When it came time to find a wedding photographer for our big day, it was a no brainer! We love you, Sweet Mango! On the day of, Ricky arrived much EARLIER than we paid for, because he wanted to capture as much of the getting ready process as possible. We're super grateful for this, and he got tons of great photos we would not otherwise have! From the moment he walked into our hotel suite, he was all action, camera out, and ready to take photos. For this day, and for all of our other shoots with Sweet Mango, he gave great directions on how to pose for photos, was so creative with how he framed his shots, and flexible and adapted to the sun/weather/background and whatever other obstacles may come his way. Even though we did not get a second shooter and he single handedly had to cover the entire venue and all 100 guests at our event, including an entire lion dance troupe, he rose to the occasion and did just that and much more. I also want to take a moment and highlight the exceptional photo and color editing that Ricky and his partner Avianne do. Our photos from both previous shoots have received tons of compliments from friends and family, and although we have not yet gotten photos from our wedding, we have no doubt that they will be equally high quality and gorgeous. Ricky and Avianne, as well as Abby, are exceptionally skilled individuals. However, it's rare to also find photographers who are just as thoughtful, creative, and super, super kind. Our wedding was in November 2015 our contract said that we would have our DVD in 4-12 weeks and 32 weeks later we got the DVD with a ton of issues spelling and the video itself. When we asked him about it he said it was because he was trying to get it done and "in a haste" he made mistakes. On top of that when we first approached him to fix the video he told me there were no recuts. Then when it came time to do our album we went from having unlimited pages to 10 with a max of 3 photos per page. We reviewed the contract and non of what he said was in there. For the money there are MUCH better photography companies out there!
