Glass of Chardonnay and Riesling overlooking vineyards
    Beth K.

This was the busiest winery we visited on our trip. The waiting for a tasting was 90 minutes, but we were able to do wine by the glass. I got a glass of Riesling and my friend got a glass of unoaked Chardonnay. Both glasses were lovely. We sat on the back porch which had a lovely view of the vineyards

We came for a tasting and thoroughly enjoyed the wines. I prefer a drier wine and am pretty picky when it comes to good wines. I truly enjoyed many of the wines we tasted! Our tasting service was outstanding and the woman who poured for us was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was by far my favorite winery we visited when in the area!

Wow! Two sisters is better than I remember. Really nice young lady server named Taylor took great care of us. We were seated on the heated veranda which was perfect because a squall came through as we were dining. The beef tartare was excellent but could have used a touch of real truffle not just the fake stuff. Arancini was good even though smoked mozzarella is an interesting choice and the sauce has a slight soapy note. Artichokes were diabolical.

Pollo. With roasted vegetables and a mashed potato croquette. Seasoned to perfection!!!

Dining in a beautiful vineyard with world-class food and service sounds like a dream come true.

I came here for a work event. Food was great and vibes eere good. Service is nice and friendly and we ate where the barrels were. Very nice experience. Every dish came with wine and it was so much wine for me

We got there at about 430 pm on a Sunday. We had intended to do a tasting. We wondered around awhile, no-one acknowledged us. We finally realized we needed to go back to the foyer and speak with one of the two women in the hall. We stood there while being ignored for about 3 minutes. Finally I got a chance to speak to one of them. She told us she didn't know if we could do a tasting or not. Then she walked off. The other woman said she thought we might be able to have a glass of "wine by the glass" but she wasn't sure where we could do that. She wondered off. We went to the bathrooms, which were very clean. When we came out, we decided we didn't want to be there anymore. It is a beautiful space. The vibe from the two employees was incredibly uppity and rude. Oh well, lots of other places to go in the area.

Came here to celebrate my parents birthday and definitely enjoyed the food and service. If you have a big group they will have a group menu for you that's per person but honestly they feed you! The family style appetizers was already filling. My favorite was the artichoke dish and the focaccia bread!!! Great place to celebrate special occasions.

Absolutely beautiful grounds and offerings however there was zero heart or passion. The service was ok but when employees are simply doing a job there are plenty of other vineyards to visit. It's a shame :(

I did a wine tasting at this winery. The ground is beautiful. The wine tasting is inside of a big room. However I thought the wine tasting menu was expensive. For $35 plus tax and tips, we only get to taste 6 glasses of 1 oz wine from a selective menu. The quantity is way too small. The service was just ok. The guy was way too busy to talk to us at our table. I wouldn't go back.

This place definitely deserves 10/10. Our server was very attentive and very accommodating. She gave us a few tasters before committing to a bottle of wine. We got one of the best seats in the restaurant close to the vineyard. The pizza is heavy on mushroom and truffle. The cream base is absolutely delish. The dessert was also fantastic. The two dishes pair well with the Sauvignon blanc. Great ambiance. I've been to many wineries in Niagara and this spot has made it to the top of my list. It does get pizza so make sure you make a reservation prior to your visit. Also come hungry, the pizza is delish.

We drove up to Niagara-on-the-Lake as I had good things about that area. I asked a local what wineries recommended and was told about Peller. There are about 40 wineries to choose from in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Peller Estates ended up being an excellent one. We drove up to a large estate with fields. Bartender was friendly. We asked about wine tastings. Bartender mentioned how Canada has ice wine, which American wineries don't have. She let us sample it to see if we liked, which we did and opted to just get the ice wine. Wow, that was a delicious white wine! I wish we had that in the US. But in general, much of the US climate is too warm for ice wine. The grapes are out there to freeze solid. Ice wine needs to be picked below 18 F (-8 C). In Maryland where I live, winter can get cold, but it's inconsistent, some years barely any days below 18 F in Baltimore. Ideally, you want multiple days in a row for a more sustained freeze instead of rushing out for the few hours it might get down to 15 F. On the flip side, it can be too cold in northern Minnesota (where it easily gets below 5 F or -15 C often, which is the lower temp limit) or upstate NY. Also, heavy lake effect snow like that often occurs in Buffalo is problematic. It's a specific microclimate of the Niagara peninsula near Lake Ontario, where it gets cold but not extremely cold too often, not many heavy snowfalls. In the US, near Lake Erie is the sweet spot for ice wine in southwest NY, northern PA, & northeastern OH. Also, northern Michigan near Great Lakes as well as the Finger Lakes region of NY. The lakes moderate the temperatures in the winter if winery is positioned south of the lake, but needs to also be in an area not prone to be slammed by heavy Lake Effect snows like Buffalo. We wanted to sit on the outside, but there was a private event being setup. We sat at a nice table inside the beautiful estate. Afterward, we brought our glasses back to the bartender thanking her and saying the ice wine was excellent. She took the glasses back and said here are 2 clean glasses to take with you thanking us for our visit. This was an excellent experience. Highly recommend a visit to Peller Estates!
