We visited this winery while staying in the Niagara-on-the-Lake region and overall had a pretty mixed experience. The property itself is absolutely beautiful--really well maintained, scenic, and a great place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. That part definitely stood out and felt very elevated. We originally came in for food, and while my meal was good, others at our table were pretty disappointed with theirs. Service was fine, nothing particularly memorable either way, but not a dealbreaker. We also planned to do a tasting, but were surprised to find the pricing was significantly higher than what was listed on the website, which was a bit frustrating and honestly impacted the experience for us. Overall, I'd say it was a decent visit with a gorgeous setting, but a few inconsistencies in food and pricing brought it down. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. read more

It is a very pretty establishment but seriously over priced. The wines were good but the wine tasting was over twice as much as what we pay in northern Virginia and roughly double that of California. Waited for the wine tenders to serve other parties that arrived after us for ten minutes. Yes, we checked in with the hostess and pre-paid. Wow! Two sisters is better than I remember. Really nice young lady server named Taylor took great care of us. We were seated on the heated veranda which was perfect because a squall came through as we were dining. The beef tartare was excellent but could have used a touch of real truffle not just the fake stuff. We got there at about 430 pm on a Sunday. We had intended to do a tasting. We wondered around awhile, no-one acknowledged us. We finally realized we needed to go back to the foyer and speak with one of the two women in the hall. We stood there while being ignored for about 3 minutes. Finally I got a chance to speak to one of them. She told us she didn't know if we could do a tasting or not. Then she walked off. The other woman said she thought we might be able to have a glass of "wine by the glass" but she wasn't sure where we could do that. She wondered off. We went to the bathrooms, which were very clean. When we came out, we decided we didn't want to be there anymore. It is a beautiful space. The vibe from the two employees was incredibly uppity and rude. I did a wine tasting at this winery. The ground is beautiful. The wine tasting is inside of a big room. However I thought the wine tasting menu was expensive. For $35 plus tax and tips, we only get to taste 6 glasses of 1 oz wine from a selective menu. The quantity is way too small. The service was just ok. This place definitely deserves 10/10. Our server was very attentive and very accommodating. She gave us a few tasters before committing to a bottle of wine. We got one of the best seats in the restaurant close to the vineyard. The pizza is heavy on mushroom and truffle. The cream base is absolutely delish. The dessert was also fantastic. The two dishes pair well with the Sauvignon blanc. Great ambiance. I've been to many wineries in Niagara and this spot has made it to the top of my list. It does get pizza so make sure you make a reservation prior to your visit. Also come hungry, the pizza is delish. read more

My sister wanted to stop by for a glass of wine and to support a women led winery. The place is popular and seemed to have a wedding. Wine tastings were inside. For a glass of wine you're directed outside to the left kind of away from everything. There's a line. You order at a stand. Limited options in terms of wine, non-alcoholic drinks and you can get some bagged chips for food. You fend for yourself in terms of seating. While the view is nice, I was off put by one of the staff inside coming to our chairs asking us to move as we were not in an allotted section under the tree. We and another couple complied moving our chairs over as those chairs wandered over by mistake. Ten minutes later the same guy, put the same chairs in violation and let another couple sit down. Meh. My sister didn't like the rose. Another didn't like the Sauvignon blanc. The Riesling was rated good. The best part is the view. Bathrooms are clean. read more

The grounds are grand with a long tree lined entrance and impressive estate style building. The outdoor space was not set up for dining or any seating which was disappointing. We purchased two tastings which was the most expensive during our four winery day adventure. I enjoyed the wine and ice wines that I ordered very much. The server seemed very unconcerned and walked away mid sentence when we were asking questions about our flights. He did not return during our tasting and was talking to other servers behind the counter. The tasting room was lovely with a large standing tasting counter and several displays with wine to purchase. We decided to stay for food after the tasting. The dining room was very loud and the wait time was excessive. Again the food was pricey for what we received, a pizza , pasta, and meatball. Two Sisters Vineyards is a craft estate winery that opened in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada in November 2014. It was founded by sisters Angela Marotta and Melissa Marotta-Paolicelli. The sisters had a dream to offer people a unique if not extraordinary winery experience. In the early part of the 21st century, a careful search ended with the purchase of 76 acres just to the south of Niagara-on-the-Lake's 'Old Town' section. The first grapevines were planted in 2007, which included Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Chardonnay grapes. An estate winery building was built on the property which was inspired by the European design made popular in 16th century Venice. In addition to the Wine Boutique and Tasting Bar, the main building is also home to the Kitchen 76 restaurant which features a rustic Italian menu that pairs perfectly with the wines. The sisters would later purchase three other vineyards throughout Ontario, bringing the winery's total acreage to over 130 acres. The head winemaker is Adam Pearce and the assistant winemaker is Emily Royal. My wife and I visited Two Sisters Vineyards in April 2016. We were on a sightseeing trip to Niagara Falls for four days. Several people had told us to head north and check out Niagara-on-the-Lake for its huge winery scene. We dedicated a day for visiting wineries and breweries and Two Sisters was our sixth stop of the day. The grounds and the main building were very impressive; we felt like we were at a Grand Bordeaux château. The interior was really nice too. We had a basic tasting inside the Wine Boutique. Some of our favorites included the Cabernets, the Riesling, the Sauvignon Blanc, and their Icewines. Everything was delicious! We purchased some bottles to take back home with us. We would have loved to have eaten at the restaurant, but we already had dinner plans. We'll definitely be back to have more wine and eat at the restaurant the next time we're in the Niagara area. read more

Customer service has really gone down. My friends and I have made it a point to to return to Two Sisters for the past few years on our annual trips to the wine country. Huge fans of the cab sauv, and particularly the Stone Eagle offerings. Regularly hauled $500 worth of wine home to happy wine fridges. However, the experience and vibe from yesterday's visit left a horrible taste in our mouth (figuratively speaking), and likely we will be exploring other winemakers in the region in the future trips. Pretentious and self-important, the establishment reminded me of grade school with all the rules and regulations. Pretty hilarious at one point really. The most pathetically stringent pours for tasting I have seen. As respectable as the wines were, it doesn't justify the price point. I can easily find a reputable French Sancerre or Chablis for the price of their 2020 Chardonnay. I don't know if I'm paying for the wine, or to maintain the establishment's ego- ahem- I mean, grounds. And don't tell me to support local. I don't need to bring my business to places that treat their clients like basic packages. Part of the charm in visiting the wine country is getting to know those involved in or have a passion for the wine making craft. Unfortunately the servers and manager were too busy telling us what could or could not be permitted on the premise. (For the record we were not drunk or making a ruckus. They just have really strict rules). To be fair, I think the server and the shift manager were just carrying out orders. But not did they come across as being particularly informed about the wines. If Melissa and Angela are still at the helm, the strategy needs some soul searching. Don't let "big-ness" get to your head. Remember it's a loyal customer base that ensures your success. And if world class is what you're aiming for, every detail matters. Following the horrendous experience we went to Ravine, whose customer service and excellent wines thankfully saved our day. read more

Had lunch at the vineyard after our day trip to Niagara Falls. The wine and light food was delicious! We started of with a Riesling wine which was absolutely refreshing. We chose the Salumi formaggi which had a selection of cured meats and imported cheese, marinated olives and Estate fruit compote and also the Carciofi which was crispy artichokes with Parmigiano-Reggiano, parsley gremolata and Calabrian olives roasted artichokes. Everything was delicious!! We noticed many people tried the crispy artichokes...it's definitely a must try!! We tried several of the red wines.. all were delicious! Lastly we ordered dessert. They gave us the wrong dessert ----a Strawberry dolcetta DI Baba which was a Citrus and lime leaf soaked baba, whipped mascarpone ganache, macerated strawberries, with amaretto Riesling Icewine...Didn't try it but looks amazing. We ended up getting our dessert to go which was the Torta Settevilli which was a Dark chocolate and hazelnut layered mousse cake w/ cocoa and orange biscotti, whipped caramelized buttermilk, fior de latte gelato----it was amazing!! We wanted to get a glass of wine on the patio but we're were turned away because they don't allow new tables from 3-5pm because the kitchen closes. I understand not ordering food, but no wine? Also, the patio was PACKED with people and tables so pouring a glass of wine would have been an easy sell. They offer wine by the glass at picnic tables but it's a limited menu of only 4 wines and didn't have the wine we wanted. Very unaccommodating and stuffy. Wine was excellent and we were considering a membership but hated the way we were treated when trying to buy an additional glass of wine. Truly crazy. Keep in mind, we asked if we could buy a glass of wine at our tasting and the answer was also no. I don't understand. Won't be coming back unfortunately. read more

One of the best views in Niagara-on-the-Lake but it comes at a high price tag. We mistakenly took an Uber ride from Pellar. TIP - you can walk literally through the vineyard from Pellar to Two Sisters in about 60 seconds. The building is something out of a movie. Very grand. From the tasting room to the hallway that takes you to the dining room to the outdoor patio. Everything is spectacular. The outdoor patio was unbelievable. It overlooks the vineyard. Four story columns. If you forget where you are for a second you could mistake this place for Italy. Wine was great. Cheese plate was a perfect complement to it. Dinner was also delicious but expensive. Margherita pizza and spaghetti aren't sexy dishes but they sure tasted good! read more

It's generally hard to find a winery with good Ontario reds and these guys have nailed it in both their Merlots and their Eleventh Post red blends.
