I called and set up a move for the following month and the women was really nice and helpful. The estimated invoice I received later that day was incredibly expensive. 740 plus dollars for a local move. Yikes! It makes me nervous to pay for the time it takes them to get to and from their office. I want to pay for my ACTUAL move. What if they take the long way around town or get stuck in traffic? Anyway, I had to cancel. The person I talked to seemed nice but as he said "I can get your move off the books" then click. I hear him hang up the phone quite loud. I was shocked. No goodbye?? Ha. We had this company scheduled for a move a month in advance for an 800 square foot apartment. The two people who worked on this job were both brand new to being movers and had let us know. The move took over 10 hours and after the move we were forced to pay for the full time which was $500 over the max cost of the estimate. I don't know what was expected by those who left negative reviews of this moving company, but to each their own. What I do know for a fact is that the team that came to my apartment were unbelievably professional and efficient. They came in fully prepared to help this old woman with packing needs as I can no longer handle all of it by myself. They handled my Seraphim collection with care and each piece was protected with several layers of paper. All of my furniture was padded and wrapped for moving - all of which is heavy and expensive cherry. I have used Two Men and a Truck many times, including my relocation from Minneapolis to Denver two years ago. I have NEVER had anything broken or stolen (as some have stated) and if/when I need to move again, they are the only company that I will consider. I received a detailed outline of anticipated expenses PRIOR to the move, which was more than reasonable - there were no hidden costs. To those who claim they were ripped off, maybe you should consider having all of your friends step in to move your possessions and find out exactly what it's like to not have professionals handling the loads. That is not a 'disconnect'--that is a complete failure in customer service, accountability, and basic professionalism. Horrible Experience, Negligence, Unresolved Damages Our move with 2 Men and a Truck - Denver Metro was a disaster. We were moving items out of an 8x10 storage unit & encountered widespread negligence, vast property damage, & appalling customer service. Despite being on-site with a crew of 3 employees from 2 Men & a Truck & giving clear, repeated instructions about fragile items (which were visibly labeled with stickers, arrows, and handwritten notes), this is what we witnessed: * Movers shoved metal dollies under powder coated furniture, scraping & chipping finishes. They jammed a metal table behind other heavy items, resting it on a single corner (which was also damaged), & dragged a 50+ lb plastic bin over a Restoration Hardware desk, bowing & scratching the base. The top of the desk was scratched in a similar fashion. * A mover began dragging a 200 lb RH metal desk out of an elevator by himself, until my husband intervened for safety. The desk was damaged, & safe handling practices were entirely ignored. * One mover placed a 50 lb Persian rug atop a fragile-labeled box containing a chandelier & which had 2 framed art prints resting on the box--again, my husband had to intervene to prevent additional property damage. * A box clearly labeled "Fragile: Glass Pendant Light" was placed at the bottom of a stack of three heavy boxes in the unit. * Every artwork box labeled "This Side Up" was packed incorrectly, sideways or upside down. A plaster and gold leaf frame was crushed. * A mover, using one hand, slammed a RH side table down--corner first--then onto its glass top. I had to step in & explain to the mover the piece was delicate, so that he would handle items correctly. * A freshly cleaned Persian rug was tossed onto a small dolly by one mover & dragged across the asphalt and facility floors instead of being carried properly. I had to fold the corners of the rug in to prevent additional damage. * A new RH nightstand was carelessly handled, causing its packing to unwrap mid-move. Corners were severely gouged, the wooden veneer peeled, edges were damaged, & pieces were falling off within the wrapping. This item must be professionally restored, along with the RH powder coated furniture. * An antique breakfast table was left resting on its side rather than its base, which cased edge damage to the base and top. We submitted a thorough damage claim with photos and documentation of the movers' negligence. Hanna Gonzalez, the claims representative, showed zero concern for our experience or the crew's behavior. The crew also misrepresented the reimbursement and valuation process for damages during contract signing. All Ms. Gonzalez stated in response to the laundry list of negligent behavior we witnessed was "I apologize your move did not occur without incident" and refused to acknowledge the submitted evidence or our request for a fair resolution. When we escalated our concerns--CC'ing CEO Jon Nobis, VP of Talent Lindsay Gainor, and Controller Neil Santos--none of them responded. We were completely ignored. Eventually, Hanna Gonzalez emailed back saying she was "ceasing all communication" because we mentioned our legal rights, using that as an excuse for the 2 Men team to avoid accountability. We've used Two Men and a Truck twice before and had good results--but this experience was so profoundly unprofessional and negligent that we will never use or recommend this company again. The fact that executive leadership failed to even acknowledge our outreach speaks volumes about their lack of integrity and customer care. We are now forced to pursue financial recovery for the damages caused by negligence through our credit card company's dispute process (which will still not cover the cost of damage repairs), since this franchise refuses to resolve the issue, let alone communicate with us. We gave them multiple opportunities --phone calls, emails--to address this properly. They ignored all of them. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

We moved from the foothills to Parker on July 2. Whie the movers themselves were fast and efficient, there was damage done to our 3 year old bedroom dressers. Evidently the drawers were removed to be put on the truck and when they were put back in the broke the slides on three of the drawers. TMAAT sent someone out to look at them and determined that the ball bearings fell out of the slide and could not be fixed. TMAAT send us a settlement letter for .60/lb (total $191.00). We were not happy, but we did not purchase the insurance. We then get a check for $89.00 and are told that their service guy said he fixed the dressers (not true). We are not left with two dressers that have drawers that ae not usable and have not received a check yet (8/22). We have been ghosted by this company for almost 2 months. We were told by Angela Ayala (claims supervisor) that the claim would stay open so that our landlord could work with Two Men and a Truck to get the damages taken care of (since we were moving out and would no longer have access to the home). Our landlord was out of town when the damages were made, and now that he is back in town, 2 men is changing their tune and saying they won't cover the damages since it's past 3 days. This is the most unprofessional conduct I have encountered from a company ever. Do not use this company. Use literally any other moving company. I would suggest avoiding Two Men and a Truck. During the quote process, we were told that they would be sending 2 trucks and a crew of 4 movers. On the morning of our move, they called to tell us they would only be sending 1 truck and 3 movers. The fact that we only had 1 truck meant that instead of loading up 2 trucks and driving from Broomfield to Denver 1 time, we had to load up the truck, drive down to Denver, completely unload it, drive back up to Broomfield during afternoon rush hour traffic, reload the truck, drive back down to Denver, and completely unload the truck again. Obviously, this added a significant amount of time to the move, which adds up when you're being charged and tipping based on an hourly rate. When I contacted customer service after the move, they came up with excuses saying that we had not packed everything up ahead of time. That is absurd, as we used PODS to move all of our smaller items in boxes ahead of time. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the crew we worked with was excellent. The movers were really nice and did a good job moving our belongings. Unless you want to pay 50% more than you were quoted, spend twice as long moving as you had planned, and have a bombshell dropped on you the morning of your move, it's best to avoid Two Men and a Truck. read more

Don't hire this company. I hired them to move a sleeper couch in our home from the living room to an upstairs bedroom. There was a $165 dispatch charge and an hourly fee of $150. Total estimate $315. The movers came but were unable to move the couch because they couldn't get it to turn a corner from the upstairs landing to the hallway that led to the bedroom. So the move had to be abandoned. The workers were on site for less than a half-hour and the representative adjusted the hourly fee to a half-hour, making the total for the job $240. I thanked the company's representative for giving me a break and even. tipped the workers $10.00 each and then gave a good review, to show appreciation for the efforts of the two workers. Then the next day the company called and said I was undercharged. Somebody at the office disagreed with the adjustment their representative had made and said they were now going to charge the additional $75. I told them I could not authorize that. They had modified the agreement on the date of the move. In reliance on that modification I had tipped the drivers and had given a good review, as the company had requested. Obviously I will dispute the charge with my credit card company but don't deal with a company this dishonorable. Addendum: Two men and a truck wrote a reply to this review suggesting I call them to discuss a resolution but did not give any information on what office I should contact. I'm happy to speak with someone at Two Men and a Truck with authority to resolve this to my satisfaction. You should know that I already spoke at some length three times with the representative who called me the day after the move - after I paid the final bill in full. Her first call to me the day following the move was to ask if I was satisfied with the result. She asked me at that time to give a five star evaluation, which I did in reliance on all that had transpired thus far. Her second call, later the same day, was to tell me she was going to process an additional charge of $75 after I had already made final payment and had already given a five star evaluation to her workers. I protested and explained that her representative adjusted the final bill at the time of the move and I paid it in full. I instructed her not to charge my credit card for the additional sum. I specifically told her I do not authorize her to charge my card for that sum. She said she would look into it and call me back. The next thing that happened was a notification from my credit card company that Two Men and a Truck had charged me an additional $75. She charged my credit card knowing I had told her I didn't authorize it. Then she called me a third time to tell me she had charged my credit card, which I already knew. I told her I would dispute it with my credit card company. I am more than happy to discuss this matter with someone over her head, as suggested by the reply to this review of Two Men and a Truck. I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. I was really nervous to book them because of the reviews but they were beyond great! 4 guys, two trucks... they busted their butts the entire time. 9 hours total (with one hour of drive time between houses). We had a 4,000 sq ft house with 4 bedrooms and an unfinished basement with a ton of heavy workout equipment- like squat rack 1400 lbs of weights, 12 huge rubber floor mats. They broke my $1000 monitor and my entire bed. I seriously think their movers were high... they moved insanely slow and took TEN hours to move a one bedroom apartment. The budget was more than twice what I was initially quoted... plus nearly $2000 in damage. I hired them a few weeks prior to move my office and they didn't even bring ice melt or anything to protect themselves during a snowstorm... the ramp kept icing over and they kept slipping, so they had to stop using the ramp and it nearly doubled the amount of time it took (and the budget, of course). Both moves, two weeks apart, in Nov/Dec of 2022 were an absolute nightmare. They offered no way to help resolve the situation either time, and now they say they will only speak to my attorney. It's unfortunate to say that we are very displeased with our recent experience with Two Men and a Truck. There was a series of events that occurred to lead to this. First, our original quote was for 6-8 hours and it took 12, 12 hours for a 2,100 sq ft house and the new one was FOUR minutes away. All we requested was large furniture, and that wasn't done either as one of the guys was barely on the job for 3 days and seemed like didn't know what to do. Which is understandable, and we get being new, but we shouldn't have to "suffer" from the lack of training. Secondly there were damages that took place. A sofa that was a couple $1,000 was ruined by a busted frame (due to not listening when he was told it wouldn't fit downstairs and proceeded to try, it then got wedged, broken, and took up almost an Hour of time) a cabinet was broken not able to be repaired, and of course the standard marks and chipped door frames. We tried to be understanding and realize that accidents happen while moving, and we did the minimum insurance so we got a minimal payment for the couch. However, when we were told that our brand new carpets were not going to be taken care of/cleaned because we did not ask for the protectors (this seems like something the professional would offer) it was my final straw of being kind. We requested for them to be cleaned as there was mud all over the brand new just cleaned carpets, and they told us no. I was very surprised they didn't want to make it right especially after paying an extra 4 hours we didn't plan on. This became very disappointing and expensive quickly. If the carpets would've been taken care of we would've bypassed all other issues, but here we are. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone and would in fact say steer clear unless you want your possessions ruined with no recourse or care. read more

The 2 movers you sent had been on the job 2 whole weeks, do you really believe they are able to estimate how much longer the job is going to be, accurately in the middle of the move when they couldn't even load the truck correctly? I have to come on here and complain. The movers themselves were great but the company scammed the hell out of me. I was originally quoted up to $840 and at the last minute they added a third guy saying it would cost more hourly would likely be done faster. I was never given a new estimate. The guys came and refused to use the elevators then stated to their team that there were none which was a lie. They ended up charge me $1400. (ON TOP OF CASH TIPS) I called to see if I could get any of that back since I was never given the new estimate and the claim supervisor was an absolute rude heinous b*tch about it, cutting me off and being super standoffish. I explained that there were elevators they chose not to use, I explained I never got a new estimate, they took almost six hours to do this move. This was ridiculous. There was no understanding for how much this cost me. They could have just discounted me a little bit and I would have been happy but there was no compromising anything at all. No empathy. Nothing. Just rude abrasive conversation. I've never had to be so much like a karen in my life but this supervisor brought out the worst with her means of handling the situation. She was unbelievably rude. I get how customer service works. You have to deal with shitty situations all the time but she came into the phone call fighting before I could even explain my side of this transaction. Just unprofessional. Will not use them ever again. Moved two months ago, the two young guys handling my furniture broke a glass insert for my coffee table. No problem right? Should be a simple process to fix a mistake because they are movers and they probably break stuff all the time. I have called and emailed their claims representative twice, asking when I should expect to be reimbursed for my broken property. Nothing. I will have to buy a new coffee table after receiving 60% of the value of the broken table, the value is calculated from the weight if the table. If you think it is silly to regard the value of something by how much it weights...you are correct. But I have not been reimbursed. I would not recommend this company for anything. The day of my move they canceled my move for no reason I was left stranded don't use these lying shysters

I want to start off this review with a few warnings. First Two Men and a truck on Grant Drive in Thornton CO has a "F" rating with the BBB and is NOT accredited. The local office cares ZERO about their customers and their corporate office is just as bad. The movers were about an hour late. This was a Tuesday morning and rush hour Denver traffic can be awful, I'm annoyed but fine ok. They come into my apartment, look at the few boxes (I had 8-10 boxes) and furniture (9 pieces in total with my bedroom and living room) and say that nothing is concerning and it should be a quick and easy move. I lived in a 700 square foot apartment so I didn't have a lot. The (clearly) tenured mover went over the paperwork with me. When we got to the Damage Claims section and additional insurance portion, he told me that he had never had a damage before and I quote, "will not be having his first damage today." He did not explain any of the details of the paid insurance option other than I could add it for $200 and again made a point to say that he had no concerns with my things. He's the PROFESSIONAL so I took his advice and we moved through the rest of the paperwork. It became clear VERY quickly that the second "man" doing my move was very new. The tenured mover told me that he had been training a string of "new guys" lately and he apologized how long it was taking them as the new guy needed to be talked and walked through EVERYTHING he was doing. What should have been 1.5-2 hours tops (again according to the tenured guy) took 3 hours by the end of it. Here's where my review comes in/from. My antique couch (made in 1967) was broke while they were moving it down the apartment stairs. The tenured guy was holding the couch by its 54 year old legs and the new guy was not following directions which resulted in 2 legs being broken off as the couch was going down the stairs, again by "PROFESSIONAL" movers. I have personally moved this couch numerous times with other non-professional movers (ie friends and family) and have NEVER broke anything on the couch. I could not move myself this time around as I am 5 months pregnant. I was told the local office would be in contact over the damage that day. I never received a call. I called the office the next day (Wednesday) and spoke with Bryce Palmer who basically told me that my "free coverage" covered $0.60 of every pound of my couch. They DID NOT weigh my couch OR measure my couch and used their "estimator" to determine that my 10 foot long antique couch weighed 150 lbs and they were likely going to cut me a check for $90. I told him $90 was unacceptable as similar antique couches made in 1967 and by same manufacturer were online for $1700 and that I paid $550 for my couch. He said again, I would likely be receiving $90 for my couch.... I told him again this was unacceptable and that I should be made whole and told him I wanted to speak to his manager, he told me he was the manager and he gave me corporate's number. Following this call and after I calmed down, I reached out to the corporate office and was given the run around and basically told that the local site makes all determinations. What kind of corporate office does not look into issues with their local sites? TLDR: I paid $535 for a moving service that was SUPPOSED to be done by professionals. 1 "man" was very clearly not a professional and that resulted in the movers breaking my $550 antique couch and I am being told that $90 is what they will be sending me to make this "right". Please tell me where I can buy a couch for $90... I have worked in customer service for large and small companies and can confidently say THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS OR MAKING THINGS RIGHT WHEN THEY DAMAGE/DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY. Zach, Carlo, and David were great to work with. They were extremely careful. There was one scratch on my wood floor. Unfortunately, my experience was not a great one. A pack and move job of a one bedroom apartment and my apartment was left with a huge front hall closet that wasn't even packed/moved and several items including suitcases and boxes were left in the apartment. I was assured that my apartment was empty when the movers were ready to meet me at my new residence so I picked up food for them and met them at my house. I called them later to ask where the rest of my stuff was and they assured me, my apartment was empty when they left. After contacting the local office, I got a call, but no return call or email., I am left to pack and move the remaining items rather than working. Makes me wonder what they were packing for 2 1/2 hours since I had the majority of my apt packed. These guys are movers. Not packers. Glasses were stacked with one piece of paper around them etc. No care in handling or packing. Horrible! The guys that are moving your precious goods have no training or common sense. Our floors got ruined, deep scratches from rough bases being dragged across the floor. Upon them leaving we made the head guy aware of the damage, took pictures and because we weren't in contact with the appropriate representative within 96hours (a Friday move) they won't do anything. The representative told me that because it had been past that time frame and that a claim wasn't submitted in writing there was no way for them to know if the damage was done after the crew left. WE HAVE PICTURES FROM THAT DAY, YOUR EMPLOYEE ACKNOWLEDGED THE DAMAGE ("the claim")... and yet they won't do anything. If you want unqualified people in your home who could care less about keeping your house in the same condition as when they first walked in, hire this company. If you want people who care, are knowledgeable in how to handle and move furniture without damaging your property then seek another company because you won't find it with Two Men and a Truck. The movers themselves were very kind and helpful, but the experience with management was nothing short of HORRIFIC. Firstly, I was told the movers would arrive to the property at 12 noon. THE MOVERS WERE 5 HOURS LATE and did not start until 5 PM. I was moving my 102 year old mother out of her condo during COVID and the fact they were so late cost us an additional $350 to the condo management company since they had to wait after hours for the movers to finish. I called and spoke with Bryce and the response was essentially "we don't promise anything, too bad". The customer service was terrible and ended up costing us way more than we anticipated because of their inability to manage their own schedule. STAY AWAY! Go find a company that stands behind their service and is committed to showing their customers a good experience. read more

My wife scheduled a move date for her business with Blake at Two Men and a Truck some time ago. Her lease was up at the end of this month, so this move had to be planned weeks in advance. She reconfirmed the move date 2 days prior to scheduled move date which was to be this past Sunday, 4/29 at 12 noon. At 11:30 on Sunday, this firm informed my wife that her move was CANCELED! She couldn't believe it! She was now in a major predicament with her lease expiring in a day, with the threat that her business would be interrupted at her new location indefinitely. She left several messages for Blake, but no luck. Fortunately, she found Moving U that came to the rescue on Sunday with little notice and completed the move. In summary, my wife would rate Two Men and a Truck ZERO stars if possible due to unreliable, horrible customer service. She further states "Don't use these people!" read more

I needed to move from Westminster to Centennial, and along the way pick up stuff from a storage unit in Littleton. Two Men and a Truck had two men who called on their way, arrived promptly and started to tear down some of the items immediately. I hired this company to move living room and bedroom furniture on 6/1/15. When carrying a chest of drawers from the bedroom, they did not take out or wrap the drawers - so as soon as they tilted it, the drawers all slid out and hit the concrete walkway. One drawer was completely trashed (panel cracked lengthwise and broke off from the rest of the drawers; 3 others had mostly cosmetic damage). The movers had me fill out a damage report and told me someone would be calling me in the next couple of days. They continued moving my furniture to the truck, and about 40 minutes later it started raining. They wanted me to sign a release before they would carry the remaining furniture and big-screen TV in the rain. It was either sign it or they would stop doing anything until the rain stops (and I'd still be paying them per hour). They put "rain" down as the reason the release and said it was only for possible rain damage, so I went ahead and signed it. Well, after all said and done, and having to chase someone down at their office for 3 days (they wouldn't return my calls) - they denied my damage claim on the chest of drawers because they said I signed a liability waiver. I'm not sure if they train their movers to get the customer to sign something, ANYTHING, after damage has occurred, so later they can defraud you out of your refund? Sure feels that way. Especially considering their exorbitant rates ($135 visit fee + $120/hr), I expected them to send someone professional AND act professionally. Instead they sent 2 young guys that barely knew what they were doing. It will cost me at least $125 to get a reputable furniture repair shop to fix the damage. Absolutely terrible experience. UPDATE 6/16/15: they kept sending me those automated emails asking for a customer satisfaction survey...I ignored the first two, but decided to submit a review on the 3rd one. Because of the poor marks that I gave them, the review got flagged for the manager, who called me directly and fully resolved the reimbursement issue within a day. So I will definitely give kudos for such quick resolution once the right level of management got involved (but I would still much rather have someone do it right the first time, which is why it's very doubtful that I would ever consider using TMAAT again in the future). read more
