The breakfast is amazing with local eggs and toast and much more served in their elegant southwestern style dining room and porches. I stayed in the Rustridge Room, with its semi-private entrance. I found it enchanting and spacious, with an unusual barn door...the top half opened right up to a small grassy knoll and ancient tree, extending a mighty bough, worthy of a Cheshire cat. There is a sense of timelessness here, a respect for time, for animals, and the land itself---many of the vines are mature, even 30-years old if I remember my private wine tasting correctly. Yes, that is the other element here: aromatic hand-crafted wines made in small batches by Susan and Jim. To sip fine vintages in their tasting room, with its windows overlooking sweeping vineyards, the grapes ripening before one's eyes, is an unparalleled experience. Not a winery to hit near the end of the day unless you have a dedicated designated driver. If you appreciate rustic style tasting rooms where you can actually speak with the wine makers about their wines then you will enjoy this place. Wine consists of cabs, zins and a chard. I left with a couple reds. Loves the eccentric wine maker; aside from his growing duties he is also a horse jockey. So yes, the tasting room is located in a ranch filled with horses. The horse jockey wine maker signed our bottles and posed for my picture like nobody's business.

On a whim, we decided to give it a try. The owners are nice, modest folks who know how to make good wines. There's no snobbery or airs, here...just a friendly atmosphere and and a limited selection of varietals. I will state that my taste in wines tend to run towards the dry with emphasis on fruit.rather than too much toasted oak. If your tastes are similar, I daresay that you might find a bottle or two here that you can enjoy. When we were there today, they had a fruity, dry viognier, a nice tempranillo,and a cabernet sauvignon blended with a little petit verdot that I liked. The cab did not have harsh tannins that overpower, but just enough to be present without interfering with the almost jammy fruit. They had a syrah, too, but were sold out of their sparkling wine. I ended up buying a mixed case to take advantage of their fall sale. (Lots of wineries do this in order to make space in their cellars for the new wines they'll have once the crush-harvest season is over.)

Even after visiting others in the region, this truly set the bar too high that no others compared! Located in a beautifully scenic area, we absolutely loved the drive from Winters to Nichelini, stopping at some scenic spots along the way. When arriving, we were blown away by how cool the historic house was and the valley it was located in. Tastings take place inside the historic home, where you can see old photographs of the home and generations of family members who have run the winery. Reservations weren't necessary which seems like more of the exception in the area which was perfect, though e had made some beforehand online to be safe. We absolutely loved all of the wines we tried, and Tony was amazing in guiding us through the tasting process, with us trying wines that aren't normally our style, though we really enjoyed at Nichelini. They walked us through the wines in such a helpful way to really understand each in a very approachable way. We absolutely loved how as people who like wine but aren't very knowledgeable that this really was a really great experience to learn more. Everyone at the winery couldn't have been more nice or welcoming, with us staying to talk and try wines over a few hours. When we mentioned that we were taking a trip celebrating our new engagement, they were sure to make it extra special, which we appreciated so much and will always make this a special place in our hearts! I think this will have to become a special anniversary spot in the future after the wedding to come back and celebrate!

For our first time in the area, this set the bar extremely high for how friendly our hosts were and how beautiful the winery is. After surviving wildfires and the tests of time, the main building from the 1800s holds so much history, as evidenced by the numerous photographs lining the walls. The signature tasting consisted of four hand-selected wines: 2024 Moscato, 2023 Caterina Reserve, 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 2022 Petite Sirah. I was wary of the moscato at first because i don't like sweet wine, but this one actually has a sweet flavor without the sugary taste. The next wine on the tasting was the Caterina Reserve, an oak-barrel aged white wine unlike any other I've had before. My favorite wine was the Zinfandel, a red wine that had a nice smoothness and semi dry. We got a bottle to take home for a special occasion. Overall, the Nichelini Family Winery is hands-down my favorite winery in the region and a must-try for anyone visiting!

I stumbled across a recommendation for this place on trip advisor, and I'm so glad we made the trip! Their tour/tasting is by appointment only and private. I found the scheduler to be super responsive and helpful. They were able to fit us in on a Saturday afternoon with only 2 weeks advance notice. Our visit began with a welcome splash of their white, followed by a short tour of the building. We then loaded up in the Polaris and headed out for a tour of the grounds. They provided blankets and a great overview of the wine and grapes and history of the vineyard. We then returned to the main building and had a tasting of 3 reds. I would say the entire experience lasted about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. For $75/per person, it was a steal! Definitely recommend!

On a Saturday afternoon all the tables were filled with guests. There was an EV & Tesla charger in the parking lot which was a nice benefit. Also there outdoor picnic tables. Kids are allowed to taste the olive oil. They also host different events like high tea and olive oil making. Btw the star of the show is the petrified wood countertop at the register. It's millions of years old! Def worth coming to check it out.

We were warmly greeted by the young owners, siblings Marcela & Jorge who had been operating a custom crush facility and olive oil business prior to this newest endeavor. The tasting area is chicly decorated and more importantly, the wines were all good. The rose is done in the crisp French/Provence style, and the sauv blanc had a fresh acidic but not over-the-top profile. We tried their uncommon Charbono varietal that reminded me of a lighter Pinot Noir. Jorge also brought us a taste of a Spring Mtn Cabernet from their separate label Ezeta named after their great, great grandfather that was excellent. In a highly competitive Napa valley, I hope these two entrepreneurs continue to do great things.

Our host, Ilona, was amazing and explained the wines perfectly and we had a great conversation about everything. The food pairing was delicious and went perfectly together. The fresh made mozzarella with the Chardonnay is one of my favorite pairings of all time. All of the wines were great but the Gaps Crown stood out as well. We would definitely recommend doing this experience and will be back!
