My other mechanics place went out of business and this place was highly recommended by a good friend. She was right! I took my car in for an inspection sticker and oil change. The mechanic, Bly, brought me into the garage to show me a couple of things that needed to be fixed, but it wouldn't affect the inspection. This is something my husband can fix. So instead of trying to get them to repair it, he was honest and helpful. Plus, I was in and out within an hour. The receptionist was very pleasant and the amount I paid was very reasonable!! I have been procrastinating writing a review, I mean how fun is writing a review of your auto mechanic, right? Ok here is the thing. This is the most trustworthy shop I've found in Southern Maine. I've twice had situations that a shop could have easily taken advantage of me, and they saved me over a thousand dollars in being honest. The last time, we had purchased a car that had been at auction without maintence records, and was due to have the timing belt done.On first inspection they could not find the siticker on the block denoting being done, and the previous owner was unsure. The day it went in to do the work they called me as they were starting to say they found the sticker and the work did not need to be done. Any other shop would have done the work and I'd be none the wiser. If you need a mechanic you can trust, these are your guys. read more

I live out of town and was working in Kittery one afternoon when the brakes on my new car were making a terrible sound when I applied them. I was too nervous to get on the highway to head home let alone drive all the way to my car dealer (I had the car only a week ) so I jumped on Yelp to find a local mechanic that would be so kind to look at my car. I called Two Sons and they immediately made time at almost 5pm to take a look at my car. I Thank god they did because it could have been a far worse mess if I kept driving. Very friendly and knowledgeable people and I am thankful they fixed the issue in no time at all. They could have easily taken advantage of this "damsel in distress" but barely even charged me and I got me home safely. I Highly recommend bringing your car here. It really is hard to find mechanics that you can trust, and especially as a woman, there are some who will try to take advantage of what you do and do now know about cars. I recently had a problem with my car and I had no idea what could possibly have been the source, so I took it to a mechanic I had used before, they replaced a part that was not only expensive, but did not need to be replaced because a few days later my car had the exact problem as before. I looked up other mechanics in the area and read the reviews for Two Sons, so I went there, and within two minutes, the mechanic brought me to my car, showed me exactly why my car wasn't working, ordered the part right in front of me, gave me a price, and had it ready by the next morning. Not only did they explain what was causing the problem, but they did not replace anything unnecessary, and charged me a fair and reasonable price for the part and the labor. The bill clearly stated everything done to my car, what part was replaced, and everything was done thoroughly and the problem with my car never reoccurred. I have had other repairs done since then with Two Sons, and each has been handled with honesty, punctuality, and a friendly demeanor. The whole staff is accommodating and friendly, and if you are looking for an honest mechanic who has the experience and integrity to keep your car running, Two Sons is honestly the best choice. I am a college student trying to figure out a safe place to go when I need my car fixed, and I cannot be happier that I found Two Sons. read more
