room for our much lesser load which forced them to come back and charge $4432.50 more. That was their fault and would not deliver until we signed that there would be additional charges. They showed up late by hours the first time and then had come back after hours to our community which caused us issues. They did not box our mirror as you said they would and did not lay anything to protect floors or corners. They then charged for 3 people and only showed up with two to unload. They in sum took a fraction of the boxes and belongings. They did not finish until very late the day before our closing. We were told by the staff to dispute the charges next day and they would make it right. They credited us $30!!!!!! I would never recommend Two Men and a Truck to anyone to move. If I could give this business 0 stars, I would. We called in the beginning of April to get some moving quotes to go from Lauderdale to Palm Beach. Leslie assisted with this quote - she was excellent. Day of the move comes (Friday 28th) and Toney, Kasey and another man showed up, they were also fabulous. They moved our stuff with care. We had to utilize them for storage for a couple days since our house was not finished yet (unexpected). We agreed to pay them for $600 of storage fees to store our belongings from Friday to Wednesday. We set up the delivery for Wednesday afternoon (confirmed in writing) to have our belongings delivered/unloaded. Wednesday comes along and as of 4pm, nobody had shown up or given us a call so we reached out. Nobody could give us any answers so I called back around 5pm and was told that they wont be able to deliver as the crew ran over on their morning move. They then indicated that they were booked the following day and it would have to be Friday (2 days later). We didn't have any furniture so we had to book a hotel for two nights at our expense ($500) I called and spoke with Briana, who was more than unprofessional and rude, just to confirm that Friday was solidified.. Zack finally called me back and told me that he was offering a 15% discount, waiving ALL storage fees and sending 6 guys (instead of the normal 3) out to our home to unload the truck on Friday which they said would take 2 hours. Friday morning comes and only 3 guys showed up which they apologized for, but it took an extra 2 hours of labor which they made us pay for. After they unloaded the truck, they stuck us with a bill which reflected none of the discounts promised and proceeded to charge our card without coming to a mutual agreement of what was fair - not $2600 to move a 2br an hour up the road. We could sense the delivery guys on the ground were embarrassed/ashamed of the actions of their management and the manager refused to get on the phone with us when finalizing the bill. After speaking with corporate, we received a call from Victoria who is the franchisee and she was not only rude/discourteous, but said they are busy and that it wasn't their problem that they were not able to deliver on Wednesday as promised. All we expected was some compensation to offset the costs of the hotel or the compensation promised when they didn't deliver as promised. I advised that I would dispute the charge and Victoria told me if we were successful, that she would see us in small claims court. No wonder this place has terrible reviews.
