Richard Roberts and Two Rivers tree service defrauded my repair shop of $6,085.09 for repairs on his vehicles. Richard took his vehicle off my property without paying and has now gone from offering excuses and endless deadlines to not responding to any calls or texts. Richard is a has caused great harm to my newer business causing us to not be able to repay suppliers in a timely matter and incur more debt to be able to cover for the loss that Richard has caused us. Please consider this situation when you are thinking about using Two Rivers for any services. The next step is involving the law in an attempt to collect this considerable amount while Richard Roberts enjoys the use of his vehicle for his business. Please stay away from this terrible person whom has caused great harm to my small business. UPDATE: Since posting this original review Mr. Roberts has been contacted by the Grand Ledge police department in which it was discovered that he was on a cruise in the Bahamas after telling US that he was in jail for not paying child support. Richard admitted to the police that he owed us money and immediately offered to make payment arrangements once he returned to the country. Instead of doing so Richard Roberts once again vanished and then recently appeared calling the owners personal phone repeatedly and texting multiple threats including threats of slander to our business. Sadly whilst performing research about where to possibly find Richard Roberts (he provided a false address to us) we discovered not only that Mr . roberts spends VERY large amounts on online poker but also that he has also defrauded another repair facility in Meridian township and also took a payment of $27,000 from a man in Wisconsin for tree equipment and then disappeared on that man without shipping out the equipment. This is clearly detailed on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) website. Sadly its plain and simple that this man is a scammer whos out to take whatever he can get. We can't wait to see you in Eaton County on April 4th. UPDATE 4/4/2024: Mr. Roberts lost the civil case and now owes my company $6231.34 within the next 30 days. If Roberts doesn't pay then we then begin the garnishment and property seizure process. In the mean time we have received multiple calls from Westlake financial which is the bank that carries the loan on the 2010 GMC Sierra 2500 that Richard Roberts stole off my property. Apparently I am not the only one he has not been paying. It was also discussed in todays court proceedings that we are not the only entity suing Mr. Roberts nor are we the only repair facility in which he has defrauded. I am also waiting for a return call from the county clerk to verify if Two Rivers tree service is licensed and/or insured to be conducting any form of business. Word to the wise. I would STRONGLY recommend to NEVER pre-pay or give Richard Roberts jr and/or Two Rivers tree service ANY form of deposit as he has shown as well as other complaints verify that you will most likely be ripped off as we and many others have been. Richard Roberts Jr of Two Rivers Tree Service LLC has withheld the side of a business deal where we purchased a 2012 Bandit chipper for $27000 via bank to bank and he is refusing to refund the money or send chipper. I'm 1800 miles away here in across state lines buying what I thought was a good chipper from a reputable business. Please be warned, this man has no good business intentions.
